ONLINE SALE OF POSTGRADUATE APPLICATION FORMS
This is to inform the general public that online sale of the Bayero University, Kano, Postgraduate Application Forms for the 2015/2016 Academic Session commenced on Monday, 7th September, 2015.
All interested Applicants should visit the Bayero University website: www.buk.edu.ng for details about available programmes and the procedure of applying online. Please note the following information:

1. The cost of each application is Ten Thousand Naira (N10, 000.00) only, plus administrative charges of Five Hundred Naira (N500.00) only, giving a total of N10, 500.00.

2. The duration of the sale and submission of Application Forms is from Monday, 7th September to Friday 16th October, 2015.

3. An Applicant should ensure that he/she has the entry requirements for the programme applied for, plus five ‘O’ Level Credits including English Language and Mathematics as appropriate.

4. Applicants for Ph.D/M.Phil and Academic Masters’ programmes should ensure that transcripts of their academic records are sent to the Secretary, School of Postgraduate Studies, Bayero University, Kano. Note that Applicants for Ph.D programmes are to provide short research proposal of not more than 350 words in the space provided on the online application form. The proposal should include title, statement of the problem and objectives.

The Application Procedure

STEP 1 Visit www.buk.edu.ng and under the PROSPECTIVE STUDENT TAB click Applications at the home page. Login using FULL NAME OF THE APPLICANT and select “Applying for a Postgraduate Programme”. A

username and password will be generated for you. Please take careful note of them, as you need them for subsequent steps of the application process.

STEP 2 Personalized Payment Invoice will be generated immediately for you. Print it and go to any branch of the Banks listed on the invoice nationwide to make a non-refundable payment of N10, 500.00 (Ten Thousand Five Hundred Naira Only).

STEP 3 Return to www.buk.edu.ng and login with your username and password to fill in the Application Forms; Programme Selection Form, Personal Data Form, Qualifications Form.

STEP 4 Transcript Request Form shall also be filled by candidates for Ph.D, M.Phil and Academic Masters’ Programmes in addition to the forms listed in Step 3 above.

STEP 5 Review your forms to ensure accuracy of all information provided. Click
‘SUBMIT’ to complete the application process.

STEP 6 An Acknowledgement Slip will be generated for you immediately. Print the Slip and keep it safe. The slip will be needed during the collection of admission letter and during registration.

Please note that only Candidates who applied through JAMB for Direct Entry Admission and chose Bayero University as their First Choice are 10 eligible for the screening.
PROCEDURE FOR THE ON-LINE SCREENING

Step 1: Visit www.buk.edu.ng and click Direct Entry Online Screening at the home page. Login using your DE Number, Phone Number and email address.

Step 2: Personalised payment invoice will be sent immediately into your email inbox. Print it and go to any branch of the under -listed banks, nationwide to make a non-refundable payment of N2, 500, 00 (Two Thousand Five Hundred Naira Only) being the cost of screening as well as Bank and Administrative charges.

Step 3: Return to www.buk.edu.ng and login to complete the screening. Note that applicants cannot complete the screening until their payment is processed and verified. NOTE that the photograph uploaded will be the only Valid ID for all admitted candidates throughout their stay in the University.

Step 4: An auto-generated Online Screening Acknowledgment Slip will be sent immediately into your email inbox. Print the Slip and keep it safe. The slip will be needed during the collection of admission letter and during registration.
