Vladmir Puskin!!! Long time no chat.
I can never forget that line at all in that film. Kevin Spacey fooled everybody in that film.

THE USUAL SUSPECTS (1995)

NBC made it official on May 14 2010 that the TV series "Heroes" has been cancelled due to low ratings.
It just had 4 seasons and a total of 77 episodes.

@Orikinla
Nigeria should be featuring prominently in this festival. I believe we have good films that are capable of winning the grand Palm d'Or prize. But the politics in the Nigerian film industry is just too frustrating. They prefer releasing films direct to VCD or DVD and thats an easy avenue for pirates.

@candylips
It will not even be approved by the NBC talk less of being shown on local TV stations due to the high sexual content and violence.

@Orinkinla

For the full list of films being shown at the 63rd Cannes film festival. go to: http://www.festival-cannes.com/en/archives/2010/allSelections.html

I never knew the Cannes Film market is different from the Cannes Film Festival itself.

@iice
Hehehe. Talking about "True Blood" in a topic about "Spartacus".

I don't think "Spartacus: Blood and Sand" can be shown on any local Nigerian station.

@cabali
I think bad reviews also contributed to "Clash of the Titans (2010)" not reaching the $1 billion mark worldwide.
Well, it has managed to make $460 million worldwide so far. It has covered cost of production and marketing which was around $120 million.

@teeluv
Na wa o! The reviews on "Robin Hood (2010)" has not been encouraging at all. I dey fear to go watch the film.

@Orikinla
I went through the list of films to be shown at the 63rd Cannes Film Festival, and "Through The Glass" was not among them.
Was it a last minute addition?

@teeluv
I'm not too keen on seeing "KickAss". Anytime it comes out on DVD or it starts showing on Cable, I'll watch.

Similar topics exists all over the TV section.

If 3-D was one of the factors for Avatar's success, why didn't "Clash of the Titans (2010)" make up to $1 billion?  "Clash of the Titans (2010)" has made $460 million worldwide so far and its gradually losing steam.

I don't foresee "Shrek Forever After" beating "Iron Man 2" or "Alice in Wonderland" in terms of box office gross. Don't forget "Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time", "Toy Story 3", "Inception" and maybe "Tron Legacy" (which will be out by December) are also potential money makers.

@cabali
I'm just comparing based on numbers. I'm not saying one is better than the other.
You really think "Iron Man 2" can make more than $1 billion worldwide. Lets wait and see.

I remember last year, "Avatar" had an opening weekend of $77 million in the U.S. It ended up making $748 million in the U.S. and $2.7 billion worldwide.

Hmm!! "Iron Man 2" looks like it will beat "Alice in Wonderland" domestically. In U.S. Domestic charts, "Iron Man 2" has made $212 million so far and "Alice In Wonderland" has made $331.5 million.

"Alice in Wonderland (2010)" has made $980.5 million worldwide so far. It is currently the 6th highest selling film of all-time. Will "Iron Man 2" beat it? "Iron Man 2" has made $428.2 million worldwide so far and its not in 3-D format.

Canadian Bacon (1995) a political satire film directed by Michael Moore. It stars John Candy in his last movie before he died 1994.
I didn't like this film so much so I will not waste my time writing long reviews.

@iice
Andy Whitfield (Spartacus) has blood cancer. I hope he recovers soon.

From the cast, it looks like a low budget movie with Idris Elba as the only popular actor. Thomas Ikimi was involved in almost everything from story, editing, producing and directing.

I heard he had difficulty getting funds for "Legacy". If this movie becomes a hit, he will not have problems getting funds to do another movie from film executives.

I wish Thomas Ikimi the best.

I came across the trailer of a movie called "THE ADJUSTMENT BUREAU". It stars Matt Damon, Emily Blunt, Terence Stamp & Anthony Mackie.
It has a release date for September 17, 2010.

@Mad_Max
Leap Year? Na wa o! You really have time to be watching wack movies.

@semid4lyfe
I saw that story in today's Punch newspaper. We have not been given full details about the movie like the cast, crew and storyline.
Lets see how it goes.

True Blood Season 3 will begin airing on June 13, 2010.

@macnuel
I regretted watching "Legion". It was so disappointing.

@Ogaga4Luv
So, Robin Hood (2010) wasn't that good. I see "Iron Man 2" staying at the top for the 2nd week.

@spikedcylinder
"Nine" ke. I don't want Nairaland to crash permanently.

@Bobi Joe
"Trinity" is a Ghanaian movie and not a Nigerian movie.

Maybe when we start reviewing wack films, Nairaland will go out of service for good.

No more reviews for musicals and wack movies.

The new trailer for the movie INCEPTION

It has a release date set at July 16 2010.

Hmmm. . . .I know y'all watch movies a lot so here's the deal. You drop a witty one-liner from a movie and the subsequent poster is to name the movie in which it was said/used. Here's the first. . .

@semid4lyfe
That quote should be from "The Blind Side (2009)".

I noticed that the Zain promo post has disappeared as well. Strange.

I hope this crash does not happen again sha.
