Politics / Killing People To Avoid Embarrassing Jonathan Is Becoming A Tradition by obalola: 11:10pm On Feb 15, 2011
http://saharareporters.com/article/killing-people-avoid-embarrassing-jonathan-becoming-tradition
By Ibraheem Dooba

Remember Thisday newspaper reported that people refused to hear Goodluck Jonathan give his speech and immediately walked out of the campaign venue in Kaduna after party flags were presented to PDP governors?

That’s what would have happened in Portharcourt but the mobile police attached to the president wouldn’t allow that.

Thus, immediately Amaechi was presented with the flag and they see people leaving, the mobile police attached to the president closed the big gate of the stadium. The crowd surged forward, a woman fell, more people fell and our brainy police men stationed by the gate started shooting (apparently to scare people away from the gate).

That’s not all.

When Jonathan was booed and heckled in Nasarawa State the police killed two babies (six years each) to appease Mr. President. “Here Mr. P, we killed two children for you – a boy and a girl no less - are you happy?”
Dayyabu Usman was shot in the head and Fatima Nasir in her chest. Another boy, Hamza Ibrahim, who was bit older, was also killed with them. Dayyabu Usman’s brother said the six-year old boy was on an errand for the family when our dear mindless police put a bullet in his brain.

By the way, do the Nigerian police know something called a rubber bullet? I don’t even see them with batons any longer. Are they beyond using batons?

Politics / Re: Funsho Williams, PDP Lagos State Governor-to-be, Killed! by obalola: 10:22am On Jul 28, 2006
The number One suspect is Chief Seye Ogunlewe, the former Works Minister, the man has shown that he is ruthless and wicked. He was instrumental to the with-helding of LAgos LG fund for years, just because of his political difference with Asiwaju Bola Tinubu.
He set-up FERMA Traffic arm to cause disturbance and harrassment to Lagosian just because they did not return him to the Senate.
His boys have always been terrorising all his political opponents.
The Police should beam their search light on him
Politics / Re: Oyo State Governor Ladoja Impeached At Last by obalola: 9:17pm On Jan 18, 2006
@ Bibi, thugs? don't forget that Ladoja was eating Amala with Star Lager at Molete before he became governor
Politics / Re: Oyo State Governor Ladoja Impeached At Last by obalola: 5:48pm On Jan 18, 2006
demmy:

Its disgusting to read people compare Adegoke Adelabu with some old thug like Lamidi Adedibu. Adelabu was not a thug. He was not a trouble maker. He was erudite, articulate and very very educated with vision. Please stop comparing rotten orange with diamond.

Late Adelabu is was brilliant and educated, but he used styles similar to Pa Adedibu's in building grassroot support and network, that is what people compare. The way Late Adelabu entertained, ate and dined with his people is how Adedibu does too.

A visit to his palace at Molete will confirm this. He eats from the same plate, on the same table and the same OKA (amala) that every other person eat.
That is the leadership his people like and understand. Adelakun did same, so to some extend you can compare.
Politics / Re: Oyo State Governor Ladoja Impeached At Last by obalola: 5:28am On Jan 18, 2006
Pa Adedibu is educated and well read, though not at a conventional school, but under the feet of Baba Awolowo (a Lawyer, Economist and Sage), copied the style of Adelabu Penkelemesi (a lawyer and philosopher), studies Adelakun Eruobodo (Grade 2 Teacher and Charistmatic Leader), worked for Richard Akinjide (Lawyer of 12 2/3 fame) and promoted S.M Yaradua (Millitary Strategist and SDP Aspirant).
He is also a trained and professional Fashion Designer cum Tailor (though never practiced)
He has been in the system since Pre-Independence with Action Group (Awolowo's party) switched to NPN (Shagari) during 2 republic and SDP during 3rd republic. The old man has seen all and knows all about South West Polity.

EXPERIENCE IS THE BEST TEACHER

Local Politicans proudly attached "Molete trained" to their name now in Ibadan.

Akolawole:

I will be dissapointed if Egbon Sarafa take up the position. He has been Ladoja's boy since 1990. A very very close ally of the former governor.
Barrister Sarafa Ali was born in Oke-Aremo( barely 100m from where yours truly was born), he is a product of University of Ibadan and a former Ibadan north local government chairman. Ironically his ONLY major achievement in office is a very good road construction to his family house in Oke-aremo.
God save Nigeria.

boy ke, you don't know what is call ambition.
He was among those giving Ladoja wrong advice before ladoja's removal, maybe he was still bitter about his demotion from SSG to chief of staff.

I think what you call his only major achievement was his ONE and ONLY achievement.

May God save Oyo State
Politics / Re: Oyo State Governor Ladoja Impeached At Last by obalola: 1:40pm On Jan 17, 2006
For those without a means of moving around, it is trekking galore in Ibadan as the NURTW boys are off the street, in "solidarity" with workers and Ladoja who is also on strike with the workers.

For goodness ake with strike resolve the crisis.

I hereby call on Akala and Pa Adedibu to invite these striking guys to a round table of "amala" talks.

@ Icon
If Ladoja didn't divert government money into his account, he would have won more sympathy from the masses and Gani could have rose to defend him.
Obj is a man one uses "long spoon" to eat with.

I will not hold brief for Pa Adedibu, but in the interview, he said it is from the security vote he will want ladoja to be settling him. (not Oyo State allocation) really that is what the security vote is for, settling the troublemakers, maintaining peace and security. abi no be so?
Politics / Re: Oyo State Governor Ladoja Impeached At Last by obalola: 4:20pm On Jan 16, 2006
Ladoja didn't showup and wouldn't show up.
Someone that was sluggish and slow when he had power cann't be smart and witty when he is powerless.

There is not problem in Ibadan not even the hot spot areas (Gate, Molete, Bere).

New SSG and Chief of staff have been appointed.

There are reports that LAdoja's Chief of Staff Sarafadeen Alli is among those scheming to be the next deputy governor.
can you belief that, so ladoja's civillian Aide cap has been dining with his enemies before. God have mercy shocked
Politics / Re: Oyo State Governor Ladoja Impeached At Last by obalola: 10:13am On Jan 15, 2006
@ Akolawole
Yes Ibadan is peaceful, but in some part of the town, the peace is like that of a graveyard (Beere, Gate) with rumour that the Agbekoyas are ready for action (on whose side?), the NURTW road union loyal to Tawa Abubakar are ready to defend the "mandate" of Ladoja

My prayer is PEACE and desire that Akala performs
Politics / Re: Oyo State Governor Ladoja Impeached At Last by obalola: 11:44pm On Jan 14, 2006
Hi nairalanders,
It is quite funny that Ladoja doesn't have any grassroot support, there are sympatises here and dere for him (as part of yoruba culture).
Going round the city, the whole place is tensed with police in almost every street corners.
I just pray Ladoja will not act like a clown by resuming at his former office on monday.

Come to think of it, if Ladoja is re-installed as governor, do u think there will be peace in the state? me think it is better he forgo his "throne" and let the state move forward.

Power is said to be arrogant and influence corruptible, that is what qualifies Ladoja and Adedibu
Politics / Re: Oyo State Governor Ladoja Impeached At Last by obalola: 1:29pm On Jan 14, 2006
Hi nairalanders!

It is quite funny that Alh Ladoja can be removed so easily with no opposition from anybody.
I think he is a paper weight politician, a girly man and without survival strategy, who surrounded himself with synchophants that gave him false hope that nothing can "shake" him.

I believe he should be handed over to EFCC for trial because of the corrupt activities he got himself involved in or why did Gani turned down ladoja's request for defence?

What made it so easy for adedibu to remove ladoja is ladoja's lackof support among the common man on the street, the elites in the state and the Oba. He destroyed TIB (common man beared the brunt), he awarded contracts to his concubines and family (elite and contractors are jobless) and he removed Alaafin from his chairmanship of the state traditional council and made him a district head of the baales in just 4 local goverment in Oyo town!

Above all, PDP didnot win the last guber election in Oyo State, Lam defeated him, even with all the intimidation and violence that rock the state during the election....

Power is for service and development.... Let all beware
