Ghana has improved by far, as at then I doubt if Ghana could host the all Africa games, which Nigeria did, Ghana is hosting it today, ask yourself, can Nigeria host it today with all that is going on in the country?

Let me just tell you how at least good Nigeria was then compared to now, Nigeria hosted FIFA world youth cup in 1999, hosted the AFCON with Ghana in 2000 and our stadiums I think were better than theirs, then hosted the all Africa games in 2003.

In a space of 4 years we hosted 3 international major tournaments both for Africa and the world, tell me can Nigeria do that today?

Aside football, they have not done anything special to attract investors into other sporting activities in Nigeria .

Most athletes train themselves without support.
And we also have many categories Nigeria don't participate in at all and we'll be expecting to top medal tables.

E.g swimming, when will Governors start charging their Commissioners of sports to scout for talents. I visited few riverine cities in South South years back and saw little children diving and swimming without life jackets.

We have talents but no leaders and guidance.
