Una mumu goat disrespected my Club and you expect him to win world cup.... LOL!

He thought he's going to world cup to win it, hence released that stupid, ill thought clip to shame himself.

I was lost to ever believe he is better than Messi. I find my zeal right from the day I open my eyes to reality.

Messi has been turbanned as the greatest of this Era. Ronaldo should go and win world cup before we can consider him in any GOAT debate ever again!

these local players you are advocating for will struggle to get a bench role in their clubs. We’ve seen NPFL best of the best go to some other African countries to play and struggle badly but you want us to fill our NT with them, you clearly don’t rate the super eagles

Now l agree with you when a player is scraping the bottom of the pot in some anonymous back water league and is just making up the numbers in his club.

Let me respond to your mention for once. You're known for just noisemaking on this board. Anything local is irrelevant, useless to you. Stop wasting your time on my views, coz I care less about yours too.

Maybe you should go read your first post again. I never implied any of the players are world class. How many players in the Morocco current squad can be tagged as world class yet they made the top four. Now let me ask you, WHO ARE THE WORLD CLASS PLAYERS IN THE LOCAL LEAGUE THAT YOU THINK ARE GOOD FOR THE NATIONAL TEAM?
You want us to fill the national team for players in the NPFL, a league where lower clubs sell their slot to relegated bigger clubs.
Your idea may work in the next 6 years or so but currently, it will be a disaster.
grin

Emotions sha. Can we just calm down and engage maturely?! The Keepers you listed, are they better than Sochima of Rivers United, Bankole of Remo Stars, Lawal of Sunshine, Adewale of Akwa United?

You make good points but the elephant in the room is that once the local players show real quality, they are snapped up and become foreign players. What then happens?
.... let them be snapped bro. It will help to improve our league. It will make the league more competitive and gaining more money to finance the clubs.

Oasis makes some interesting points. He may seem extreme and might be misunderstood as one saying, "To heal with the Foreign based!" But I don't think that's his entire point.

I am actually open to this idea as long we can make it work and truly pick the best locals that can be tactically synced with the best foreign-based across various team positions.

I agree with you on the right mentality needed. The Hunger and the Passion to play for the flag and nor the name on your back. But the right mentality must also come with good enough quality from technical and tactical viewpoints. If we have locals who can provide these, then there is nothing wrong at all.

We still have diamonds in the local scene for sure. We just have to get our league structure half-right and the rest will follow.

I believe if we are open to picking our squad based on the right mix of mentality, quality and tactical sync across the various roles in the Senior National team then Las Las, we would have the best of the very best locals creeping in and providing options in certain roles even though I know the bulk of the team will be dominated by the foreign-based.

In the end, our goal is to pick the best in terms of Technical quality, Mentality and their tactical values for the team.

But we gotta get our league in order firstly... even if half-rightly.

Oasis is actually making some sense.
No one on this board promotes foreign players more than him, yet he reads and understands my points clearly without letting emotions cloud his sense of reasoning.

Firstly, when you state an opinion, you need to stand by it and present your facts to back it up. Victimizing yourself by saying you were trolled or attacked is the reason why you shouldn't attempt to argue in the first place.

So because the current players have not achieved anything, we should now turn to the home based. Saying they should be attending training twice a month doesn't make sense to me. You want us to bank on players that already set their mind on leaving the country. Does that sound like a feasible plan to you? Moreso, NPFL and CAF competitions will be ongoing. How do you want the NFF to fix this training in-between those competitions.

You mentioned Endrick right? Can you compare the league he is currently playing in to NPFL?

Bro...your suggestion is respected but it has a lot of loophole.
The main thing now is to find the root of our NT problems and find suitable solutions. Lack of players is not our problem.... Coaching and leadership is.
grin

Calm down bruh. I can't be trolled coz this is Oasis. I decided not to engaging anyone on this matter, because I know where the Argument would end.

Can you help with list of so called foreign based players? Let's start from there please.

Oasis.007 do kindly offer a response. But mostob, it can equally be argued that the current SE have not achieved anything worthwhile
Arguing here is a waste of time. Most are here to troll, rather than engaging in a sane discourse. No matter what you say, they would rather attack you and your points.

They are asking me what we have achieved with local players like we are achieving great results with foreign based players.

Someone asked what our local clubs achieve at continental level? LOL! What are same average foreign players we are parading achieve at their respective clubs?

.... like most so called foreign based players are not warming bench ar their respective clubs, despite that the Clubs are midtable or struggling to survive relegation.

Our U17, U20 and co are always assembled locally, yet they do wow the world and compete outstandingly against those highly rated Academy Players of foreign Countries.

They're are leaving my major point to debating what's in their mind. I clearly said; they must be attending trainings at least twice in a month until a formidable squad is assembled.

Let even compared last friendlies both squad had - foreign based Eagles and local based Eagles. Which one did we enjoy the most? Which of them played something we can actually call good football?!

Our fixation with anything foreign is part of our economic problem in the Country. Importation, Importation.... like local things are cursed.

A 16yrs old Endrick plying his trade in a local league was bought for €70m by Real Madrid. I watched his Clip and felt like, some of our local players can do more than that.

We have lost hopes on anything local, but that doesn't mean our local players are not as good as those foreign based bunch of mediocre players.

Because we so overrate them on this board, do not mean they are indeed world class players.... world players that are playing in unknown leagues or with clubs battling relegation?
Sports › Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Oasis007(m): 7:30am On Dec 18, 2022
Let me repeat it again, over reliance on players plying their trades in foreign countries is killing Super Eagles.

Most of them are average and not better than the local players. We may not appreciate local players anymore because we are not following the league.

It's easier to build a formidable team with local players than foreign based players. Assemble them, get them trained together at least twice in a Month. Drop the weak ones until the right players with right mentality make up the squad.

Add few determined foreign based players and watch them light up the continent. Last time I enjoyed watching our games has lost in my memory.

We keep hailing them, calling them all sorts of great names to what end? Serving us breakfast?!
