I want to ask please. Many Rivers people bear Chibuike, Emenike etc., and other names most Igbos bear. I am yearning to know if the names mean the same thing as it does in Igbo or does it mean sth else?

For example, Chibuike means God is my stronghold/strength, I guess. Does it mean the same thing in Rivers?

When compared to many staple nigerian foods, beans is relatively richer in protein. Though the main macro nutrient in beans is Carbohydrate but it is a good source of protein as well.
Maybe what they are implying is that the main macro nutrient in beans is carbohydrate not protein like we were taught in primary school

I recall the flopped coup by the Buhari bandit cabal to have the then Senate President, Bukola Saraki and his deputy Ekeremadu impeached and removed from their positions in the Senate.

Saraki had gotten wind of the plot to have him removed as SP and had secretly remained in his office chambers at the NASS complex overnight.

Saraki did not even inform his deputy Ekeremadu of the plot because Saraki did not trust anyone at that point.

The next day in the very early hours, men of the Nigerian Police and DSS had surrounded the Abuja homes of both Saraki and Ekeremadu .

While Ekeremadu was detained and not allowed to leave his house , Saraki was nowhere to be found.

At the Senate floor, the wolves had already convened and Remi Tinubu had taken the seat of Ekeremadu. It was at this point that Saraki appeared into the hall of the chambers to preside over plenary. The conspirators led by Lawal were shocked. Dino Melaye then stood up to raise an objection to Remi Tinubu seating in the reserved seat of the Deputy Senate President and raised a motion to have her vacate the seat.

Remi Tinubu had sat on that seat because she was very well aware of the ongoing plot and knew that the DSP wasn't going to be at the chambers. It was foolish of her to do so because it exposed that there were conspirators among the senators that had colluded with the Presidency to have Saraki impeached . Remi Tinubu had sat in the DSP's seat with the full confidence that she will soon emerge as the DSP.

As trivia as seating arrangements may seem , there's a ranking and bipartisan divide within the Senate floor that requires strict compliance.

Sitting arrangements do not only reflect seniority but also those in leadership positions as well as to provide a Bi-partisan divide in the house that will make it easier to take a voice vote if required .
