donjazzet: But it's true. Very few people move to the middle East for permanent residency. They're there for temporal construction and financial services or temporal tourism.
I mean, will you and your babe go to a country where both of you kissing in public can put you in jail? Nooo.
As I said, the only thing generating money for these countries is oil which they're spending on huge infrastructure projects but in a post oil world, they would seek to attract immigrants to fill crucial positions in their economy to become a service economy. One which they will find hard to get if they don't liberalise their values and social policies.
Cc ibime. ....do some diggings bro. I don't know much about Abu Dhabi but Dubai? LOL! Downtown, Palm Jumeirah, JBR, Marina Towers and Buildings are occupied by who? |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by OasisX: 8:07pm On Sep 10, 2023 |
donjazzet: Very lofty goals. One which is only doable if they can do one thing which is being open and stop being a repressive society.
Right now, a large percentage of tourists in Dubai are just there to either earn money and leave or spend vacation money and leave. Hardly anyone will think of going to the middle East to reside permanently.
What makes the west absolutely great today is it's diversity. It is open to all, from every society. So they're able to easily fill their labour requirements for their economy.
You can't be a prosperous society of they're no opportunities for women and you're treating women like second class citizens, that already rules out half of your workforce.
Right now, these things are padded beneath the stupendous wealth of oil but in a post oil world, if the middle East to thrive as a modern world, its values must evolve which means that it's repressive aspects of Islamism must be done away with. They must accept gay and trans people, they must free their women and give them equal rights and they must embrace liberalisation. If not, they will sink post oil world because they wouldn't be able to attract people who would come and spend money there. LOL! |

Super Eagles don finish farming. Congrats to Osimhen for the hattrick. He is now 2nd highest goals scorer of all time for the Eagles.
Can he beat late Rashidi Yekini's record of 37 Goals? Well, he is on 20 goals now, 17 more goals to go and he is still young. |

DissTroy: Godswill Akpabio as Akwa Ibom Governor paid Julius Berger to maintain the stadium. It's a 10-year contract. 2014 to 2024.
It's also the choice stadium CAF prefers for the CAF Champions League.
Always maintained and lit daily whether games are scheduled to be play in it or not. You should see the exterior - I dare add that it's better than the interior. ....Current Governor should kindly renew the contract for another 10yrs. |
