FamilyRe: My Father-in-law Is Making My Wife To Disrespect Me! by nwank85(f): 11:25pm On May 24, 2018
The deed has been done. I can imagine what you are going through right now.
Yesterday is a lesson and tomorrow is an opportunity, I will only advise you to gather the little money you have and start something, no matter how small and at the same time, you find yourself a job. Be prayerful and think outside the box, everything you are passing through will soon be a history.

Remember: Tough times never last but tough people do!

Vicjustice:
FrontPageLawyer has done justice to your question, the only point that i like to add is to question number 1 regarding proof of residence.
Tenancy agreement alone is not enough evidence that your husband resides in the said property: he needs a supporting utility bill to prove this.
@Abnot, vicjustice, frontpagelawyer, justwise and other folks that assisted me during the period of waiting to get my visa, God bless you all. I have collected my visa. I am grateful.

@justwise Please i need an urgent reply, I am making an online application for me and my child to visit the UK this Easter. How do i make the application? should i make a separate application for me and my child and pay the application fee separately? kindly let me know how do i link both of our application and summit it as one. thanks
It depends on the age of the child. There is a new rule stated in the UKVI website that states that 'As of 07 July 2014, children under the age of five will be required to apply for their UK visa in person in order to attend a biometric enrolment appointment.'

abnot:
Normally in this era payment of salaries/allowances via cash is very vague as bank electronic transfer is the norm creating room for verification of the source of the money and thereabout.
Regarding the UK visa, one route most illegal immigrants have used in entering UK is via the visit visa whereby they overstay the visa's duration. Consequently, entry clearance officers are usually very strict with the financial part of visa applications especially from third world countries like Nigeria.
It is believed and a known fact that with a good economic situation, an applicant is not likely to immigrate to the UK illegally via a visit visa
Thanks for your prompt response. The institution I am working with doesn't issue pay slip to their employees, I am thinking that if payslips are not issued, how will I proof to the embassy that my employer pay tax and also is it possible for the total deduction of one's income to be a rounded number amount, like #15,000?

You got to be paying yourself a fixed amount monthly from the company via bank transfer (not cash). On the visa form there is a clause that asks for other sources of income from friends, family, stocks, investments....In that section you write down the amount you get from your company monthly
@ abnot, pls what is the implication of paying 'yourself' in cash and not thru 'bank transfer'?

FrontPageLawyer:
A landlord tenancy agreement should be sufficient for proof of accommodation.

Though your employment ties is not substantial enough to convince any ECO, but since your husband is sponsoring the trip with N400k, you'll have to make your budget very prudent and give it a try.

If you're a visa officer and I tell you I work with SHELL Petroleum without any proof such as employment letter, what will be your decision?

You just started working with this company which is a red flag and you have no document to show your job is subsisting and will definitely bring you back to Nigeria after your visit i:e employment letter, salary account, payslip (showing monthly tax deduction), leave letter.

Your Msc has nothing to do with your application, a few visa officers lay emphasis on these three important tools. "Family ties, employment ties, financial ties and strengths.
Thank you so much sir. I am just concern if i was asked why I just started work that is why I was considering adding my masters documents. Pls, I need more contribution. @ justwise, Vicjustice and the other gurus, abeg I need your candid advice.

Thanks for your unending contribution. I must commend you all, you are doing a great job here. Please I need answers to these questions

My husband is on scholarship with all expense and upkeep paid. he stays in a duplex that is occupied by 4 persons(mostly students like him) in the house including the landlady. He is inviting me but then the last occupant of the room he took, registered the phone line in his name, and the other utility bills are registered in the name of the land lady

1. How can we proof that he is one of the occupants of the house?

Then, I just finished my masters (will convocate in April) and just resumed work in January(in a school) with not too much account balance though my husband intend to sponsor me with 400k from his salary account here in Nigeria for a-2wk school vacation. My husband is a lecturer in one of the Federal University in Nigeria and has signed bond with the university and the scholarship board to return immediately after his studies in September.

2. Is this financial obligation and my tie (job and convocation) to my country solid enough to convince the consular officer?

Then where I work, my employer does'nt give confirmation letters to staff, when u are in then u are in.

3. Is it still neccesary to support my documents with the letter?

4. Do I need to submit my results and confirmation for my just concluded masters study just to justify my recent employment status?

Please, I need you all to analyse my questions. Thanks in anticipation.

Please, I need the help of some experts in this forum. I just finished my masters programme and my husband just travelled to the UK as a tier 4 sponsored student. I want to join him there but am not presently working though i have an external sponsor to sponsor the trip because my husband did not meet up to the financial requirement stipulated by the UK. Please, what type of visa would you advise me to apply for and documents I would need? Thanks for your candid review and response.

Can something that is unjustifiable be justified?
Your question is as good as asking how a house tenant can justify that he owns the house.
@ Vicjustice, thank you for your response. I perfectly understood your message, so what is your advice? For further clarification, my husband lectures in one of the Federal Universities in Nigeria and he got a scholarship to study at the UK; sponsored by the UK govt. There is need for me to get to see him soon. so, what do u advise me to do? Thanks

@ vic and the other experts here, I must commend u, u guys are doing a wonderful job. Thanks. Please, I need your candid advice. My husband wants to apply for a UK dependant visa for me, he is a tier 4 UK student, but the issue is he does not hav sufficient fund in his acct so he collected it from a friend. my question now is how can he justify the fund and coupled to the fact that the amt was deposited in lump. Please, I need advice and I also need the view of people that had been in this kind of situation. Thanks
TravelRe: A Comprehensive List Of The Documents Required For Visas by nwank85(f): 10:41am On Oct 24, 2015
@ Vicjustice, thanks for the pieces of advice u give here. i have a question; i saw a statement on the PBS dependant guidance outline which states thus;

'PBS (Dependant) POLICY GUIDANCE

iii) Letter from bank confirming funds and that they have been in the bank for at least 28 days. The letter from a bank or building society should show:
• the name of the main applicant and/or your name, or (for children only) the name of your other parent who is also legally present in the United Kingdom;
• the account number;
• the date of the letter;
• the funds held in the account; and
• that the funds have been in the bank for at least 28 days and the amount of money available.
Letters that simply state the balance in the account on a particular day or an average balance over the 28 day period are not sufficient.'

My question is dat does this means we could present only a letter from the bank with these details inclusive without the statement of account or what? Please, I need an urgent reply. Thanks.
