]Sir Jim Ratcliffe: “I think Ruben is an outstanding young manager. I really do. He's an excellent manager and I think he will be there [at Manchester United] for a long time.” |
![]() Sir Jim Ratcliffe: "Some [Manchester United Players] are not good enough, some are probably overpaid, but for us to mould the squad that we are fully responsible for, and accountable for, will take time.” click for the short clip click for the full BBC Podcast |
![]() Sir Jim Ratcliffe: “If you look at the players we are buying this summer, that we didn't buy, we're buying Antony, we're buying Casemiro, we're buying Onana, we're buying Hojlund, we're buying Sancho. These are all things from the past, whether we like it or not, we've inherited those things and have to sort that out.” |
![]() Sir Jim Ratcliffe: “There’s no money left in the club. And that is after my 300 million.” |
Sir Jim Ratcliffe: “It’s a journey and there’s a lot of decisions that we have to make over the course of that and we’re not going to get them all right. I don’t think in the future we’ll get them all right either because we’re not perfect.” |
Sir Jim Ratcliffe on keeping Erik ten Hag in the summer and Dan Ashworth departure: “I mean, the Erik thing is slightly mitigating. There was quite a lot of debate about that at time. It wasn’t just the FA Cup final. The fans were clearly of the view that we’d like to stick with him and all that sort of stuff. But yeah, they were both mistakes. I don’t think we can say much more than that.” |
Jim Ratcliffe: “I really, really like Ruben [Amorim]. He’s a very thoughtful guy. Every time I go to the training ground, I speak to Ruben. I sit down and have a cup of coffee with him and tell him where it’s going wrong, and he tells me to f**k off. I like him.” |
Sir Jim Ratcliffe on Ruben Amorim: “You have to give the guy a bit of a break. I mean, give me a hard time, I have no problem with that. But give Ruben a break. I think he’s a good guy, he’s working hard, and I think he’s doing a great job.” |
Sir Jim Ratcliffe: “Half the squad’s missing for Ruben. If you look at the top eight players in terms of salaries in Manchester United, 50 per cent of those are not available to Ruben. "You’ve got Mason Mount, you’ve got Luke Shaw, Marcus Rashford has gone, and Jadon Sancho (on loan at Chelsea). And he’s got a bunch of other injuries as you know, so I think he’s done a fantastic job.” |
Sir Jim Ratcliffe on Ruben Amorim: “I think he’s done a great job in the circumstances, frankly, with the squad that he’s had available. The fact he came in mid-season, everybody expects miracles overnight. It’s not the way, not real life in my view.” |
![]() .....these dudes are really comfortable with oriyomi points upandan?! Make una kuku go open a low-blocks industry at Carrington. LOL! |
"Sometimes in the low block, I know it's frustrating, but in the future we are not going to play like that, but in the moment we try to win games." Rúben Amorim |
![]() “It’s clear this club will never die. In the future we are not going to play like that [low block].” Ruben Amorim: |
Leyqute: ![]() ..........aswear! |
eph12: ![]() ......you don kuku sum it up, some fans no dey think. Make board kuku extend Casemiro and Eriksen deals, then rehire Moyes to lead us to promised land. LOL! |
eph12: ![]() ......and some fans are ok with it, thus Amorim must abandon his own philosophy for it. LOL! |
.......Onana should be the first to leave the club in the summer. Modafucker ís a big waste money. |
afrodoc2: ![]() ......we ain't gonna lose to Arsenal, I am very sure doc. |
afrodoc2: ![]() .......the season is gone already. Make dem work small for the wages till end of season then leave the club honorably. |
Leyqute: ![]() ......a dude quoted you above that the essence of hiring Amorim mid-season is bending dried fishes. LOL! Like dem be academy players hence must be taught how to do basics yet collecting huge wages week in week out. |
"I think some players are improving individually. Josh, I think is improving, in changing, a little bit, the position. "We are trying to find a better space for Bruno but sometimes you want him, yes, everywhere as he's really important for us. "Even against Ipswich, we suffered a goal and we continued to play the same way and I feel, in these small details, I feel that the team believes a little bit more. The rest, I think, it's hard to see things in this season. It's more here in Carrington, the way we are training, the intensity, and we are trying to find a way to improve the team." - Rúben Amorim |
"In terms of the results - it's bad. Also the performances are not improving a lot, to be honest, but the good thing is that we are learning a lot. "We are changing a lot of things but you cannot see it. Here in Carrington, the way we want to do things. I'm understanding the players and doing, in my head, what is the future of the squad. "And that can be really important next year, but there is also a risk, when you are planning and doing and thinking to the future, you have to pay attention to the present. And the present is really hard in the moment because the results and the performances are not there." - Rúben Amorim |
Santos07: ![]() ............Abi o. LMFAO! |
Englishisamust: ![]() ......ain't gonna blame Amorim yet, this season is gone for good. INEOS must support him in the summer at all cost. Massive clear out then get in replacements. If the kids of U21 and U18 gonna be the replacements, so be it - as far they are good enough to play Amorim's style and philosophy. |
patrickmuf: ![]() .......I really don't understand why some fans ain't seeing the realiity. You are seeing these Ediots week in week out yet you expect Amorim to turn things around this season?! LOL! |
eph12: ![]() .......United fans Club has the largest number of delusional beings all over the world. LOL! Same Club bought Mata, Di Maria, Cavani, Falcao, Pogba, Ibrahimovic, CR7, Casemiro, Varane as well as loaned Ighalo at some points, what's the results?! No philosophy, no style of play, just buy big-name retirees then expect miracles happening. LvG came and failed. Mou came and failed. OGS came and failed. RR called for open heart surgery of the Squad but was rather mocked and booted out unceremonously. TenHag got depleted to ZeroHag.......yet we still don't wanna do the needful?! We don't wanna rebuild the squad, just wanna be patching it up then keep playing Insha-Allah football. LOL! |
![]() ........70% of the squad are bunch of aaavvvvveeeerrraaage players. We are seeing what Sancho is doing at Chelsea yet mumu sees himself as Martin Luther King of Football. Rashford is warming eba at Aston Villa, yet some United fans believe they have world class players at the club....LMFAO! 90% of squad members can't dribble a cone successfully. They can't shield ball, hold off their opponent(s), show confidence on the ball, show resistance against pressing and so on, yet Fans are expecting miracles week in, week out. LOL! |
![]() .....Yamal is collecting €30k per week yet still happy at Barcelona but our own Mainoo wants €180 per week! LOL! Ain't gonna blame him though cos imagine Mount collecting €275k pw doing absolutely nothing. Eriksen collecting €295k pw simply for rotting on the bench and Casemiro taking home €250k pw as retirement package. These are senior players, ordinariily, Mainoo should learn from and apparently he is learning well. LOL! |
