There's no proof of Putin saying so, all these propaganda are gotten from Telegram or X pages without any form of authenticity.

In war you plan give your enemy blow that shake them not just to piss them off like japan did in pearl harbor, pearl harbor was even strategic though it was a wrong move not Ukraine. If I am Putin I will definitely do something that will put the fear of god in him.
Seriously dude, The pearl harbour attack was just to "shake" the US?? 😅🤣😂😂, Remember both nations were still in a state of peaceful relations when the attack happened.

Pearl harbor was the US only means of power projection in Asia, the backbone of US naval power in the region, It was very Strategic mate, the Japanese knew if they could cripple pearl harbor and take out the USN carriers, the US won't ne able to intervene in Asia, thus making her handicapped in the region, same also applies to the Russian military bases housing its heavy bombers, take out those planes and it cripples Russia ability to conduct long range cruise missiles attacks into Ukraine.

An "unprovoked attack" on US military bases housing US forces and there civilians families, a base which was the home port of US valuable aircrafts carriers, Close to two thousand five hundred Americans died in the attack which according to you was meant to "shake" them and not piss them off.

Well, the Americans were well "shaken" that the very next morning Potus Roosevelt asked congress to declare war on Japan which they did within an hour and bringing the United States into WW2.

Did you see Russia deliberately attacking Ukrainia's nuclear power plant?
During the start of the war Russia attack a nuclear plant in Ukraine the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant, how did Russia a foreign power become the occupiers of the plant if they didn't attack it, go and read about the Zaporizhzhia plant seige by Russian forces. The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) had to raise alarms about the hostile takeover.

Since you like talking about international laws, please which law did the Ukrainians break by striking Russia's strategic bombers?? I will like to know mate.

Those bombers have dual purposes, they can carry conventional payloads, those bombers are Russia's go to platform for cruise missiles attacks in Ukraine, these are the bombers which have rain hell in Ukraine, The Ukrainian strikes are well under the scope as regards the laws of engagement.

If your argument is that they shouldn't be targeted because they are part of Russia strategic bombers used for enforcement of nuclear deterrence then that is laughable.
Foreign AffairsRe: Russia-Ukraine War: World News, Weapons & Battlefield Discussions - Live by Obedience40: 4:22pm On Jun 05, 2025
All this our emotional Russian folks, the Ukrainian strikes really touch there nerve, lol. There's no international law that makes the targeting of nuclear capable aircrafts prohibitive.

Russia strategic bombers are used in Ukraine, and its fair game for the Ukrainians, nothing the Ukrainians did was against international law as regards rules of engagement.

The B-52 Stratofortress, a nuclear capable bomber and the backbone of US air tier of nuclear deterrence during the "cold war" was shut many times and sabotaged on the ground by vitcong forces in Vietnam, yet heaven did not fall.

Take your loss folks and move on, those bombers are scrap metal.

the Soviet supported Vietnam to attack US forces in Vietnam not on US soil, the US supported the Mujahideen to attack Soviet in Afghanistan and not on Soviet soil. This is an attack on Russian soil , on their nuclear deterrence capabilities for that matter.

Every one knows there will be disproportionate response from Russia but we don't know when,on which terget and in where around the world
Military Theatre mate, Military Theatre, the war is being fought in the Ukrainian- Russian border, and you don't want cross-border attacks??

Those Russian bombers have been used by Russia to bomb Ukraine. Hence, they are very legitimate targets for the Ukrainians.

Stop wailing mate, As far as Russia responds goes dude, The best will be a large scale bombing of keiv nothing more, nothing less.

P.s. The weapons used by the Ukrainians in the attacks were not western made weapons.

In Syria Russian Wagner mercenaries attacked an SDF base that had some 40 America Special Forces. You might want to lookup Battle of Khasham (February 7–8, 2018, Deir ez-Zor, Syria)

They were wiped out by the full military force of the America .
Air support: AC-130 gunships, F-22 Raptors, F-15E Strike Eagles, AH-64 Apache helicopters, B-52 bombers, and an MQ-9 Reaper drone firing Hellfire missiles.

Ground support: High Mobility Artillery Rocket Systems (HIMARS) and Marine Corps artillery

What your point sir??

have read about the incident, this was a "direct attack at a base housing US forces hence the US had to defend its troops.

There's no direct military provocation from Nato or US forces against Russia in Ukraine, hence Russia can't attack the US nor NATO members

P.S The attack was done by Wagner para -military groups, this is a private military organisation, there's is sufficient "plausible deniability" by the Russian authorities.

will the US attack Russia military post in Syria because Wagner forces attacked a base housing US forces??

clearly you can't read...what has been the pretext of Russia attacking a NATO member?
Pretext of what?? Kindly tell us mighty "wise one"

Ukraine scoring a big hit against Russia, is now a Pretext to attack Estonia and Germany??

Soviet Union pilots thou on training flew Soviet made migs against US fighters in Vietnam, supported South Vietnamese forces with troops against the US, the US also supported the Mujadeens against Soviet forces in Afghanistan, both countries even in the peak of the "Cold war" era never attacked each other, knowing fully well the consequences on both powers and the world at large

As long as there's no "direct" provocations from either side there will be no "direct" confrontation between the US led Nato and Russia, all confrontation will be done via proxies.

There's simply no "Pretext" of Russia attacking a NATO member without any direct military provocation from the bloc.

Are you not the same person who said Russia should declare war on Ukraine after the drone strikes?? 😅😅😂🤣 You are way out of your depth dude, stick to copy and paste mate.

funny that some Ukrainian delegations flew to Washington yesterday to convince Trump to still be on their side....pretty sure it didn't go well that's why Hegseth was absent from from Ukraine/NATO meeting and also we have this speech now from Trump. US is significantly distancing itself from Europe not necessarily NATO. If i am Putin i will hit Ukraine hard and probably like two drones into NATO territory probably Estonia and see what NATO response will be...just keep doing it will a missile lands in Berlin Taurus production site.
Stop dreaming you will never be Putin, There's is alot of reasons why Putin has hold unto power in Russia for years, one of them is that he has avoided military confrontation with the west, and he won't make stupid decisions as we have seen with his so many "red imaginary lines" there's is a huge difference why he is Putin the "Dictator" of Russia and why you are just a "Ordinary" nairaland military analyst, When you get your own country to rule you can target a Nato country with drones and bear the consequences.

You think war is call of duty?? Do you even think at all?? Do you know the ramifications of a Russian strikes on a Nato country?? 😂😂🤣 too many "Dictators" and "Generals" on this thread

Hitler invaded the USSR with 3 million troops, 600 thousand vehicles and was still defeatedAt the start of 2022, the Ukrainian military had 196,600 active-duty personnel, which, according to the 3:1 force ratio rule, would have required an invasion of 590,000 Russian personnel. Instead, the Russians planned an invasion with 190,000 personnel, actually smaller than the combined Ukrainian armed forces.

What this information tells is that Russia actually never planned a full invasion but rather a strategic attack. The Russians themselves have a listed their objectives which never included taking over and governing the entire Ukraine but Western politicians and media manufactured the narrative if Kiev in 3 days. From the beginning, Russia's assumption was that the Ukrainian regime was scared and would negotiate fast and planned the operation according to this assumption. This assumption is Russia's greatest error in the war.
Mate what are you saying?? Go and read Soviet military doctrine, The Soviet Union and Russia have done it times and times again, Attack the capital, capture the main airport and used it has a staging point to bring in airborne troopers then capture the capital decapitate the government and then watch the opposition forces collapse without any form of structural leadership, and used that as a spring board to occupy the country.

They did in Czechoslovakia in 1968, They tried to do the same thing in Afghanistan in 1979 by taking over kabul airport and using it as a staging point bring in troops, remove the then Afghanistan leadership and then launching a full scale occupation of the country, How many troops did the Soviet Union use to start the Afghanistan invasion?? How many troops did the US used to start the invasion of iraq??.

We are not all slow here, anyone with any atom of reasoning knows the Russians planned to take hostmel airport, land in paratroopers, you don't want to take keiv yet you invaded from three positions, you don't want Kyiv yet you tried to encircled the city, the failed Kyiv invasion was one of the most televised conflict, don't patronised me, save your falsehoods for your Russian friends.

This have been verified by military analyst around the world, even captured Russian troops confirmed that the goal was to capture, Kyiv and remove the government of president Zelensky.

How many men have Russia used to far in the dombass?? 20k abi??.

how are you supposed to deploy a bomber that heavy quickly from an underground air base you think you're wiser than the country that's been using the said aircraft for 50yrs plus
These are strategic bombers, they are not meant to be deployed quickly like fighter jets, a mission prep using such bomber takes hours to do.

Strategic bombers can be parked on specially formed harden shelters, it has been done before, the reason why they were left in the open was because of Russia perceived reasoning that the Ukrainian forces do not possess the necessary weapons to target such airfield deep inside Russia

Which is very correct, the Ukrainians do not have such weapons with such range, hence the drones were smuggle into trucks close to the military bases before being activated.

If Russia was fighting a country whose military possess long range ballistic missiles, like the US and China, Those bombers wouldn't be parked in the way they were parked, they would hsve been spaced out. and a harden shelter would have been provided or some anti drone net.

Putin will not react heavy handed like the West. that is what they expect so they can justify their narrative that Russia is the aggressor. Russia is fightinga military, political and economic war and has to win on all fronts. They still need the backing of China and other strong economies as they forge a stronger international alliance to take over from western hegemony.
What rubbish is this?? So all putin has done in Ukraine he has done with a soft hand?? Can you read what you wrote??

A putin that just last week carried the largest recorded bombardment of the capital keiv with drone and ballistics missiles, A Putin which has initiated the largest invasion in Europe not seen since the hay days of WW2, He has targeted Energy facilities, civilian facilities, schools, transport systems, and hospitals and his currently holding on to large hectares of Ukrainian land. Go check the civilians casualties incurred by Ukraine during the course of the war. Here, you are trying very hard to downplay Putin's war efforts in Ukraine, implying that he is showing restraints. Well I guess the Ukrainians who have been faced with constant attacks from Russia for over 3 years would sleep better knowing that Putin according to you has been dealing with them with a light hand.

One of your fellow Russian friends was even implying that Russia should declare war on Ukraine, like the one being fought for over 3 years is a movie.

Is it until he uses nukes before we can tag it "hard hand"? There are no cards, Putin can play per conventional warfare, All the modern weapons of Russia have all been used in battles in Ukraine. Take your L and move on, mate.

P.s Russia invaded Ukraine not the other way round, How did the country which was invaded suddenly become the aggressor.

absolute balderdash. You know nothing.

Go and read about the Cuban Missile Crisis. Same thing happened; Russia wanted to build a missile base in Cuba and US invaded Cuba because of that. Funny thing is, Cuba doesn't share boundaries with US. Now US wants to put missiles in Ukraine which shares boundaries with Russia, despite RUssia and Ukraine having an agreement (Read the Minsk Agreement) against that, and now Russia is the bad guy?
Bring a single proof that the US wants to put missiles in Ukraine,

The Cuban Missile Crisis, the US didn't invade Cuba, they only initiated a naval blockage to stop Soviet Union nuclear missiles from reaching Cuba.

You even quoted Yahya Sinwar for me. 😳😳 I don't have the strength for back and forth today.
That guy doesn't know that "the Arabs were the first to reject a two state solution, instead they ganged up an attack the newly created Jewish nation.

They are now playing the victim because they lost the wars and lost territories, will the Arab world be asking for a two state solution if they had won the wars they lost?? A two state solution was possible in 1947, The U.N. General Assembly voted to divide Palestine into two states, one Jewish and one Arab. Paving way for the creation of the Palestinian state.

But guess what, because they (Arabs) thought they had the numbers and the superior military apparatus, instead of accepting the the UN offer, they refused, when the Jews finally declared independence in May 1948, Five Arab nations immediately invaded the new country seeking to destroy it.

They didn’t stop there, only to regroup in 1967, with Egypt, Syria and Jordan invading the Jewish nation in the "six days war" also the Yom Kippur of 1973 with the Egypt and Syrian forces attacking Jewish positions in the goland heights and in the sinai peninsula.

A simple aggrement in 1947 would have stopped the nesssarry bloodshed today, the dude thinks the Jewish-Arab debacle started in 2002.

What would have happened to the Jewish civilians and the Jewish state if the five Arab countries have successfully destroyed the newly created Jewish nation??.

You don't need a soothsayer to tell you that the shoodboi2 dude is a M*slim. Everything the guy stands for is influenced by religion and religious affiliation.

That's the reason why Ukrainian civilians dying doesn't bother him much, or Hindu civilians getting killed by Isl*mic terrorist groups. They don't faze him, as long as the victims are not M*slim, then it completely OK..

That's the reason why he will tag certain Jewish nation genocidal and a Russian nation a liberator.

WriterNG, the lun*tic made a genocidal statement today. You won't see him or others cautioning him. If it was someone who made a similar statement about Palestinian civilians, the whole congregation of "p!llocks" would have descended on the individual. I remember vividly when the "pleader" made simple remarks about the "prophet M", it was as if the gates of hades were let loose.

The consolation is that WriterNG words don't hold water. He is just an individual who's non compos mentis with gambling addiction.

if Bibi's style is accepted by them ,then they should not complain when it is done in Ukraine
The same Israel that allows aid into Gaza? Or the same Israel that tells civilians to evacuate before conducting airstrikes??.

Israel fought conventional wars with its Arab neighbours and didn't deliberately attack civilians,
In the Yom Kippur war, the Jews encircled the egyptian third army in the sinai peninsula and could have wiped it out. Close to 40k men would have been destroyed

The war been fought in Gaza is an insurgent style warfare, hence the uptick in civilians causalities, and the Hamas tactics of using civilians shield.

There's a huge difference between the Jews and the Russians.
