Too bad but the man is not the one going for the interview why is it hard for you to verify everything before going for the interview.
I find it somehow hard to believe because if you work with a big firm the payment of the conference will be done with Accounting section not HRM.

I don’t have a full transcript cos she’s rather upset but it went something like:

My brother is doing his PhD in ***** at the university of *****, hence the contact address on the application. They legally got married on September *, 2017. I am on the bridal train and she has written me a letter of invitation together with the invitation card for the wedding.
VO: What do you do for a living?
Her: I am an investment analyst working for *****.
VO: Have you ever traveled outside Nigeria?
Her: No I haven’t
VO: How long have you worked for *****?
Her: Since Feb 2015, and I’ve gained a lot of valuable experience from the transactions I’ve worked on.
VO: Are you married?
Her: No I’m single, but I have a brother and his own wife and children, and a father, in Nigeria...
VO: (interrupts) Do you have any family in the US?
Her: My brother is my only direct relative in the US, but since he is now legally married to *****, she too is my relative.
VO: (types away at the computer for a long while)
VO: I’m sorry you do not qualify for this application in line with US immigration laws.

This is very disappointing. I’m really gutted about how so many people have tricked and cheated the system over the years, and continue to do so, that now genuine and honest people keep getting falsely flagged.

I applied for B1/B2 visa this month with hubby and kid and was denied, see transcript below and advise.

Me and hubby: Good morning
VO(African/american Female VO in Window 7):passports please
VO: where are you visiting
Hubby:Orlando
VO: will you be having any children in the US?
Me: Chuckles..No, my baby is less than a year
VO: Have you travelled out of the country before ?
Me and Hubby: Yes to UAE for our honeymoon
Me: yes to UAE for work trip
VO: What's the trip about?
Me: Training on so and so
VO: How long have you worked in your company?
Me: 5 years now
VO: what of you sir?
Hubby: 4 years
VO: where do you work
Hubby: Bleep plc
VO keeps typing all along and finally she said unfortunately you do not qualify at this time, you may reapply anytime.
where did we miss it? hubby earns about 300k and I earn abt 500k.
The VO rejected about 4 people before us, how soon can we reapply again pls.

HI everyone...

first of all this is my first time on Nairaland and i have gained alot already (Asante Nairaland)
I have cataracts in my two eye balls and i want to use that as an opportunity to get America Medical visa and Visiting
I have tried talking to some doctors i met online about getting letters from them and what are the requirements and cost but to no avail

i am willing to apply for B2 visa and i need a letter from a Doctor in us and also would love to know the cost on duration is any of you know about it should please help me with the information

There's plenty evidence even though no VO will bother with proving if you truly travel to Indian or not..
Evidence of travel is easy to get by going to the airline website by putting your booking code or PNR, the website will generate your travel itinerary sharp sharp.

I have a police report stating the loss of the passport alone.Doesnt state the visas in the passports.

I used that for the reissue

There are available dates in December but for Abuja.
Take a photocopy of your Intl passport data page to gtb and make your payment. Ensure to collect the original mrv receipt.

Do you want to know the truth? The agent has not paid your visa fees and has not also open an appointment page for you reason for no clash of information.

Please let us all kick against the use of an agent, let us give this information the widest spread do not use agent for ur visa processing

my case is similar to urs and i am not yet off from the agents trap, i don't just no how to get out from his trap rite now

The problem right now is this...
You won't be able to access your appointment page/profile but to get rid of the agent I will advice you to call the embassy and explain the situation to them and you will need to provide a new email address.... All this shouldn't be more than 3-4 days.

Let us ASSUME your agent PAID, BOOKED appointment and fill DS form WITHOUT submission.
Also, let us ASSUME you have RE-PAID another visa fee and you want to use it to start afresh. There is no cause for alarm IF you encouter (only when u want to book appointment) CLASH OF INFORMATION, you av no option than to contact embassy by email (support-nigeria@ustraveldocs.com). I can assure you, they would sort it out (though prepare a cogent reason for your case because most Nigerian applicants are seen as fraudsters).

Well then, if you wish to go ahead with a new payment, do so. Create a new account and fill in your details including your passport number, names et al.
If an error occur when trying to update your profile such as "This passport number is associated with another profile", put a call to the US Embassy lagos or abuja and they would assist you with moving your details into the new profile.

(1) Ignore d first application form and start afresh
(2) I don't believe the agent has paid your visa fee. Otherwise, he/she would have easily handed the payment confirmation to you. What the agent handed to you could be done without payment of visa fee. Therefore, prepare to pay another visa fee.
(3) Yes. It is possible to book appointment without submission of application form.
Lastly, pls be careful with agents. Many of them are out there to dupe innocent applicants.

1. Yes, you can fill another ds-160 form and edit the one in your appointment profile (You also need a login details for your appointment profile).
2. You need the GTB Receipt printout as its one of the documents required for your interview. You could pay a new visa fee but there would be a clash of profile details as your passport number has already been used to create this current profile.
3. Yes, an appointment can be scheduled before the ds-160 form is submitted.

Please note: The security questions the agent might have used in the ds-160 form has no negative effect to your application, rather its an answer he/she could easily remember.
