tintelch:They are better than freelancer in the sense that there is not so much spam there and you can easily get started as a beginner there. But it is not better than fiverr if you know your way around fiverr. And yes, very active... |

tintelch:Recently, Freelancer has gone bersack. The Indians are making life difficult for new comers there. Why not try Upwork? |
Yeah. Thank God. I hollered at my aunt in the UK and she agreed to use her PayPal for me. So my advice is for everyone to try and get someone they trust to use their PayPal and then receive your money's true worth in naija. God bless our hussle. |
Oh my God... As if you guys can read my mind. I have kept my funds in my account for some time now, fearing I will be creamed off again after I withdraw. I have been thinking of a way out. Please whoever is going to help us should not think twice. You are going to be helping a lot of people; undergraduates, unemployed graduates, parents, even lecturers and teachers. Just think about how much these people are making off of us. We work tireless nights and they sit down, collect the funds, and keep getting fatter. God bless anyone who venture into this with the pure intention of helping us. |
eripecs:very cool |

JSayin:I write only articles. However, majority of my jobs comes with repeat clients plus I can write on almost any topic. |
tranxo:I currently use Hisenjos too for withdrawal. But I'm researching alternative method of withdrawal. I learmed sometimes ago that Payoneer can help you open a checking account in the us. I will post progress but if anyone has a solid info on this, they can share... |
mercyland2015:Haba, it's just a snippet, not the whole article. I used a total of 262 words (including spaces - I use spacing a lot). And the sample was around 170 words, the rest is the description. The purpose of the snippet is just to show the client how you write or your writing style. This is mostly useful for someone like me just starting our and those with English as a second language on freelancer (I work mainly on Upwork, just want to diversify as that place is getting dry). The client can quickly see your writing Style and know that, okay you are good, but just new to freelancer. What I suspect will happen if the client like the snippet is to actually ask you for a sample (a complete article in this case). Hope this is clear... |
I'm through with my first assignment on freelancer. I'm waiting for the client to give me a feedback. Hack #1. This hack is so simple and obvious that majority will over look it. And it is what won me my first job. Some people may already be using it and that is fine. But I am writing this to those who are not aware of it. When I look at projects on freelancer and see people bidding, all I see is just freelancers bidding on the same job without anything unique. I am yet to see any bid that stands out from all the jobs I have reviewed. What do I mean? Most bids are just bid. The freelancers bidding are just bidding for the purpose of bidding. The are not SELLING themselves. Let me give you a concrete example. When I was applying for my first job, there were many bids already. I even saw one sponsored bid of a well established freelancer. But all those bids were the same. And I need to sell myself, to stand out from the crowd. So when I looked at all the bids, it seems they all just submitted their bids like that, no description about their skills is adde So after I submitted my application, I did something else. I added a description of my skill and how I should be awarded the contract. Then I went further to include a snippet of a sample article I've written before. That was like a heavy bullet. When I rechecked all the bid, I could see my bid begging for attention. Do you know what happened next? Freelancer placed my bid just below the sponsored bid and "you have a higher chance of being awarded" not the exact phrase but something close. Less than 15 minutes later, I saw a message from the cleint and 5 minutes later I was awarded the job. The moral of the story is that you have to do more than every other freelancer when bidding. What do you think can help you stand out among a myriad of bids? Think outside the box. Sorry for the grammar mistakes here and there. I promise the next hack will be more powerful than this. But make sure you start doing this after reading this. And if you already know about this, that's a comfirmatiln that it works... |

theladywriter recommends Payoneer. Please get on their website, register and let the card be sent to you. It's the best for now... |
@ Hibiscuss, writing. @ David, milestone is just a kind of guarantee you will get your money after working for a client. When a client create a milestobe, it means they have deposited some money that will be released after you complete a job. You can read more about it in freelancer faq. You get more bid point by buying more point. If you are just starting like me on freelancer, you can manage the bid point till you earn some money to upgrade ade your account. Later I will be sharing some hacks you can use to increase your bid winning. For now, I'm very busy but I will come back here later today or tomorrow to start. At mojeed, I don't mind, will reply soon... |
I started on freelancer today and got my first job with my first bid. To be candid with you, there is no barrier for entering the market as a new freelancer, even if you are from Nigeria. Forget about what some people will tell you that being from Nigeria or Africa might limit your chances. In as much as you know what you are doing, you can survive on any freelancing platform. Last semester, I started on Upwork, immediately I resumes school. Today, I've earned more than a thousand dollar. This is not to boast, though. I am only chipping this in for those who are still doubting the system. Thanks to people like theladywriter. If more people are like her in nigeria, I.e. not selfish, we won't ever be suffering in Nigeria. As my own token, I will be sharing some tips that will help you win bids and do better on freelancer or Upwork. Again, I am not an expert, nor I'm I trying to promote myself. This observation is just to let the skeptic get to action. |
thank you. excellent service as usual |
ruphytelecom:I'm currently in Ilorin. I tried booting in verbose mode and I got this error: AppleYukon2: RxRingSize <= 1024, TxRingSize 256. RXMAXLE 1024, TXMAXLE 768, STMAXLE 3328 I read online that it is hardware issue and that I might have to change my hard drive. I want to know if this is true before I come down to Lagos. If I'm to change my hard drive, how much would it cost me? thanks... |
I have a macbook that hangs at the apple logo. It does not get to the login page for me to log in. The last time I used it, I was using the text pad to type and the fan was running very high. I kept using it like that until the battery went off. It started that problem when I on it the next time. I suspect it is the hard drive that is faulty because I have tried all the methods that could solve any software problem on it but its not working. How can you help me? |
Check your mail. Msg from ismail |

Hello, pls who knows Payoneer's Dollar to Naira ratio? Is it N170 = $1 or N190 = $1. |
Hello. 1. How much is your dollar to naira? 2. What is the limit of withdrawal you can do? 3. Do you withdraw from Upwork (formerly Odesk)? |
Anyone? |
