While I agree that Atiku presents the biggest threat, the embolden was true for the last election cycle, not for this cycle, in my opinion.

Also, this is the most active I have seen Atiku post-elections in Nigeria. In the past, he would have returned to Dubai but he has remained in Nigeria and has been heavily involved in consultations in the core North.

Asiwaju's current strategy with the alignment of Middle Belt and Southern Governors/ Politician in the opposition looks more intentional than just defeating Atiku. This looks like Asiwaju is trying to revamp the equation to winning the Presidential elections. The historical/ current equation keeps primary influence on the North but his strategy is looking to change that.

This feels like a longer termed plan than just his reelection.

Like I also mentioned, Obi/LP's chief canvasser during the last elections and is currently still fronting the Obidient Movement in the state got a luxury car gift recently and has already been co-opted by the State Governor.

If you are raising your children in Nigeria, it's not a flex that they can't speak your native tongue. I had family members who didn't teach their kids Yoruba and now it's not like their kids are any better than those who spoke Yoruba as first language from birth

How can you aspire to govern a Yoruba state and can't speak the language fluently? PDP will definitely lose the state in 2027.

I went to a private primary school, yet I can speak Yoruba well as we weren't restricted to English at home.

Though we are still at loggerheads about sending the kids back home for their secondary education, my wife is not against speaking Yoruba to them as she has started learning fast too.
