Terrible idea.

Nigeria faces no immediate threat of external aggression unlike South Korea that has a history of aggression against it by regional players like North Korea and Japan.

We don’t need to draft everybody in because that does not help us in any way apart from wasting already scarce resources.
Yeah.... I agree with you its terrible Idea, so can you suggest a viable solution?

It's not even up to 2 hours you were shining teeth and agreeing with Izzou right on this board how all the candidates including Tinubu are all the same and can't deliver on anything, they can't be trusted bla bla but now you're suddenly supporting him for his track records.

Deep down you know the truth, no amount of emoji can change that.

Also stop projecting, I don't take leadership to be a joke, I believe no one here does, maybe those who are outside Nigeria and is not feeling the pains of the masses in this develish administration.
grin

Can you help with Receipt?

By the way, do you wanna know why I am shinning Teeth always? Coz I am doing well offline.

Ain't taking online banter serious as many of you are doing.

Lol Oasis.X knows very well his candidate can't be trusted, ain't competent and won't deliver on his mandate. Infact he knows Emilokan is a fraud that's why you always see him gladly join anyone trying to say the same thing about other candidates.

Oga don't deceive yourself, we don't see Obi as a criminal, neither do we his supporters see him as incompetent and lacking in capacity mentally, physically, ethically and otherwise.

The case of the woman who slept on her child killing the child in the process comes to mind. Left to her, her neighbor's child must also be killed. This is wickedness shaa.
grin

Truth is; many of you assumed Leadership is a joke, and its simply about making promises.

I was actively involved in politics while in School and during my service year. I vied for positions and won on merits and track records, not just about promises.... it may sound funny though.

I led and successfully managed a Team to deliver a project at Dubai Expo2020 Site. I was assigned to handle the responsibility based on my track records at work.

So, if we are talking Leadership, to some extent, I have experience. I am not supporting BAT cos he is from my tribe rather based on his administrative track records.

Chikena.

It is on this board i heard that debates don't matter.

But i think everybody here is educated enough to know when someone is trying to give you Lamba. The woman selling pepper may be swayed by promises, but i expect educated people to see through the bullshiiit

Nigeria is broke. Yet everybody's manifesto os talking about how they will create this and that, increase this and that, etc.

BAT said he will add 50,000 to the army. How will you pay them, equip them and fund them? Just multiply the basic salary for a soldier by 50,000 and 12 months. This is excluding allowances, and other resources and weapons needed.

The others have their own promises that when you look atvit critically, it isnt feasible. But then, i am not God.

grin

.... of course, everyone here knows the truth but we will rather let sentiment and emotion becloud our sense of reasoning.

Nigeria is definitely broke, but how do you think this problem can be solved?

By removing subsidy?

By increasing tax?

By selling Government Assets?

Consumption to Production ish na Zobo.... ain't gonna buy it.

For you to train anybody, you need funds

Funds to procure equipments
Funds to establish facilties
Funds to hire the appropriate personnel
Funds, Funds, Funds....

Where will Nigeria get it?

That is why i said both BAT, Obi and Atiku have no HOW to solve anything. They are just telling you what you want to hear.

The CBN just said the excess crude oil savings that was 3 billion in 2014, is ABSOLUTE ZERO today. But no, our saviour is coming in 2023.

I was happy when they asked Kwankwaso how he would employ 1 million personnel into the military. He said he will make WAEC free.

SK have the funds to train anybody. Nigeria does not.
You're 100% right with the highlighted part. I've said it here many times, we are simply gambling and hoping we pick the right choice.

Let's put aside the Candidates and dissect our major Problems in Nigeria, cause, effect and solution. Who knows maybe they do view this thread for Information.

We can help by contributing positively on this Board too.

The government found a way to reduce the gap in the teaching force, by telling corpers to go there. It may not be the best option, but it has some form of effectiveness. It is absolutely better than nothing.

A corper has a tertiary form of education, so it is assumed that he can handle the primary and secondary. Yes he may not be qualified, but the necessary knowledge can be transferred. The government didn't train you in the uni, but they can use your service in one year for some stipends.

can't compare it with insecurity. Nobody was trained to kill in the uni or poly. So the government would have to spend resources training a corper to handle armour (and he will leave in one year oh). Isn't it better to use that same resource to training someone for life?
grin

In some Countries like South Korea, its mandatory for every able young men and ladies above 18yrs [I guess] to undergo military training.

Is it gonna be bad to replicate same policy in Nigeria?

Okay, let them not post corpers to schools again. Let us wait till when they recruit the qualified teachers.

This option is okay baa?

In my opinion, you have a point, but you are fighting a solution, instead of a problem.

The government cannot recruit the required number of teachers, so they ask corpers to fill that gap. How is this an abomination?

I think i don't really understand you
Izzou.... I get your point, I clearly do. But if you won't misconstrue me as defending PMB, don't you think we need numbers in the Military and Police to tackle Insecurity too?

When you started asking if anybody in Anambra can confirm, it started to look like an agenda. How is this news in Nigeria that corpers still teach in schools?

Corpers are not trained to teach, but it is still a better option than leaving the class empty. Or is your solution that corpers shouldn't teach at all?

Go back to that school in Oyo, and there are still corpers there teaching even till tomorrow.

Government should recruit teachers and stop relying on Corp Members. Perhaps Corp Members should be enlisted in the Army and Police to fight insecurity too?!

What is wrong is wrong. We can't get it right if we keep defending malpractices. If we wanna be truthful with ourselves, you and I know its wrong, so what are we trying to justify here?

If it's happening in other states too, it's wrong!

Agenda you say? When I clearly said the highlighted?! My posts on this Board get patterns. If I wanna troll, catch cruise or start an agenda, I'm gonna start with an emoji.

In the absence of an emoji, it means I'm being serious with the post. Honestly it's tiring we can't discuss fairly and objectively on this board again. It's becoming a politics section thread gradually and this is exactly what we aim to avoid with this thread.

Apart from like 6 states in the country, including the FCT, 90% of corpers end up as teachers in their PPA.

You can go and fact check. You think this is an issue of Anambra?

90% of corpers in like 29 states of Nigeria end up in classrooms. You can verify if you want.

I served in Kebbi state, Koko/Besse LGA and all, (I mean ALL) the corpers posted there ended up in schools. One guy that studied education was an assistant to the Principal and a teacher too.

Its you that want to make it an agenda, using people's experiences. I have experiences too, and if i write them here, you'll shake your head.

Once again, stop looking at it from agenda point of view, I guess we should rather stick to politicking on this Board?

Every post ain't agenda driven, and I didn't share it for any fuckin agenda. If its happening across Nigeria then there is fire on the Mountain.

Where I served, we were just two Corp Members in the whole school....and that was 2013 in Oyo State.

Corp Members are not trained to teach, they can't give what they don't have. They are expected to complement, not taking over from trained, professional Teachers.

Let's set aside politics for once and discuss reality. Its boring and tiring that we are looking at every discourse from agenda point of view.

Maybe i should go and type my own comment, so you can screenshot it and use it as your evidence.

62.5% of Anambra's teaching workforce is made up of corpers. You have just told us that the teaching force has been complemented with 62.5%.

So, is your issue now that Ayodele Ajayi taught the whole school, while all the indigenous teachers were peeling egusi?
grin

...... so it's an agenda to you? LMFAO! Well, I get it, everything has become BAT vs Obi, Lagos vs Anambra on this Board.

80% of Corp Members ain't trained to teach, most of them even do not have basic knowledge of teaching practices.

If you're relying majorly on Corp Members to teach core subjects, then you're in for a long ride. How many Corp Members can prepare Lessons Note?

There are many schools that have just one Biology Teacher. Yes, just one.

I attended a Federal school...With a large population, and i can remember us having 2 teachers for physics.

I am not defending incompetency, but the reason corpers are 62.5% is because they supplement the teaching force. So while the school itself may have just one staff for Biology, there might be 3 to 4 corpers under him teaching Biology.

I served in the North, and i taught Mathematics in SS1, another corper in SS2 and so on.

Like i said, what is the issue here, when you have already told us 62.5% has complemented the remaining teaching workforce?
