....at least they have found Oil in the North too, hence this is best time to take a decision on the Amalgamation.

I know it'll be so difficult to divide the Country, but let's be practising Confederalism/regional government.

But my reply has nothing to do with my hope nor Peter Obi fixing Nigeria.

I'm rather surprised at your assertion about living experiences in Nigeria being cheaper and better vs abroad where you are. So make we no japa again?

How is this reply a response to the point he's making?
For someone who's quickest to parrot Obidense your response to things can be shocking.

.... coz there is no essence of debating further on it. I know where its gonna end, and better to avoid unnecessary jabs and shalayes.

If we are being honest, whether buhari likes it or not that subsidy will be removed officially or not because from what is being said, FG has reduced the amount of money they pay.

Right now fuel is selling for 250-300 in most stations.
There's already talk that the lowest fuel will sell is 400 if subsidy is removed.. We are already on 300 in some places and it's not Xmas period yet.

Personally alot of Nigerians should just prepare their minds that by next year, fuel will go up to like 300 in almost every station and Buhari will still claim that subsidy is being paid. grin grin

Inflation would bite harder!! Are you sure all Nigerians are ready?!

This is where clowns tend to falter.

NNPC is not remitting to CBN - why? They are using the dollars to subsidise Nigerian fuel.

There is Corruption in Subsidy. Marketers are stealing money. Are you prepared to pay full price for Petrol if the government ends Subsidy?

It was only last year that I bought petrol at £2 a litre...at today's exchange rates that's about N1900 a litre. In USA the price hit $8 a gallon.

Right now the price of petrol here is £1.50 a litre. That's like N1300 per litre. They are talking about cost Energy crisis - my monthly Electricity bill is £500 per month as standard cos I live in a big house and it's all electric - winter cold has pushed my Electric bill alone into £700 territory.

This is what unsubsidised energy looks like.

No Nigerian Government would last a week if they ever exposed Nigerians to these kind of prices. Which is why successive PDP and APC Government's have run away from it, and accepted the corruption around Subsidy as the price to pay for staying in power.

It's not by shouting about corruption. It's a very small group rotating power between themselves and they know Nigeria is essentially unfixable, which is why the only logical thing for them to do is to at least cash out.
.... until most of them experience life outside Nigeria, they won't understand and keep on dreaming, fantasizing impossibility.

Let him keep wailing Abroadians don't want good for Nigeria and Nigerians.... he's Jon Snow.

A piece of Tomato is 1dhr at Grocery where I am living, that is equivalent to 200 naira [black market rate].

In the past 8yrs

Oil prices plunged around 2016 that put all oil dependent economy into a recession

Covid came in 2020 and plunged most economy in the entire world into a recession

A few google search will show this.

Which of these would have been prevented if Atiku, Obi, Jonathan or Obama was president of Nigeria

I think I am more worried about the fact that a body like INEC admitted something like what I posted as a "Certified True Copy".

My Brother, Nigeria is on life support. Corruption has eaten so deep across all Sectors beyond redemption.

Put Prophet Muhammad (SAW) and Jesus Christ (AS) on same Ticket, with Otem as possible Senate President, even if they win, they can't fix the Country in 16 years.

nihilistjnr:
To be fair, I remember when people were saying they would vote for Buhari if he presented Nepa bill as his school certificate.

I don't think you understand how Nigeria works if you think APC as a party is what is wrong with Nigeria. What does a party even mean in Nigeria?

Atiku has run for presidency on both PDP and APC. Obi was an APGA governor that ran for president under PDP, anf was in PDP up until the week of their presidential primary. Kwankwaso has been elected as Governor under PDP, and a senator under APC, and is now running for presidency with ANPP

Ortom can be elected as Governor under APC and finish in PDP. Obaseki will do first term APC second term PDP. Dino Melaye the spokesman of the PDP presidential campaign has decamped from PDP to APC and back to PDP.

Party means nothing when it's the same people walking from party to party.

So the real question you need to ask yourself is what(or who) people are voting for when they say they are voting Tinubu come hell or high water - They are being a lot more logical in their choice than you think, perhaps even more logical than you are, because these people understand the true nature of Nigerian politics, and are voting for what favours them first, Nigeria be damned.

My advice to you is to think of yourself first and foremost when picking a candidate, cos I promise you none of the men running for president are thinking about you - Not Tinubu, Not Atiku, and definitely Not Obi.

Look what a whole INEC admitted as a Certified True Copy in a Governorship election. Who do us this thing Tori Olorun!

I mean what can anyone make out of this copy? Where is the original of this copy? Is this how it is on the original? Why are vital biographic and academic information blurry on this copy?

We have a serious problem in Nigeria. Once again, a lack of strong institution in Nigeria is a huge problem.

All the Obidients here stand on their own and don't have a leader to be honest. Don't conflate noise making with leadership quality.

We were all here when most of the Obidients refused to be emotionally manipulated into donating their hard earned funds directly into Doyin Okupe's pocket, so it's clear that his opinions are not even respected by the real obidients.

I personally think its an insult to the obidients of the thread to suggest they are led by donjazet. Not only is he bereft of any conviction, like you point out, he actually wished Obi dead during his tenure.
grin

In TrebleChamp words; those are God fearing Obidients. He's certainly not a Leader of that Sect.

The problem really is not Tinubu. We know he is old, a drug lord, a state accredited thief, an identity smuggler and a brain farted druggie.

The real problems are those supporting him.

They are the most stupid clowns in the history of man made elections.

I'd rather eat my PVC than stand under the sun or rain to cast a vote for such an irresponsible personality to become president.

Look at this generational Dimwìt. If genuinely you believe Obi is more competent to lead Nigeria than BAT, then your foolishness is definitely 360° (Complete).

Is it not same Obi your Leader here wished dead in a plane crash because he couldn't bare his failure anymore after 7yrs and 6 months in power as Governor of Anambra State?
