The value for fasting blood sugar that I have had recently has been fluctuating between 105 and 140. 105 is the lowest I have had.

My sis, it's not by choice thatbi haven't started. Yes I have been on preggie vitamins but yet to do all the other stuff u mentioned.

Please register for ANC sis....21wks is far gone already. You are suppose to be given 3shots of tetanus injections, your urine is suppose to be checked routinely to rule out infections, your PCV is supposed to be checked routinely too amidst other checks. Hope you are on preggie vitamins like pregnacare, calcium, folic acid e.t.c?

oh @zaynie thanks so much for the suggestions. I like that of midwife very well. Unfortunately I have stayed here in Owerri for just a few months so I don't really have reliable to ask but I will still fish and see.

Try a health centre.
Go to a big church. They organize ANCs for preggies. I think Apostolic does.
Contact Nurse Kaffy ( if you are in Lagos), her services should be cheaper than a hospital and she can monitor you for the mean time if you arent in Lagos, try to source for a Fully Trained Midwife that can regularly check you up. It will be cheaper and you can PayAsYouGo.
God will surely provide for you soon enough. Keep holding on, it is well.

Oya quick go and register o. Its very important esp if you are a FTM.
Apart from all the drugs and injections. You also get to know the ppl that will be handling you at your most vulnerable. You can gauge their attitude/ competence from ANC.
You should have used the first dose of your antimalaria drugs by now + Tetanus shot +know your bp, blood sugar, protein etc.( these are markers that can det if there will be complications during delivery or the last trimester and they can be treated or managed as long as your Dr has your history)

Ignore all the above if you are not a FTM.

Can't afford to for now. Going through an unexpected very dry spell. The govt hospital here is on strike so has to be private. I have been taking pregnacare. I know my blood sugar is high, trying to manage it via diet. Bp is good. Dunno bout protein .

Wow, I'm so happy for u, n u're so ryt, it's just abt taking one day at a time. I started spotting dark blood at 5weeks n it has bn on for 5 days now. D 5weeks scan showed a Sac n multiple intramural n submucos fibroids, with features of degeneration, d doctors want me to repeat d scan at 7weeks, tho d pains is not severe now

I have fibroid too.mine is 9cm and 6cm intramural (anterior ) I am already 16weeks and I don't experience any pains yet.I don't know if it's because the placenta is in a posterior position

I had some discomfort at 8 weeks. Felt like I had done 500 sit-ups the day before. After four days it eased up. And nothing since then. We are now 17 weeks . Trusting God for the best.

Mine are quite large . @15 weeks I was thought to be 26 weeks gone. Plus one is said to be positioned in the lower part of the uterus which makes it a challenge for the baby to pass easily vaginally. So I keep an open mind on that.

In my first pregnancy, I had severe pains @11weeks, went for a scan n was told I had fibroid, susequent scans showed same bt d size wasn't so big, my consultant gave me drugs to manage d pain til delivery, a second opinion said I wil go for elective cs, bt my consultant insisted dat I cud do a VD since d fibroid was in a position dat didn't hinder delivery. Had my baby successful thru VD, am even pregnant with another baby, although I don't have those severe pains I had before n haven't gone for scan to know d status of d fibroid.

I have ignored them o. Prepared my mind for a CS and I stay off my feet as much as I can. I have learnt to be lazy o, no superwoman things, Avoid sugar and processed foods (I blame an overdose of lacasera for my last mc), prayers and taking one day at a time.
