Kog45: ![]() ........ I agree we should move on Sir. Thanks for the healthy Discourse. |
Kog45:Oxford and Cambridge Dictionaries define the word "FLOP" as completely unsuccessful, fail totally. Thus I'm very right to view it as a bad Word; to describe Oliseh Stints at Juventus and Dortmund respectively sir. Yes Musa was a big FLOP at Leicester and if Iheanacho situation doesn't change at Leicester he would be termed FLOP.If not for Victor Moses sudden rise at Chelsea, what do you think they would call him if he has left Chelsea two season ago.Ahmed Musa wasn't a FLOP at Leicester City Sir. He had 21 Caps with 2 Goals in his first Season, but lost out his Berth in the First Team due to tactical Reason this Season. The Player you called a big FLOP is playing Week in, Week out on Loan at CSKA Moscow in the same Season he lost his Position in the first Team at Leicester. You are a FLOP when you are given Chance(s) but steadily fluffing it. Iheanacho didn't fluff the Chances he's got so far, whereas Musa was given None, hence they can't be tagged as FLOPs. Smalling, Bakayoko are tagged as Flops despite being regular so far this Season, thus you can't justify a Player as a FLOP based on playing Time only Sir. My man Sunday Ogechuckwu Oliseh was a FLOP at Juventus and DortmundSir....... he was never a FLOP, not a LEGEND either at both Clubs. |
Kog45:Except you will agree with me that Iheanacho is a FLOP at Leicester City presently, Musa also was a FLOP at the same Club before he sought for a loan Move to CSKA Moscow, cos contending with established Players as a new Signing with limited Chances ain't a FLOP He was signed to compete with established Players like Zidane, Antonio Conte, Simone Perotta, Edgar David, but couldn't displace them because they are better than him - simple. At Dortmund,i think have analysed it in a very simple way,53 appearance in five season should tell you something and even loan to Bochum for playing time, what do you call such player?FLOP.Yes..... he had 53 Apps with Dortmund but are you intentionally writing off his 34 Apps on Loan with Bochum within the same 5 Seasons Sir?! I need to remind you that his 5th Season was inconclusive because he was released for a Disciplinary Reason. The below are the Breakdowns of his Apps with both Dortmund and Bochum. First Season at Dortmund (2000/2001) He played 22 Times (in his debut Season), bar Injury and Suspension he was a regular Starter - that wasn't FLOP. In his 2nd Season (2001/2002) Season that Dortmund won the Bundesliga and a Runner up in UEFA Cup, he had 18 Caps while fiercely competing with an emerging Talent - Tomas Rosicky. That's not FLOP either. In his 3rd Season (2002/03), he only played twice because He lost his starting Berth to Tomas Rosicky, thus he sought for a Loan to Bochum in January 2004 where he played 12 Times. Meaning; he only played half Season at Dortmund but eventually had 14 Apps in the Season. In his 4th Season (2003/2004), he was still with Bochum and was a regular in the first XI and played 22 Times. Meaning; he didn't spend all the 5 Years at Dortmund, 11/2 Years was spent on Loan. In his 5th Season (2004/05), he returned to Dortmund and had 11 Caps before he was sacked in March 12, 2004 for head butting teammate Vahid Hashemian while on loan at VfL Bochum allegedly over racial remarks. Sunday Oliseh had a good and solid career from 92 to 2000 but from 2000,it wasn't the same Oliseh again,so calling him a FLOP at Juventus and Dortmund does not belittle him as a good player.Sunday Oliseh wasn't a FLOP at Juventus and Dortmund if the whole Story and Stats were put into Consideration Sir. |
somehow: ![]() Lawd of Mercy! LMAO! |
somehow:Akpeyi is the most experienced among them. He's not a bad Keeper either, but needs to sort out his psychological Problem while representing Eagles. |
Kog45: ![]() .......... but before Oliseh signed for Juventus he was a Regular at Ajax where he won the Eredivisie and KNVB Cup Twice. He spent just two Seasons with Ajax, won 3 Titles and had 54 Caps, 8 Goals as a DM - fantastic Stats I say. Let me also remind you he was a Regular at FC Cologne - 54 Caps, 4 Goals as a DM. Guess you know he joined Ajax after his outstanding and consistent Performance with FC Cologne in two Seasons consecutively?! Did he flop at Juventus? No..... rather he had already established Players in the Team like Zinedine Zidane, Antonio Conte, Simone Perotta, Edgar David, Enzo Maresca to contend - for a Spot in the starting XI, I guess you and I know his Competitions ain't Rookies or average Players. He spent just a Season and leave for Dortmund because he didn't get enough Chances to prove himself not FLOP! He played 22 Times in his first Season (2000 - 2001) at Dortmund, bar Injury and Suspension he was a guaranteed Starter - that wasn't FLOP. In 2001/2002 Season that Dortmund won the Bundesliga and a Runner up in UEFA Cup, he had 18 Caps while fiercely competing with an emerging Talent - Tomas Rosicky. He lost his starting Berth to Tomas Rosicky in 2002/03, thus he sought for a Loan to Bochum in January of 2002/03 Season where he played 12 Times (Regular for the Team). He was still with Club for the following Season, 2003 - 2004 with a regular Spot in the starting XI and played 22 Times. He returned to Dortmund, had 11 Caps before he was sacked in March 2004 for head butting teammate Vahid Hashemian while on loan at VfL Bochum allegedly over racial remarks. He wasn't released by the Club because he FLOPPED but for a disciplinary Reason. In a nutshell, Oliseh Stats ain't average but controversial. The present Eagles are on the right Track, but they ain't on par or better than Eagles of 90s. We do not need to argue this, coz it's basically my personal Submission based on Stats and Figures. |
Mujtahida:I hope so too...... but the Final List gonna determine whether I will be hopeful or prayerful! |
Mujtahida: ![]() Akpeyi has the same Percentage of making the Final List as Alampasu and Ajiboye. Whoever among the Trio that eventually makes the List will definitely gonna be the 3rd Choice. But my Intuition pick Ajiboye as a possible 3rd Choice Keeper for the World Cup. |
Mujtahida:I'm 0% Certain he's gonna invite Dele. He has limited his Options to 5 Keepers, and he's gonna pick 3 out of the 5 to the World Cup. Based on my Perception, Uzoho and Ezenwa are definitely going to the World Cup bar Injury. Akpeyi, Alampasu and Ajiboye gonna have to battle it out for th last Spot. |
Mujtahida:I have no Issue with Uzoho, but I think he might crash under severe Pressure. I'm ain't saying Dele won't crash either, but his Experience is a big Bonus. He's playing regularly for his Club, he's good at saving PKs, and his Reflection ain't bad either. It's apparent Rohr would pick between the Five Keepers he mentioned at the BBC Interview, hence I won't mind Uzoho, Ezenwa and Alampasu making the Final Cut. |
Mujtahida: ![]() I'm on the same Page with Sir Icon4s. |
Mujtahida: ![]() Barrister...... I trust you won't let it slide without bringing another Player(s) on Board. Guess you ain't taking me as an Accused under cross-examination?! Amokachi joined Club Brugge at 18, a very top Team and a domineering Force in Belgium. He had 81 Caps and 35 Goals to his Name. He competed in the new format of the Champions League with the Club, and became the first player to score in the competition, after his goal secured a 1–0 win in the opening match in the group stage against CSKA Moscow. He won the Belgian Ebony Shoes Award twice, 1992, 1994 while at Club. He also won the Pro League most successful foreign Player Award in 1992 At 20. He joined Everton in 1994 and won the oldest Trophy in the World - FA Cup - in his first Season. His Exploits at Everton and for Nigeria earned him three 3rd Best Player in Africa Awards Consecutively - 1994, 1995, 1996. Besiktas has remained quite a Big Club in Turkey till the present Day. He joined the Club and had 77 Caps. Thus Amokachi also had fantastic Stats with Top Teams. |
kingphilip: ![]() The same Way Olympic 1996 boosted the Chances of our PLAYERS to get better Clubs in Europe. |
Mujtahida: ![]() I've clarified it enough with Kanu except you have Issues with the Facts I presented. 194 Caps in 5 Years at Arsenal ain't bad for a Player. |
kingphilip: ![]() Leicester of course, but I wasn't really objective though. Leicester is a mid-table Club sha. |
Mujtahida:Did he sign or play for a Top Team?! Yes he did. Could he have been a Regular at Inter, had he not suffered the Heart Problem? Yes. Did he leave Inter for a relegation battling or mid-table Club after the Recovery?! No. What Problem does Iheanacho have that's keeping him on the Bench at a Relegation battling Club?! What Injury did Musa sustain that got him relegated to the U23 Team and eventually loaned back to his previous Club?! Putting Agbim and Kanu in the same Sentence really belittled the Latter, coz he's a Legend for Nigeria, even at Arsenal he was also a Legend. Kanu spent 5 Years at Arsenal, played 194 Games in the Process, won Africa Footballer of the Year while at the Club, and was voted the 13th Gunners Greatest Player (arsenal.com 9/7/2008). |
Mujtahida: ![]() Kanu joined Ajax as a Teenager, 17 Years old, had 54 Caps with 25 Goals to his Name before he left the Club at the Age of 20. Ajax was a super Club at the Time, with quality Players in their Rank, hence you can't expect a Teenager signed from the Nigerian League to walk straight into the first XI. Kanu could have walked straightaway to the Inter first XI, coz he signed for the Club when he was in-form of his Life, and after leading the Dream Team I to Olympic Medal in Atlanta at the age of 20. However, Kanu underwent a medical examination at Inter, which revealed a serious heart defect; he underwent surgery in November 1996 to replace an aortic valve and did not return to his club until April 1997. He couldn't make it at Inter because of the Reason, yet he was snapped up by Arsenal, a big Club in England at 23. Nothing is mythical my Brother, except you don't wanna be more objective. Next........................ |
The U20 Handlers should have picked majority from the Pool of Academy Players and very few from the NPFL. You can't avoid age-cheating by picking from the League, except you are so sure of their real Ages. The List should be canceled and fresh one should be made in due Time. |
Mujtahida:Kanu - Ajax, Inter, Arsenal. Taribo - Inter, AC Milan, Auxerre. Okocha - Frankfurt, PSG, Fernabache. Amokachi - Besiktas, Everton. Amunike - Sporting CP, Barcelona. Ikpeba - Monaco, Dortmund. Babangida - Ajax Finidi - Ajax, Betis Babayaro - Anderlecht, Chelsea. Oruma - Marselle. Uche - Fernabache Olishe - Ajax, Juventus, Dortmund. ....... and so on. Are you satisfied or you still want more?! |
