It doesn't work like that. He has not been found guilty yet so he will still be getting the salary United is contractually obligated to pay him. When the outcome is known they will decide whether to terminate (if found guilty) or whether they have the balls to withstand the public backlash and keep him (if found not guilty).

Anybody who refuses to move on has himself to blame and not the club. They can't just terminate people's contracts to make you comfortable.

1) He might be found guilty

2) If not guilty Man Utd might still wash their hands off him because of bad publicity.

3) If not guilty and United stays loyal to him what are his chances of making significant impact this season after a year out just sitting in his apartment probably eating chicken and chips.
