Olowunl01: Hahaha oga I can google oo, I no be illiterate ooo mesef be chartered somtin somtin like Tinubu.
Hahaha chairman no be you I ask wetin Tinubu version of restructuring mean? wey u vex? Doesnt allide to the fact that restructuring means different stuff to different people. My preffered restructuring - return to regional goverment 6 regions, going by the article provided by Oasis.X seems Tinubu version is more fiscal.
Jez in case you need more evidence, see the attached. I honestly hope we can get Obi Manifesto too.
Olowunl01: Thanks for providing this; I honestly appreciate your effort, however given our recent experience with Buhari APC denial of stuff in the actual manifesto and other party promises made howbeit from the mouth others during electioneering was why I had asked for Video for posterity.. Moreoso newpapers are known to quote or sensationalise stuff to sell. It's Okk if there isn't a video yet, time still dey.
LOL..... download BAT 80 pages Manifesto, that's where the Newspaper culled it from.
[font=serif]Listen to Pastor Adefarati on different between Idealism and Realism.
Reality vs Idealism
While one is a process the other one is a reality and what Nigeria needs now is a real POLITICIAN with CAPACITY and STRUCTURE pic.twitter.com/E46Jjx7mmb
larride: You are wasting your time. You think he cant find this information just by simple googling it?
Most of these people dont even know what restructuring is, ask them what restructuring means and see the kind of shallow they will give you.
I read TrebleChamp post on Tinubu dominance and dictatorship ish..... I fúckin laugh so hard, tears in my eyes nearly filled up a drum.
Dude even said PMB allowed Saraki to have his ways, yet blaming everything on PMB. I understand his grievance against BAT sha, its personal coz according to him, BAT denied his potential moneybag, an opportunity to hold elective position.
Olowunl01: Abeg can you share a video of Tinubu promising or stating for posterity sake, cos Buhari APC denied any knowledge of it.
The APC presidential candidate noted that too much powers and resources have been lodged at the federal level since the inception of this country hence he plans to review the sharing formula.
He stated that the existing arrangement has been problematic because “state governments are closer to the people and must be more responsive to local needs and aspirations.”
Tinubu said, “his administration will embark on a review of the federation revenue allocation system to recalibrate the division of funds amongst the three tiers of Government: Federal, State and Local.
"More funds should be allocated to the States and Local Governments so that they can better address local concerns and fulfil their expanded constitutional obligations to the people,” he said.
Tinubu also disclosed that his government will work with the National Assembly to review the existing exclusive legislative list and give more responsibilities to states and local governments.
According to Tinubu, the focus areas of his government will include, crime prevention, prisons, stamp duties and certain forms of taxation.
The APC presidential candidate said the actions will “promote stronger governance at the state and local level, thus reducing political congestion and competition for resources at the federal level. The performance of federal, state and local governments shall improve while the people will benefit by having more political democracy and economic development more closely at hand.”
Ellexy: Won't you believe in something before doing it. I'm telling you they don't believe in it and you're saying if.....
By the way LG is not Tinubu's legacy. It's in the constitution of Nigeria.
.... I see! No wonder LGs are enjoying Autonomy across the Country. Aside from Kaduna, mention just a state in Nigeria where LGs are enjoying financial and political Autonomy.
Ellexy: OasisX I see you firmly believe restructuring is the way forward. Do you also know the candidates you're supporting don't believe in restructuring or regional government... I mean your VP candidate was on video saying "to hell with restructuring"
What's your take on that?
Really? If anyone amongst top 4 Contestants gonna restructure Nigeria for real, its definitely gonna be Tinubu.
He's gonna have his Structures (Loyalists) at NASS and NGF to effect it. The only State where Local Government is functioning is Lagos, that's one of legacies of Tinubu.
Same Tinubu also helps Lagos House of Assembly and Judiciary to achieve financial Autonomy. He's a man with steel balls and will to effecting positive changes.
Android17: He will go back to his brothers but this time he has the bigger fish to fry so they'll comply. Peter Obi is PDP through and through and they have the structure he needs. Or else he will be like Azikiwe - a ceremonial president. You cannot make significant changes without the NASS as they collectively have veto power against the president. The few things he will be able to do will be by executive orders and who can he force to implement them? Law enforcement? The military? They won't fear him because he cannot make substantive appointments without that same NASS endorsing it.
Even the fact that NNPC can deduct what they like before making remittances is crazy but guess what? You need that same NASS to change the law concerning how deductibles from crude oil sales are collected. Will they do it? No way because NNPC pays them hefty bribes to keep the status quo. That is the vicious cycle we are talking about.
Emaprince: I dont even think we need to be deceiving ourselves. This piece you wrote is a very bitter TRUTH!!
Wike collected 103b Naira and he has been commissioning projects in the last one month.
Okowa collected 110b Naira, yet he has commissioned nothing. We focus too much on federal Government instead of making our respective Governors accountable for their failures.
Udom collected the highest, and has some projects to show for it, plus Airplanes. Diri? Collect your money, wake up vibes.... LOL!
PMB issued Executive Order 10 for Local Government Autonomy, these same Governors go to Court to challenge it, but we are much more interested in the Presidency.
Regional Government or Nothing...... that's only possible Solution we should be seeking now.
A001: I have said a number of times that only if a strong-willed politician can create regional governments, that's when the country will move forward.
That's the real solution but I don't see that happening any time soon with the many greedy politicians we've currently.
You don't take time to read some of my posts and some of your posts to see the ridiculousness of your takes on some issues.
nihilistjnr: He has a tendency to do that because he doesn't take his time to read with an open mind. Which is why his posts are often a very odd mix of brillant intelligence and profound stupidity.
The mofo is talking about my solution without even understanding what I was talking about in the first place. Someone said APC supporters have to be brain dead, and I responded discussing how Nigeria forces people to be selfish voters.
I have dissed Tinubu severally on this thread and even said im leaning towards Obi, but the werey said I'm an APC supporter.
I'm actually tired of dude.
..... he's an intelligent dude - no doubt, but he needs to always calm down, read possibly all missed pages before joining the conversation.
Donjazet2: That means nothing! It just means that amongst fools (economically speaking), we are the better fools.
And for our population this is not the flex you think it is. If a family of10 People have 10 million to share amongst themselves and a family of 50 People have 11 million to share, which family is the richest?
LMFAO...... when it comes to Nigeria, it means nothing.
According to IMF, Nigeria is ranked 31st best economy in the world ahead of UAE, Malaysia, Singapore, Hong-Kong, Finland, New Zealand and so on, guess it means something now?!
.... and for the highlighed part, who has higher population between Nigeria and India?
Don't worry, they are living better life than the Emiratis, Qataris and other Arab Nationals. In fact Arabs are migrating to India for jobs and not vice versa.
By the way, what are the positions of Arab Nations? LOL
Donjazet2: I don't know what you're talking about. Look at this table here. India is the world's 5th biggest economy in the world.
Again, number 5 in the entire world. All their economic index far surpassess ours. These are people that experienced this tremendous growth in just 2 decades. Trying to use personal anecdotes to show that Nigeria is better than India is a logical fallacy.
India is better than Nigeria in every single metric used to measure growth.
Nigeria is Africa largest Economy [GDP] at the moment, yes or no?!
Prove me wrong nah. I work with Indians, I have many of them in my Team from Punjab, Kerala and co. Even Mumbai and New Delhi have Slums.
I am talking from experience not just trying to score cheap points on NL. I listen and learn a lot from them about their Country, same as Pakistanis and Filipinos.
Donjazet2: All I see is someone delighting in listing problems without solutions.
Multiculturalism is not the only problem with Nigeria, corruption is too, bad leadership is too. Look around you, is it Hausas that made oyetola to steal billions of Ondo state money? Is it yorubas that made ikpeazu or timpire sylva to squander their states money? Tell me how multiculturalism made these particular governors to steal and underperform in the same country you have makinde, Obi and zulum? There are countries who have had worse than us but still turned around their problems.
China is multicultural and still turned themselves around to become successful, same thing with India, the biggest democracy which is also multicultural.
This argument of blaming our amalgamation 100 years ago as the number 1 problem doesn't sell. Mind you, I'm not saying, multiculturalism isn't a problem, it is. But we can still succeed IN SPITE of this. Biggest example of this? INDIA. From being poverty capital of the world to being a top 10 richest country.
..... LMFAO!
If I tell you Nigerians are enjoying Life better than Indians, I know you won't believe it. Trust me, everything ain't about what you read online or see in news.
This is same thing Folks like you were saying on Twitter, rating Ghana far above Nigeria. Guess what? They are singing new song these days.
WhoDeyHause: Atiku that has been contesting for election even before my first baby allowed me to cross the red sea and will still contest if he loses this election alongside okowa with that his long teeth like suarez that is always collecting money with almost nothing to show for it is who somebody stealing soup that google cooked is expecting to benefit from? See how almost nobody is promoting them here even though most are tired of APC. I'm sure if somebody tries to push his campaign with the stubbornness of dDonjazet and oasis they too alongside rraumdeuter and ttatafo will get angry, settle their differences and collaborate to deal with that person. If they win I will just sell my remaining properties and look for a way to run to Ivory coast or gambia. Afterall Japa is Japa.
WhoDeyHause: They say Big thief featuring bigger thief should not rule us and you are saying if the corruption favours you no wahala? How are you sure you will see any tangible crumb by the time they eat everything with the ones remaining inside coolers too?
