Lagos should talk about its 'doing'

Allow Enugu to talk about her 'doings' too

Hmmm 🧐 calm down princess. I know it’s hot but drink some tea. In just one post you said they are scared to leave their house and immediately contradicted yourself by saying they sell their properties to Japa. There is literally Yoruba streets in UK and US. So you also blame them for selling their inheritance to you? And they also dislike you? this argument is just top tier comedy. i travel a lot to south east Asia for work, i see a lot of Nigeria group and trust me, even the locals in those countries can spot the difference, from the lousy attitude, inability to assimilate and appreciate host cultures and of course the criminality that attracts attention as if you are the only groups living there. The word courageous and cowardice is something I have found your people are very fond of and it’s always deployed in the most wrong way, why not use some of those courage and braveness to develop your homeland into something people will want to sell their inheritance in Yoruba land just to visit? Why is it always deployed for nefarious activities across Asia?
You obviously don't read well, now go back to my reply and see where I specifically mentioned travel in Nigeria. Apart from travelling to the UK, where do you leave your brown roofs to in Nigeria?

He should as well prioritise security and encourage more agricultural production amongst other in Enugu.

Our past heroes did it, it can still be done again.

Can’t survive without them? Check the migration patterns in Nigeria. Agricultural sector, technological sector, banking. Literally younger folks have been joining your fights to leave, but even your people aren’t capable of voting in leaders that will fight for your cause. Trust me, it will be a beautiful day when you lots leave. When you carry your worn out bags out of the east and come to trade in the west, do you trade exclusively only with Igbos? Or are these same people you so much despise not your consumer base? You are not as important in the wider scheme of things as you think, just loud and wrong.
Speaking of “as Usual” aren’t you the ones dropping of starvation in a war you started? Now that’s not very smart, is it?
You don't migrate because everyone knows how insecure you are. You are not courageous enough to reside outside your house in Nigeria. Now, I'll tell you what is smart. Your whole life depends on what government can do for you but your dullness makes you support the dullest amongst you into your leadership and afterwards, you resort to Selling off your landed inheritance to those who hunger almost finished in a war, just to japa to UK. And in your smartness, you turn around to envy those who bought your land and are developing it. As usual, you give it some tribal colouration of taking over your space, Mr smartness, did anybody put gun on your head to sell off your inheritance?

Do you force people that were originally Biafrans into becoming Biafra?

What's clear is that there's a space called the old Eastern region, and those areas are Biafra land, anyone opposed to identifying with the original owners of the space might not really be interested in remaining there

I have never been against Biafra. Infact I have always been in support.

My only wahala with Biafra is that it can't happen without chaos. There will be massive blood bath cos at this point in time, there are various ethnic groups itching to break off Nigeria. One group cannot leave without the others fighting to leave too. And with Nigeria being a very complex nation, there is already a crisis of boundaries and identities that might not be resolved without blood shed.

Biafra want parts of Kogi, delta, Edo, bayelsa, akwa ibom, rivers states. That won't happen cos those home communities will not allow it. Like wise oduduwa want to break away. Niger delta will want to split out but there will be crisis between the urhobos, binis and ijaws about who will control the area. Even within these groups, there are different factions. There are agitations currently by The Okpe people to be recognised as a separate tribe as they are not urhobos.
The middle belt are not willing to be with the north but the Fulanis will try to overrun their lands, from Kwara on the west to taraba on the east.
Everyone knows the structure of Nigeria before the military started tampering with them, creating artificial boundaries so as to weaken the strength of Igbos in their quest for Biafra. I can tell you, even if it takes 1000years, the old Eastern region is Biafra and will be reclaimed. That part of history can never be erased and the roles everyone played during the Biafran war will be appreciated in due time.

I am in support of the Ghanians in this issue. When you are in another man's land, you have to respect the land, their custom and the people. You can't just take actions without due consultations. Besides, there have been to many reports of wrong doings by Nigerians in that country. It's not surprising that this one that concerns culture will likely degenerate serious resistance. They have to defend their territory for their future generations. If the Igbos are tired of staying in Ghana, they can as well return to south east Nigeria.

Igbos have been welcomed to many places due to their seeming business focused orientation over many decades but this new generation of Igbo youths are something else. They don't realise yet they are isolating themselves both home and abroad. With such behaviours, they can hardly even present their case to the international community when they have issues with other Nigerians
Stop advising Igbos, support the Biafran course so you don't even share a country with Igbos, it's that simple

I get you now.

The Nigerian community was respected and prospering here in South Africa until these people started with their usual nonsense calling the host community all sorts of names and fighting with the authorities, now Nigerians are treated like suspects and hooligans. Sometimes it's best to know your place as a guest and mind your business instead of looking for cheap attention because you cannot control how the people there will react to your instigation. I wish this country could separate and let every man use their own papa name to travel out.
It's why you should be fighting tooth and nail to make sure there's Biafra. By then, you will become the Eldorado that Igbos have been stopping you from reaching.

In my place, the women don't have any particular food request although I don't know if bread was requested here in particular or what the family just choose to serve them but it is a general African culture to eat where someone has passed away after crying or during burial period. He should not deceive himself except obi decides to be his running mate. Obi is the main reason the coalition sound is everywhere. You can't ignore the mass support Obi enjoys even without influencing his supporters with money.

If he exits ADC, Atiku won't have the vote no matter the combo of his ticket. And to make it worse, Obi will still clear south east votes and most South south states.

That's very true. Only Atiku/Obi ticket can defeat Tinubu.... Apart from delusional obidients, the other people pushing Obi are all APC members/supporters... e.g. Festus Kayemo, saying Obi should not accept to be Atiku's VP, Datti, his brother left Tinubu govt, he (Datti) secretly joined and is pushing Obi to contest...Aisha Yesufu, a delusional obidient or perhaps she knows she won't get the cash and publicity she got at the last election..... Obi has already agreed with Atiku before the coalition was formed but am afraid some of these talk might get to his head and he will pull out.... seems obi is greatly influenced by his social media followers/ advisers
It's better like that now. If Obi can't have it this time, Atiku too should forget it both now and forever. The mass publicity and support the coalition enjoys since its inauguration is simply because of Obi's presence there. If Obi leaves the coalition, it becomes empty, you can take that to the bank. If the North's & Atiku's greediness would not allow them throw their weight behind Obi's president, then let Tinubu continue with his havoc. I can tell you that before the 2031, the north will be at the forefront for secession because I know Tinubu will match out hard with his real plans which he suspended for the sake of second term.

CrimeRe: Obosi, Anambra Boils As SASA Operatives Wreck Town Hall, Vigilante Vehicles by NSK4U(m): 12:36pm On Jul 03, 2025
IyaTola:
While the idea of state police sounds practical in theory—especially with the promise of local knowledge and quicker response times—it carries severe risks in Nigeria’s current political and institutional climate. The major concern is abuse of power by state governors. In a system where checks and balances are already weak, giving state governments control over armed forces could easily lead to political repression, targeted intimidation, and erosion of civil liberties.

Nigeria's political landscape is deeply divided along ethnic, religious, and party lines. Introducing state police in this context risks turning law enforcement into tools of ethnic or political enforcement, especially during elections or civil unrest. Vigilantes and local forces, while familiar with their communities, can also become extensions of political thugs, further escalating local conflicts instead of resolving them.

Moreover, the lack of standardized training, funding, and accountability mechanisms across states means some regions will have professional, disciplined forces, while others may descend into chaos or become militarized arms of state leaders.

Until Nigeria establishes robust institutional safeguards—like independent police oversight bodies, judicial reforms, and strong federal-state power balance—the move to state police could worsen insecurity by decentralizing corruption and repression rather than addressing the root issues.
Good. But the points you listed against state police are currently happening with the federal police structure being controlled from Abuja. Moreso, aside the governors using it for political benefits especially elections, there's nothing more they can use it for in the negative. Don't forget election is periodical too, so it means that at worst, insecurity could only happen in electioneering period? Remember also, that not all the governors will use it for politics in their state. But leaving it in the hand of the federal makes it worse off because terrorists and all forms of criminals could come into a state and wreck havoc, yet get federal protection like it's currently happening and during elections, the president uses it against his opponents both at the federal and state level.

IyaTola:
Imagine this being a state police, the abuse of human would be unimaginable

Challenges to Consider:

While the benefits are substantial, some concerns include:

Potential for abuse by state governors (e.g., using police against political opponents).

Risk of fragmentation and uneven standards across states.

Funding issues—not all states may have the resources to maintain a professional police force.

The creation of state police in Nigeria could significantly improve security, local governance, and public trust in law enforcement. However, to succeed, it must be implemented with strong legal frameworks, oversight mechanisms, and safeguards against political misuse.
The challenges you're complaining of are happening on a grand scale now with the president calling the shot.

But with state police which will be supplemented with vigilantes, everyone knows who is who in the state. If you want to compromise on security, it's either going to affect you or your relatives directly or otherwise.

There's no argument against state police that can stand the test of time with Nigeria's current situation
