It has been more than 4 months now since pastor Biodun Fatoyinbo of COZA ministries promised a "robust reply" to the scandal of sex allegation made against him by Miss Ese Walters. photo Has anyone heard any reply at all? I gather he is still preaching and people are still going to his church. My question is: where or when does one draw the line between an erring pastor and a "false prophet"? Before you belt out "touch not my anointed and do my prophet no harm" may I quickly remind you that the Bible says to test all spirits? At what point did this pastor transform from a mere man into God's "anointed" pastor? As far as I can see, all pastors claim that God has called and anointed them, and they are believed without any questions asked or undergoing a test. That's the best evidence anyone ever gets: self-proclamation!! It's not their mistakes or failures that one is concerned about, pastors are but humans and are liable to err like the rest of us; it's the lack of accountability, humility, and abuse of trust that irks. Pastor Biodun has neither come out to deny the allegations nor shown contrition for abusing the trust of thousands of his followers. In spite of his attitude, his die-hard followers continue to bless him with their tithes and offerings, as they "catch" his anointing every Sunday. I hope he would show them some respect by coming clean with his "robust reply" soon. Better late than never, I'd say. |

In a recent interview, popular singer Flavour has revealed that he is not ready for marriage. When asked the secret of his success, he said, "The secret of my success is originality. Right from day one, I knew that if I try to be original, the sky would be my limit. But I know it's going to take some time before that dream would become a reality. This is because nothing good comes that easily. I work so hard to sound so original in my music. Right from when I released my first album, there has been a tremendous improvement in my music. And this time around, I had enough funds to do better videos which has distinguished my style from other artistes. Africans as a whole love originality, even though some might pretend about it . If you are original in whatever you are doing today coupled with being down-to- earth, you will get to anywhere you want to. That has been the secret of my success". Speaking on where he gets inspiration from, he said, I draw my inspiration from people around me, especially things that happen around me I like when things go bad and when things go good because it doesn't have to be good all the time We asked about his proposal to his girlfriend, he replied: People will always talk and turn around stories. But I am still single because marriage is not my priority for now. I still want to hit the top before thinking about marriage. It's not yet time. I am still concentrating on my music. It was once rumoured that you were dating Tiwa Savage after doing a collaboration with her. Was it true? I didn't feel bad when I heard about the rumour because I knowpeople will always talk even if we didn't kiss. While shooting the music video, the director came to us and said, you guys are playing love scene, you need to do something intimate. He urged us do it, and I now looked at Tiwa and she gave me a go ahead and I said 'yes' we can do it. There was nothing wrong with that. More over, we did music with passion. naij.com |

OBJ's Letter: Al-Mustapha Challenges Obasanjo To Public Debate Over Allegations 25 December, 2013 The former Chief Security Officer to late Head of State, Sani Abacha, Hamza Al-Mustapha, has responded to the allegations by former president Olusegun Obasanjo contained in his famous letter to President Goodluck Jonathan that he (Al-Mustapha) was released from prison to help the president train assassins to eliminate opposition politicians Speaking to the Hausa Service of the Voice of America, VOA, monitored in Abuja on Wednesday, Mr. Al-Mustapha challenged the ex-president to a public debate on the allegations he raised. Mr. Al-Mustapha said he was away in India receiving treatment for injuries he sustained while in detention during the administrations of Abdulsalami Abubakar and Mr. Obasanjo when he heard of the allegations via a letter published exclusively by PREMIUM TIMES. “I read Obasanjo’s letter and subsequent comments by Nigerians, I would have responded immediately, but I was away in India receiving treatment,” he said. He also said although his name was not mentioned in the letter, he was sure the former president was referring to him. “If he has anything to say on me, he should mention me directly or even challenge me and not make allusions,” Mr. Al-Mustapha said. The former presidential security chief challenged Mr. Obasanjo to publicly ask him anything. He promised to provide OBJ with answers. Mr. Al-Mustapha swore that the allegation that he is being used by Mr. Jonathan to train assassins is false. http://news.naij.com/55058.html According to his words, he has always been in the vanguard of coming to the aide of people from the north to be recruited into the military and para-military agencies. The official added that he would therefore never involve himself in anything that would hurt the region. “Perhaps it is Obasanjo and his cronies that are planning what he was insinuating,” he added. Mr. Al-Mustapha also said he had decided to forgive all those who had a hand in his incarceration when he was being tried for the murder of Kudirat Abiola, wife of the winner of the June 12, 1993 presidential election, Kudirat Abiola. He was initially convicted for the murder by a Lagos High Court but was discharged and acquitted by the Court of Appeal. He lamented that some people, including Mr. Obasanjo, failed to accept that fact and still harbour fears about him and what he knows about them. “I urge everyone to pray for Obasanjo to accept my challenge for a public debate so that the truth will come out,” he said.
