March 2022: FG is awaiting the delivery of 10 Mobile Transformers and 10 Mobile Substations, from Siemens, under the first phase of the Presidential Power Initiative.

Minister of Power and his Team visited Siemens in Berlin & Frankfurt, Germany for Inspections.

March 2022: Training was organised (on Power Systems Simulation, Network Studies & System Planning Skills) for Personnel who’ll implement PPI, drawn from TCN, Discos, NERC, NAPTIN, FGN Power Co.

Training by Siemens Power Technologies International (PTI).

Africa Finance Corporation (AFC) appointed in 2021 as Transaction Advisors for PPI implementation.

— 3rd Party consultants also appointed for Tax, Audit, Insurance, Security, Legal services, Environment, etc.

December 2021, the Federal Executive Council (FEC) approved the purchase of the mobile substations and transformers from Siemens (for an initial intervention). FG has made 15% down payment, and raised LC for the balance.

Delivery expected from Q3 2022.
