They don’t have churches; they have "Kingdom Halls" instead. Their congregations are uniformly small, usually numbering less than two hundred. Most Witnesses used to be Catholics or Protestants. Let’s look a little at their history, because that will help us understand their unique doctrines. The sect now known as the Jehovah’s Witnesses was started by [/color] Charles Taze Russell [color=#770077], who was born in 1852 and worked in Pittsburgh as a haberdasher. He was raised a Congregationalist, but at the age of seventeen he tried to convert an atheist to Christianity and ended up being converted instead—not to outright atheism, but to agnosticism. Some years later he went to an Adventist meeting, was told that Jesus would be back at any time, and got interested in the Bible. The leading light of Adventism had been William Miller, a flamboyant preacher who predicted that the world would end in 1843. When it didn’t, he "discovered" an arithmetical error in his eschatological calculations and said it would end in 1844. When his prediction again failed, many people became frustrated and withdrew from the Adventist movement, but a remnant, led by Ellen G. White, went on to form the Seventh-day Adventist Church. A SPIRITUALLY ORGANISATION WITHOUT SUBSTITLES, SEEMS TO ME LIKE A PRISON........................... even in the early church there are versions, some appolos, some peters some pauls,.................. so it is now some adeboye, some tb joshua, some ......etc............. but JW, seems to me like a close loop, as a psychologist i think a church that wont allow mixing under the body of christ is more of a prison yard that church............................ if i like tommorw i decide to leave my church and move to redeem, same christ, i can decide to move to rhema or winners its my gospel right and i can do that if i like, anythign tht runs contrary to this is ........................HYPNOSIS. LOL, at this age and time, i doubt if a sound mind would like to stay under a doctrine without proper investigation.......................... MOST of us were born christian, we got born again by conviction.........................................if u found ur fellowship to be more of a devotion and not convintion, u gotta start Digging................................. Last sunday, BABA KUMUYI told the whole church he is going to change some old long doctrines because he said it aint allowing growth in church, me just dey lafff, and some has been under such doctrines for years trapped, now a new set of doctrine is coming out................................................. this i called living under another mans mind, be freeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee freeeeeeee like a bird, then u can be able to see with ur naked eyes................................. i insist, because people found it hard to let go of their beleive its the Hardest thigh to doon EARTH, Jesus met a stiffer and more doctrinized society than u guys and he could only teach them what the GOD head wants from us, but very carefull to call himself GOD..........COS LIKE YOU GUYS who stood by ur beleive many also would have easily rejected him and call him blasphemous . to JEHOVAL WITNESS, i have a question and am done argueing, if you beleive there is anly one GOD and JESUS is not among the GOD head.........................................................................then how do u solve this statement, noone can get to the father except thru me? how do u serve God without the sacrificial lamb? 2= what does the holy spirit mean to ur christian theology,? 3= how many of you have had a spirittual fellowship with GOD straight forward, pls answer, i want to know how u fellowship. cos i await it to be in line with the book of acts and the early church? since this is a spiritual page, i wanna learn how u grow spiritually and fellowship with out holyspirit and connection to Jesus..........................................................pls dont be evasive i careless on who is right or not but i wanna lern from any Jehova witness spirirtual growth and how they attain it....................... waiting? |

Maamin:Pride? I wonder how it's a pride that I said am not a baby xtian. U quoted I said Jesus words were in parables, allegory or encrypted did I say the Bible? Old testament is straight, no parables or philosophy........ JESUS words are encrypted, and in full parables that it took his direct disciples to decipher some words but I never said the Bible as a whole, especially the old testaments. They are direct and multiple sourced, and not connected in witnesses or writing. Moses wrote 5 books many author were unknown etc. I think u really need to apologize to me for accusing me wrongly............. Where is the double standard. I said Jesus u said Bible................. When u wanna accuse make sure u have ur facts...... I said I wasn't a baby xtian in the sence of the scriptural arguments that dosnt make me proud? I really am not a baby xtian yet it ain't mean am still not learning....................... When u get to some level and someone tries to bring ftins u already v been thru with I don't think it's pride to say bro, u err. Lastly, since u concur to the facts and we now have an understanding that u stand corrected of ur norms then all is well.......... The race is not for the swift nor the fastest. U are entitle to it, but to see facts and all this scripture and still hold on is to me a Peter like altitude to circumcision. New testament The Holy Spirit s time is the current time, if u have no holy spirit it's certain u can't communicate to God.......... This is the Holy Spirit and he is working on the church, when a preacher preaches the Holy Spirit arrest the heart and make it sober to understanding............. He teaches beyond realm and can guide us to most holy place. I insist, doctrines are man made, and u can see them even from the first apostles till now. Now to think am trying to convince u will mean me been stupid, u are mature enough and can decide for ur self, yet the Holy Spirit duty is to convince u................... Hebrew 1=8, God the Father talks of God the son As God, it should have stop all this argument yet u won't just believe with all this rich scripture A kingdom can't divide against itself, I am a god and As a god, God is my God, and a son by adoption to sonshiip, God in 3person will forever be a mystery even Lucifer dint get it, it take Holy Spirit to get it. |
