Dude, everyone will be disappointed. But in the end we should finish top 4, go far in the UCL and an FA cup won't be bad. The only tough team remaining in the FA cup is Tottenham. It's apparent JM has given up on the League, but having Liverpool ahead us on the Log is far worse than losing the League Bro. Lol! Btw....... I wouldn't mind United signing Xerdan Shaqiri to fix the RW palaver. |

Leyqute: Definitely. Should be a match Palace will approach with the sole aim of reducing the number of goals they concede.
But this isn't 2007 and we're still 'rebuilding' with Mourinho. Guess Pep is also rebuilding with Man City?! Dude.... I will be disappointed with anything less down 3 Points. |

I'm kinda skeptical Players like Kroos, Bousquet, Veratti will sign for United in the Summer.
We need to be realistic with our Expectations, coz except for "LOVE" or "MONEY" none of the top Midfielders would like to play under JM again.
I think United can get Dybala, if we go for him, but has he ever been linked to United?! We need two Solid Midfielders and a RW. Also Perrera shouldn't be loaned out next Season, rather should be integrated in the Team or sold. |

"This season has been really difficult for him. Is he injured? No, he's not injured. Does he feel totally happy and totally ready and totally convinced that he's in [the] conditions to help the team in this moment? No.

“First of all, the gap is a very short gap - six points between the second and the fifth teams is really short and really open for everybody. But all four are in the Champions League still, so we have other focuses and targets all of us.
"I have to say all of us are very good teams - in spite of some times the way I read, it looks like all the others are better than us. But I'm not so sure that is the reality.
"I would say four very good teams and one will be out of the Champions League. If you ask me second or fourth, I say by the financial point of view it doesn't make a difference, by the prestige point of view, it doesn't make a difference - you go to the Champions League and even the fourth team doesn't have to even play a last qualification match.
"But, from the personal point of view, second is better than third and third is better than fourth. So, we are going to try the best possible finish. Of course, the top four is very difficult and, at the moment, that's the main target for us. But, if you can finish third, we are not going to finish fourth. If you can finish second, we are not going to finish third.”

I have never met them but I have to believe that the kid with his attitude towards the others and towards football, the parents must be really good people that pass to him the right values. The kid is keeping his feet on the ground and is very calm.
"I think he passed some important tests - not from the football point of view but more from the mental point of view, with his maturity, calm, playing against the champions and knockout football in the Champions League. Two tests by the mental approach. So, I think there is a long way to go, obviously, but his feet are very much on the ground, very stable and I just hope he can keep the same direction.”

My advice to him is to keep the way he is - very humble, very open to learn, intelligent and keep going in the same direction and the same profile, trying to fight to have minutes with Manchester United which is not easy.

Kog45: What an insightful comment.I never thought of this and to be candid you are not far from truth.
1.Peter Rufai was the first keeper to travel out for professional career, first with Dragon of Benin and moved to Lokeren in Belgium later Go ahead eagles in dutch league, fareinse in Portugal and Deportivo LA coruna in Spain.
2.Wilfred Agbonavbare moved from BCC lion of Gboko straight to Rayo Vallecano as number one and had a great time in la iga, remain the best Nigerian keeper in LA liga history followed by Peter Rufai who also had a stay with Deportivo LA coruna.
3.Alloy Agu moved from ACB if am right straight to starting eleven of MVV Maastricht in dutch league and had a great years before moving to Turkish league.
4.Ademola Bankole moved from shooting star to English championship club as number one and was damn good for his club, remain only local breed to move to England and command regular shirt as a keeper.
5.Ike Shorunmu moved from shooting star straight to swiss giant fc grasshopper as number one and was very solid for the club
6.Murphy Akanji the father of Dortmund and Switzerland CB Manuel Akanji moved from Julius Berger straight to Malta as number one and almost keep for Malta national team but already cap by Nigeria.
7.Willy Opara moved from Nigeria league straight to Orlando pirates as a starter for long before he quit the game.
8.Peterside Idah moved from Iwauyanwu nationals straight to south Africa league as number one
9.Greg Etafia moved from here and team up with marrowka swallo as number one before he quit the game now one of the technical member of the team.
10.Vincent Enyeama moved from Nigeria and command a regular shirt for his club in Isreal for so long before moving to French league also as number one.
11.Austin Ejide left Nigeria straight to Do sahel as number one and later to Bastia in French division two before moving to Isreal,in all these sojourn he was a regular now in Isreali second division.
12.Dele Aiyenugba moved from Enyimba and replaced Enyeama in his former club as number one for so long and still active as number one in Isreali league till dates.
13.Sunday Rotimi left plateau united straight to Isreali second division league as number one and came back home when the team got relegated meaning no space for thorough professional in division three. He came home spent a season and moved back and spent another three seasons before returning to NPFL and still remain solid.
14.Daniel Akpeyi moved from Nigeria league and straight as number one of chippa united in South Africa league, presently eagles keeper.
15.Dele Ajiboye from Nigeria to Spanish division three and command regular shirt until he moved back to Nigeria and sort his career out with shooting star,Nasarawa united and now with Plateau united, presently one of the five Rohr is considering, good decision for him to come back instead of wasting in division four league.
16.Ghanian international Edward Ansah was so solid with Leventis United for many years but went straight to claim Ghana number one keeper ahead of his Europe based counterparts, just to tell us talents abound in Nigeria league.
17.Fataou Dauda another Ghana international in Nigeria league and doing well with Enyimba.
Mike, truly Nigeria goalkeeping future is bleak with our keepers keeping for reserve teams and youth teams in Europe.
Presently Uzoho is number four cos Deportivo recently got another keeper on loan from Russia league instead of promoting the young lad to the main team.
Alampasu third keeper in Portuguese league after some years with the club not encouraging.
Well Maduka is still growing cos we don't know what future hold for him being a German which will definitely shape his future.
Honestly i don't think these guys are better than what we have at home but do we blame Rohr cos Alloy Agu failed to produce a solid keeper for the team if not how on earth will Super eagles be chasing goalkeepers who are under tutelage for Eagles number one. Bravo! It's really baffling we are celebrating Rookies on this Thread....... U18 Keeper, 3rd Choice GK and Team B first Choice as Nigerian best GKs for the World Cup?! LOL! We've been asked to deal with it, and we gonna deal with it. |

Mickael2: Future future future, the future of Goalkeepers is not written that way at all. Deportivo is still going out of their way to purchase goalkeepers showing lack of faith in their feeder team, so in 5years Uzoho's best position at Deportivo might still be a second choice or third choice, and presently no team wants him, is that the future? Or is it Alampasu? Personally these guys have gone through the academies abroad, I would have adviced them to come to Africa, look for a good team, maybe even a nigerian side frequently in the CCL and pitch their tent there. I mean Enyeama started from the local scene, Aiyenugba too. If we go through the history books we would see a lot of nigerian Gks who at one point or the other were first choice Gks for feeder teams all over Europe but how many of them got as far as Enyeama? Truth is bitter though! |

forgiveness: I don't know why people come here and start raising the bar whenever it suits them and quickly reduce the bar whenever it doesn't favour them.
The truth must be told. Alampasu is not in the same level with Maduka. EOD.
Em! But I don't mind Maduka Okoye gets invitation and eventually capped one day because he might come good in the future.
Na just the false assertions me no wan hear.
And for those crying, I don't care if Alampasu makes the team to the world Cup neither do I care if Maduka Okoye makes the list for the world cup. Uzoho, Alampasu and Maduka are certainly the future of the Super Eagles (Qatar 2022). They should be capped and getting Games after the Russia 2018. |

Alampasu and maduka those 2 keeper deserve to be out of the super eagles, expecially alampasu,Super eagles is a great team, gone are the days when inactive players will be considered for the national tram....With all due respect super eagles is not the ETHIOPIA national team,Alampasu and maduka will not go to world cup,you heard it here first. tbaba1234: I disagree.
Both keepers are rookies.. Alampasu has done nothing professionally. He is not at an age where he can be idle. Szczesny is an experienced keeper.
If it is about training with the first team, both players train with the first team regularly. Also Maduka has had competitive caps for the B team of Fortuna.
Alampasu only professional experience was in the division 3 in portugal which is not better than the level Maduka is playing in.
There is a reason why young keepers are loaned out or at least playing reserve football. They need the practise, they need the experience. Sir Tee...... Alampasu is no longer a Rookie, he's a Professional and an official 3rd GK for a Portuguese Primeira League Club. The 2nd GK of the same Club has not played even for a second in the League this Season, rather he's featuring in the Cup Games. Alampasu is the youngest amongst the Trio, he's 21 and still learning the Game. Thus being part of the first Team ain't Moinmoin and as well a huge Advantage for him over Maduka. He's training with Men, not Kids. Perhaps Ahmed Musa should have kept honing his Skills at the Leicester U21 Team instead of his loan Move to CSKA Moscow Sir?! Or Iheanacho should have asked for playing Opportunities at the U21 Team instead of warming the Bench?! There is no way you can compare Training Sessions of the U18 Team with the first Team Sir. Alampasu is professionally getting drilled, while Maduka is academically getting drilled. |

I really enjoy the Discourse between Tbaba1234 and Forgiveness, but in fairness Forgiveness had good Points than Tbaba1234. Point 1; In few Matches ain't the same with a Match. Maduka only featured in a non-competitive Game, hence that ain't a solid Point to rate him over Alampasu presently. Sir Tee can bring on more facts of Maduka's presence with the First Team to convince us. Point 2; training with the first Team regularly indicates you are a Professional, while frequenting with the U18 (Academy) Team simply means you are still a Rookie. Point 3; experience-wise Alampasu has more Exposure vis a vis Maduka. He has been on Loan, played at a FIFA Tournament, recognized as the best Keeper in an age-grade Tourney. Point 4; GK dept ain't like other Depts on the Pitch. The first Choice GK of the Argies is a Bench Warmer at United. He only plays once in a while in the Cup Games. Buffon, at his Age, is still keeping Szczesny on the Bench, hence Alampasu's Situation is professionally understandable. Finally; both Keepers - Alampasu and Maduka - can't be the first Choice for the Eagles at the Mundial, second Choice is even a Doubt, so what the Fuss?! Truth be told, Alampasu ain't mate with Maduka at the moment. Is he inactive at his Club? No...... coz he's training (getting drilled) with the first Team regularly. |
