You can put a warm compress against his stomach. Also lay him on his tummy under supervision. Comfort him and cuddle him a as much as you can. Other mamas will come and contribute inugo.

Please o, my 3 months old finishes 125ml of thick millet and formula and he is still gets hungry after an hour. What to do? Folks keeps saying na boy na so dem dey chop. Should I be worried though?

I fed my 2 and half months old with pap cos breastmilk wasn't enuf and formula don't last more than 2 days.
Just watch his poo,gas,stomach and general body sign.

U can give guineacorn. It's a bit nutricious.
Add some formula and argument with breastmilk. As time goes on,u can add crayfish and then introduce solid.

I am presently in this situation. Any thoughts on millet?

Just thinking. You're 10weeks pp. If there is no unusual reason for the breast milk that has stopped flowing, can't something be done to restart the flow of the milk. Lactation cookies, teas, pap, fenugreek n others?

Why not give them a try. It wud save you a lot. 10 weeks is too young for anything other than milk.

We had problems with latching and I wasn't quick to get my breast milk flowing. My baby had jaundice and so they started feeding him formula from a bottle. Eventually when my milk came in, he couldn't latch and didn't have patience too. I expressed for a long while and even had enough to store but now he's appetite is such that I couldn't keep up. But now the pump doesnt draw milk much. And the baby won't suck to draw the milk either. So we are fully dependent on formula now.

My son is 10 weeks old. Breastmilk has long since stopped flowing so we are purely on formula. My challenge is that a tin lasts less than 3 days and his consumption seems to be increasing and he eats every one hour plus. This isn't pocket friendly plus the formula doesn't hold him for long . What can I do to supplement his food.. Is it okay to introduce pap right now?

I don't know who needs to hear this but as I looked at my 10 weeks old son with a full heart tonight and remembered the journey, I felt compelled to make this post.

My journey comprised of 2 fibroid surgeries, 2 miscarriages, 1 premature rupture of the membrane, one 3rd trimester still birth.

May God bless you with the emotional and spiritual strength you and your partner need to wait upon the Lord so that you don't give up close to your time. May the Lord provide you as he did for me with medical practitioners that are skilled and have empathy and genuinely care. It might seem like nothing but I tell you, it makes a huge difference.

May the Lord keep fear and doubt away from you. May you always remember that children are our heritage from God.

Please mamas now I have started flowing, not gushing yet but my baby had gotten used to the bottle nipple and now won't latch unto mine. He's so impatient. But he doesn't mind breast milk.

So my question is can I use electric pump for the whole duration of breastfeeding without needing him to suck from me?

Good evening mamas, please how do I make my breast milk come out. I put to bed yesterday via CS. Been putting baby to suckle but nothing yet. Took pap and pepper soup today. I don't want baby to get used to formula.

What else can I do please?
