Many are oblivious of the meaning of the word grace.
A sinner who wilfully continues in his or her evil ways cannot enjoy grace of any kind, what he or she is privy to from God is mercy.

Matthew 5:45
That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.

Now the above verse clearly shows that God reveals his arbitrary mercies to both sinners and saints alike. For the avoidance of argument, let's see what grace can't do, so that if you're living in sin or serving the devil or the world you won't say it's grace you're enjoying or that you're covered with grace, there is nothing like that.

Romans 6:1
What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound?

We can see from the above verse that if sin is in your life and you're not ready to repent and do away with it as a sinner, you can never enjoy the grace of God. On the other hand, if grace was in your life already as a child of God and you chose to slide back into the world, grace leaves immediately as it cannot co-habit with sin, nevertheless mercy will continue to plead with you to make amend before it's too late.

Now let's look at what grace does in a man's life once it appears to you in the below verse; while you're at liberty to receive or reject it. Unfortunately it has appeared to all men of all ages and will so remain till the end of the world, but majority rejected it in the past and are still doing so till now.

Titus 2:11
For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men,

Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world;

Grace teaches us to deny ungodliness and lust after the things of the world. Be it sex, pleasure, money, worldly music and entertainment etc.

And in a nutshell Jesus himself is the grace of God we often talked about. So it is evident therefore that a sinner cannot enjoy Jesus or carry Jesus or be covered by Jesus as long as he or she chooses to continue in sin, he only comes in when you're ready to let the world and the devil out of your life.

Revelation 3:20
Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.

In summary, what a sinner or evil doer enjoys is not grace but mercy awaiting repentance. Let no one therefore undermine the mercy of God because although it is long-suffering but has an expiry date, and once it expires the gravity of judgement that follows is simply unspeakable, for it is an eternal domination in the lake of fire. It is a fearful thing to fall into the hand of the living God.

Romans 11:22
Behold therefore the goodness and severity of God: on them which fell, severity; but toward thee, goodness, if thou continue in his goodness: otherwise thou also shalt be cut off.

Revelation 20:15
And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.
