You will leave the area where you will be feeding them at least where you can put their feeding trough

My Box type snail housing

Snail farming is very easy to do with little capital to start and run.
Snails feed on different kinds of food that you can get for free such as water melon, sweet potato, banana, pawpaw, vegetables. Infact they like chicken feeds

Baroba:
Best breed, the largest known to man, Archachatina Marginata ( the big boy of snails) a fully grown AM can weigh as much as 500grams, you can find them in areas with rain forest..They only lay 8 to 15 clutches three times a year, one of the disadvantages...The western Marginata ( from Benin up to Yoruba land) Marginata is bigger than the ones you find in the East or south south. These breeds are highly sorted after by restaurants and individuals, they are the best for commercial breeding.. If volume is your interest, then go for the Archachatina Archachatina; doesn't get as big as AM but can lay up to 200 eggs a year..

Start with 100 and then grow, it could be daunting for a first timer if you go in big, forget what you hear, snail farming needs care and attention just like any livestock; adhering to the basics with good management should yield good results..

The set up: there different system of cages and pens; hutch boxes, concrete pens, I have even seen one constructed out of a bath tub; anything you can secure with mesh and mosquito nets can be used as a pen, let your imagination run wild.

Restaurants, joints, hoteliers and of course individuals are your likely buyers, but you have to do your research.. If you can export to the East or UK you will make a killing, Igbos love snails ( aka Congo meat) but we don't have enough or the ones here are tiny. Most of the breeders I know buy from Lagos, Ogun, Benin and co..

Take advantage of the training this guy is offering, it always comes in handy, but be aware it's not a get rich quick scheme, our slow friends need time and patience.. With everything I mentioned put in place, one can make decent money in snail farming.. I have a good pdf on snail farming I got from agrodoc, I can share it with you free. But I still advice you to go for training.. Checkout Kester Amos YouTube page he is an animal scientist, he seems to know what he is saying.. Snail farming, just like Grasscutter remains a niche area in livestock farming, and a lot of research and study is still needed in rearing them in captivity.. Kindly show us your farm with 7500 snails then we will know you are serious.
For your information I have not seen one AM or AA that lay more than 12eggs at once.
You can prove me wrong.
It will be nice for you to just tell people the real truth instead of deceiving people they will have 7500snails and make 3million in one year

Sincerely Atiku needs to become the president or someone close to him.
My reason is to see how intels can come alive and well. Onne port has become a ghost land now with great facilities there. Intels alone can sustain the whole of nigerdelta region.

The cheapest and effective feeder I got inspiration to install for my bird is shown.
I used electric trunking to make their feeder as they are waisting their food inside the tray.

Today 30th birds are doing fine.
I observed all the medication prescribed on this forum

This is the best knowledge forum ever. After all the info gathered so far I decided to proceed on my journey of poultry start up with broiler as a starting point.
I planned starting with 100birds but I reduced it to 50 for training.
I made the pen myself and now my birds arrived 22nd of September they are 9 days today.

Please can anyone advice on what to do with this kind of problem on my snails.
The stuff is not allowing them to grow up again. Please if you have experienced this before what did you do or what do you think I can do.

The effect of the feed is their retarded growth since that feed contains some salt which is negleible as far as death is concern but you can neutralize it by adding some quantity of garri instead of beans and if you can get limestone as a source of calcium. That's what I am feeding mine.
Also feed them that like twice a week while you feed them other things like watermelon and vegetables.
Do you also know they like sweetpotatoe and pawpaw leave introduce it as their meal too they will like it.

most of these things we bring up here are not just mere talk but things that we are practicing and experiencing. some of us might not be doing this for business thing but for the fun of it and in the process we learn good things and we contribute what we have to the forum.
If someone told you he will get 50000 from 2000 its possible depending on how he planned to do it and species he is keeping. so you cant come up and say something is not possible when you have not even try it. i am taking time to write this because i am into the deal seriously and I am loving it sincerely so if I tell you something you should believe.
Back to the eggs, one of the snails dug a hole and laid 80 eggs inside while the other one laid 68 in another hole in the soil in different time. the eggs were not scattered around the pen.

Its true they lay plenty eggs, My snails laid 80eggs and another 68 eggs in a batch but I dont know which one of them because I have both maginata and fulica but dyoungforester said its the fulica that lay so much like that but the funny part of is that the eggs is too tiny compare to what i had the last time which was 7eggs.
Can I tell you also that the eggs hatched less than two weeks. The number of eggs is dependent on the specie of snail you are keeping.

Farm tech you can't just say something is not right when you've not seen it. I am telling you what I experience here. You can confirm from dyoungforester I bought 50 pieces of snail from him and I am telling you that the one I hatched 5weeks ago is near the size of some of those I bought from him. I was told those eggs are from Benin snails which are the largest.

@omo17 i agree with you 100%, I bought some snails from market as I dont have bush in my area where I can pick and for three months now I didnt see any serious changes and to buttress your point, I collected some big sizes eggs from the girl selling the snails and prepared them for hatching , luckily 4 of 10 hatched and I am telling you the snails are just 5 weeks old now and their size is already nearing those ones I bought over 3 months ago I`ve resulted in consuming my old ones gradually and looking for eggs to start my own big size snails farm.
