I feel your pain Bro, broken home or relationship is the worst thing i can even wish my enemy. move on with your life, don't curse, argue or abuse her. she has chosen to leave and let her be, this is the time to man up, eat well and take good care of yourself for yourself and your family. if you die now or contract one sickness or the other she'll definitely live her normal life. don't worry, true love exists, once you see your own you'll know. keep hustling for that greener pasture and try to make yourself happy. it might sound so difficult but believe time will surely heal your wound. shit happens, love yourself and move on |

The police in Lagos have arrested a gambler,
Yakubu Bashir, for alleged fraud at the
Bendel Inn on Ipodo Road, Ikeja, Lagos.
Bashir was picked up for his inability to pay
for drinks and food worth N145,000.
PUNCH Metro learnt that Bashir had gone to
the hotel on Wednesday with his friends to
celebrate winning a sports bet. He was said to have won N36,000.
He reportedly ordered assorted drinks and food
for himself, his friends and other people in the
bar, with a promise to pay the bills.
It was gathered that after the drinking and
merriment, the manager, Alaba, approached
Bashir, telling him that his bill was
N145,000.
Trouble, however, started when the suspect
said he had only N36,000 and begged that he
should be allowed to pay the balance in
installment.
Our correspondent learnt that in the ensuing
altercation, Bashir was detained, while the
manager reported the case at the Ikeja Police
Division, leading to his arrest.
“I am an NCE holder and work as a security
guard in a hotel. On December 6, I placed a
sports bet and won N36,000. Out of
happiness, I went to the bar with my friends
to celebrate my breakthrough. The money
was in my bank account. I wanted to
withdraw it the following morning because
we wanted to pass the night at the bar. I
explained to a waiter that I would give him
N36,000 and pay him up by January, but he
refused,” the 26-year-old suspect reportedly
told the police.
A police prosecutor, Inspector Benedict
Aigbokhan, brought Bashir before an Ikeja
Magistrate’s Court on two counts of conduct
likely to cause breach of the peace and fraud.
The charges read, “That you, Yakubu Bashir,
on December 7, 2016, at about 1.10am at
Bendel Inn on Ipodo Road, Ikeja, Lagos, in
the Ikeja Magisterial District, did conduct
yourself in a manner likely to cause a breach
of the peace by ordering for assorted drinks
and food for your friends worth N145,000 and
refusing to pay, thereby committing an
offence punishable under Section 166 of the
Criminal Law, No. 11, Vol.44, Law of Lagos
State of Nigeria, 2011.
“That you, on the same date, time and
place, in the aforesaid magisterial district, did
fraudulently collect assorted drinks and food
valued at N145,000 promising to pay,
knowing same to be false, thereby committing
an offence punishable under Section 312 of
the Criminal Law, No 11, Vol.44, Law of
Lagos State of Nigeria, 2011.”
The accused, however, pleaded not guilty
before the presiding magistrate, Mrs. O.A.
Akokhia, and was granted bail in the sum of
N100,000 with two sureties in like sum.
The case was adjourned till January 25, 2017. http://punchng.com/gambler-incurs-n145000-debt-celebrating-n36000-win/ |

Three days to the end of the 2016 Rio Olympics, Team Nigeria took delivery of the much awaited kits after most of the athletes had concluded their events with some already back to their bases. A top official of the Athletics Federation of Nigeria who disclosed this to Sports Vanguard Thursday, said the kits which arrived Wednesday night would no longer serve any purpose because “most of the athletes have left after concluding their events”. He added that “I have never experienced this in my years in sports. Money meant for the Games was held tightly by ministry officials and they were just releasing money piecemeal. We had to buy kits on our own while some athletes competed in their personal kits.” It would be recalled that Team Nigeria had to resort to their warm-up track suits for the match past of the Opening Ceremony as the sports ministry claimed the official attire which was showcased before President Muhammadu Buhari during the hand-over ceremony in Abuja failed to arrive on time for the ceremony. Nigerians who were alarmed by the embarrassing scenario condemned the ministry for the untidy handling of the athletes’ kits but the sports minister, Solomon Dalung, in defence of the ministry, tweeted with a post that even the South African contingent appeared at the Opening Ceremony in their track suits. http://www.vanguardngr.com/2016/08/w-o-n-d-e-r-f-u-l-team-nigeria-kits-arrive-3-days-end-games/ |

is this for real? |
GogobiriLalas:I think you need a medical attention, I pray God causes your room to be a warm spot to snake(s).... amen |
kekakuz:you want to look beyond the venom and appreciate it's aesthetics value? are you for real? |
I think it's a travesty of intellectual judgement for any reasonable human being to say that killing of snake(s ) is bad. snakes regardless of species are very dangerous to humans. they're not meant to dwell among human beings. I really hope that those speaking against it's killing will soon experience what it looks like having a snake a room. heaven will never be kind to you if you attempt chasing it out or killing it since they're beautiful creatures! I wonder when snakes' lives became more sacred than human lives. God forbid I see a snake and let it live. it might not hurt me but might end up harming my brother or sister. |
