It has all gone silent on the Dangote Fertilizer front. It was suppoped to list Q4 2025 but it seems Alhaji is now prioritizing the refinery. I am more upbeat about the Fertilizer biusiness as it is less limley to be impacted by geopolitics.

FACT. If this government loses the next election I would reconsider my continued participation in NGX.

nosa2:
I don't think this government losing the election will be a bullish event. The one thing this government has done right is its economic policies. The policies may be brutal for the masses but they are necessary.

P.S Lets try and not start a politics fight

LOL. Its one of the 3 biggest indigenous oil companies na, with a 11k barrell/day refinery capacity(now 30k I think). Also, a major player in the gas sector. Bought over ND Western, which makes them majority stakeholders of the RENASSAINCE group- basically, they are the Shell Petroleum Development Company Nigeria of today!

nosa2:
What do you guys see in Aradel?

LOL.

With just 3 transactions, and I bet these are internal tradings. NGX should do something about this stock. Perpetually unavailable.

I am not a fan of the man but I can bet he never said this.

ogawisdom:
Though this one may be from proceeds of corruption.

But as an investor, when will you be able to make this kind of statement based on your passive cash flow.

That will be the real soft life not really meaningless luxury possessions when you are still not financially independent.

Are you sure?

The Palestinians have Canaanite DNA oh!.

awesomeJ:
Your analysis would have made sense if this fight was between the Israelis and those people who occupied the land before them

The fact that the Palestinians also once lived there is not the basis. The basis and justification is that the Israelis lived there long before any Palestinians and so they have a right to reclaim the land as long as they never sold it to the Palestinians or gave it to them based on any treaty.

In this case, they were forced out due to oppressive power, now that they themselves have oppressive power of their own, they can justifiably reclaim the land by the same oppressive token

You guys just amuse me. You think if we excavate Onitsha back 3,000 years, you think its people that look and talk like the current occupants that used to live there? How do you think Onitsha people will feel if some people arrived claiming their ancestors once lived in Onitsha millenials back and hence they have the right to the land?

mikeapollo:
I have explained the alibi behind the name ''West Bank''. Go back and read it if you want to learn.
I know you would be happy indeed if someone decides to call Onitsha by a new name of ''East Bank''(of river Niger) and decides to remove all the history, antecedents, archaeology, artefacts, landmarks, records and trace of Igbo people's culture from that place so that another tribe can take it and appropriate it as theirs.
You ask yourself if there are no local, traditional name for the town and places there in different from the new English name of ''East Bank''

Why cant the NGX just delist Airtel Africa? Its geting ridiculous. How can the shares not be available to buy for months?
Investment › Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Oasisblue: 11:52am On Apr 07
The market is bearish. I suspect Donald Trump's illegal war in the Middle East is contributing. I am sceptical to invest in the NGX these days as we will be impacted if the world heads to a global recession, which may be imminent.

Iran is not going to give up anything. Whatever Iran is doing is motivated by the ideology that they are doing it for 'god'. If you are going into a war with them. go all in and get the job done and not just some media propaganda. Recession is around the corner.
They actually shouldnt give anything up. The injustice and lopsidedness of the world is sickening. If the attackers could let them invade and take the stockpile. It will be at a huge human and economic toll. This is the reason previosu POTUS had shied away from this senseless adventure.

Why not just take the company private since all they'd o is buy their own illiquid shares?
They should just delist from the NGX and become private.

The Philistines distinct culture disappeared after Babylonian and later Persian conquests. The Romans renamed the area Palestina after crushing the Jewish revolt in 135 CE. Please note that Palestinians are not descendants of the Philistines.
Palestinians are NOT Philistines. Palestinaian are actually Canaanites.. surprised?

Iran should watch how it attacks fellow Arab nations so it does not lose their support and sympathy because that would be a big mistake.
We hope the possible rise in fuel price would not cascade down to affect our pump price in Nigeria too?
Fellow Arabs, how? Iranians are not Arabs.

mikeapollo:
Would you people stop these nauseating lies? Who is ''occupying'' where?
Does Jerusalem, Hebron, Beersheba, Shiloh, Bethlehem etc. belong to Arabs? Do you know the history of the place you claim to be under ''military occupation''?
Would you say the people of Plateau and Benue who have now fled their ancestral land and gone into exile because of attacks and killings by bandits and terrorists should forget about their ancestral land forever and they no longer have the right to return to where their ancestors had lived for more than 3,000 years before the crises started? When these victims recover in the future, build a strong army and they come back to reclaim their ancestral land, then you start shouting ''military occupation''
What kind of thinking is this?
Once again another dumb take. So, people who are indigenous to a land, whose fathers, grandfathers and great, great grandfathers have lived in a place deserve to be kicked out because some people claimed 3000 years ago they had an ancestry linked to the land and their evidence was a religious text. You think if we excavate your village in Nigeria back to 3000 years it is possible like you that lived there? Imagine people knocking your doors and takign over your homes with support of powerful countries.

The people of Gaza voted for Hamas, knowing fully well that Hamas planned to attack Israel. They are not innocent.

Votes have consequences.
Your victim-blaming is very stupid and insensitive. When did this election you talked about take place? Over 18 years ago. Is that what you areusing to judge their annihilation that took place recently? If you are subjected to the humiliation of military occupation and the indignity of being kept in an open-air prison with the IDF on one side and armed HAMAS on the left, what would your choices be?
