the zietgeist "movement" is nice if you like running on the spot. cuz you aint going nowhere.

One is to agree there's a serious problem with the current system and second is to find a possible lasting solution.
we are basically ripping off ourselves or u could say the wealthy and powerful are ripping everyone off and it won't continue forever.the zeitgeist maynot be the perfect solution but it is a positive step foward.There's bound to be holes in the theory but ofcourse there has to be.A change that will affect every human and the environment,the way we live and do things is not something that has to be perfect from the outset or crammed into 3 dvds.It is an idea that has to be considered because the sooner we find a way to control and manage our resources the better else we may end up destroying ourselves battling for resources and struggling for power and dominance.For me,getting rid of money should be the start.Humans have to survive as one.What happens when china,Russia,India,Brazil and all other emerging economies eventually become as powerful as the U.S?who's going to dictate to whom and what happens when their interests clash? another world war or what?They destroy everything and start over for the greedy interests of a few ?The entire monetary based system will eventually crash one way or the other the question is when ?

Problem everywhere! Everyone's complaining about something.Wars and occupation,churches and rituals,politicians and greed,mainstream media and bullshit and so on, so what's the cause or effect? It dosen't take long to come to one conclusion,one word,one scheme , MONEY !

Long before i ever heard the name "Jacque Fresco" or "Peter Joseph",I've always nursed this idea of a money free world wondering what the world would be like without the current monetary system.Can humans continue to co-exist without the need for money and how?I would ponder this on the bed/couch only to wake up consciously the next morning back to normal day activities.I just knew there has to be a way to manage and exchange resourses without conflict of interests and ofcourse the need of money and how this resources is meant to really get to those who need them is another thing.I would often discuss this with friends and most laugh it off as a crazy idea but would be nice if well implemented.

Money seems to be the driving force of almost everything we do.Today in Nigeria and the rest of the world for that matter,if you're not speaking the money language,then you are speaking in tongues.It's no more about how innovative or educated ,it is about how powerful you are and how much money you have.Now,all we have is a bunch of corrupt boot camp solders dressed in civilian outfits running the economy from behind and fronting dummy presidents to press their wishes at the expense of millions of lives.People run to cast votes for dummy candidates that's already been decided.It is frustrating to hear this politicians repeating the same promises over and over at every election cycle only to come out with their pockets full and people wasting.
Politicians can quickly come up with billions of dollars to finance wars while there are millions of people still starving all around the world.It simply dosen't make sense except if they fighting for their own private interests.The whole system's garbage and must be re-invented hence the "The Zeitgeist Movement" and "Venus Project".For more check out this websites;

I'm happy at least to find out that the idea though premature at this stage is not crazy afterall.We need to find a lasting solution to human problems and if you think you're not part of the solution ,you're mistaken! The animation on the t-rex threw me off, the t-rex appears to be weightless.

Yea, i knew that was going to be the be challenging part and thanks for pointing that out.I'll post the animation preview(playblast) of the T-rex without the camera movement so you have a look at the entire sequence again without distraction.

Nice storytelling. But the basics, walkcycle, personality etc need more work. Again nice work.

I totally agree with you infact at one point,i felt like doing that walkcycle all over again but i was time constrained and didn't want to look back so point taken and kudos for that.

,  the main qualm i have is the t rex jump. the velocity curve is a tad bid too uniform. and there wasnt enough recoil on impact to exude a convincing impact. but overall i'd say its a nice piece. my best part was the pole hit. i see u didnt let your fume fx and dreamscape skill go to waste on this one . i use max 2010 too and dont seem to have any issues with the max rig on this end. yeah also nextime conform with the rules of the thread and supply w.i.p's as it unfolds and not just finished works. we are rying to learn from each other's successes and mistakes.

yes, like i said i'll post the t-rex animation preview (playblast) for more scrutiny as i thought the camera animation on that part was quite distracting.

as for supplying w.i.p's, i just wanted to get done with the whole thing before i posted anything hmmm it's a good thing to stick to the rules though but it could be distracting too when people point out mistakes in w.i.p's as it could add more time to the proj. and to an extent throw one off track.
So i was like,let me do all the mistakes once so people can point'em out later.

Yes this time no dreamscape,no FumeFx,no afterburn and NO CAT. The T-rex is Max Bones and ANIMATION is what we stressed.

whats taking so long guys? well here is my own take.Its clunky but its just a try i could do better if i spend more time to smooth out the keyframes but i don't wanna spend forever trying to make it perfect ending with nothing.the entire animation took less than 5 hours to blockout and a day to tweak.I rigged the T-rex way before the challenge.The T-rex animation was more fun for me because its my rig and i had issues with the low max rig for reasons i'm yet to figure out.Some of the controls didn't just work fine for me(max 2010 version) but i found workarounds and more tweaks to make it work.The rig is nice but don't know why some of the spinners won't work even though they're connected.

This is absolute nonsense!It is rather astonishing how a low life fraud like T.B Joshua capitalises on disasters to brainwash and create fear in ignorant people so their pockets could be emptied as usual in offerings and thanksgiving.It's more or less like "yahoo boys"setting up fake redcross disaster websites in the aftermath of any catastrophe.Like in my ealier post,we need more science classes/teachers and not churches/prophets so people can learn about "fault lines"and where they are.

Although Mrs. Abigail Nwajei, whose son, Nnamdi,attempted to murder by slicing off her throat two days to 2010, has left hospital, the scars of that near tragic experience may never leave her.

At 50, four of her front teeth are gone - knocked off with her son's hammer - and the scars of the attack, though healed, run rings round her neck.

"I took five pints of blood to stay alive", she told our correspondent at her Ajangbadi resident in Lagos last Tuesday, a claim confirmed by a doctor at Goodness Hospital in the same suburb. The doctor simply gave his name as Durotimi. "We had to call in a dentist to fix the aspect concerning her teeth", Durotimi added.

Nnamdi, 22, a 2006/2007 Accountancy graduate of Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomoso, Oyo State, had allegedly attempted to murder his mother with a hammer and a knife on December 30 last year, accusing her of being behind the misfortunes of her children.

After policemen attached to the Ilemba Hausa Division of the Lagos State Command had arrested him, he said while being paraded on January 5 this year that he approached his mother for, "a mother to son talk" following numerous revelations in a branch of [color=#990000]Mountain of Fire and Miracle church, Lagos, which he did not give its location. He said that the church revealed that his mother was responsible for his misfortune.

Personally i think it should, because as in the case of Naija,its doing more damage than good.The sooner we realise that the solution to our problems is not in churches and mosques but in innovation,science and technology,the better. In other words,If Nigeria had the same amount tech institutes and creative development centres as it has religious business centres(churches,mosques etc),people would live better lives.It's ridiculous that most of the things people pray for are things that man already has solution for.Think about it !

I just upgraded to max2010 and will check it out and see how it holds up.Thanks! for the info i must admit i didn't know until now.I use max 8 for most part even though i have max2009 installed.(only used for rendering cos it has vray installed).

ofcourse it's very necessary to be able to build a rig from scratch as u mentioned,as one may be stuck if in a situation where there is no CAT(or any plugin for that matter) on any of the systems you're about to work with or a situation where the production demands base rigs.However,depending on the workflow,cat allows you to animate quickly because of its animation layering system which isn't present or very clunky in max.As a matter of fact cat should be the new biped system 2.0 (my suggestion!).I actually got cat because of the animation layering and not the rigging per say but in all KNOWING HOW TO BUILD RIGS FROM SCRATCH IS VERY IMPORTANT ! NO DOUBT! TRUE TALK BRO!

cat does not do magic.you don't bring in your mesh and hit "RIG".it's either you adjust a preset rig to fit your mesh like max's biped or you create it from scratch using bones like i did.I DON'T KNOW ABOUT YOU BUT ONE CAN'T JUMP TO RIGGING A FACE WITHOUT KNOWING HOW TO RIG OTHER PARTS OF THE BODY THAT I CONSIDER EASIER.it's not like there are many facial animation lying around compared to other parts of the body.The question is speed and efficiency.If you're using max and want to do character animation or any type of animation for that matter,cat makes it easier.that's what i'm saying.sooner or later,EVERYONE USING MAX WILL START USING CAT anyways as autodesk scraps the traditional BIPED SYSTEM ! Now's the time to get it.I only use plugins when the outcome is faster and better than anything max has to offer.Like FumeFx ! CAT feels like it should have been part of MAXand it's in the talks.If the Animation looks better or setup multiple character rigs within hours? why not go with it ? My client dosen't care if i created the rig from heaven or if i used cat.The outcome is the deal!
