millionaireman:
Three well-equipped Tertiary Hospitals, 27 consulting clinics in the 27 lgas is what Imo state needs to deliver quality health care to its citizens.

Imo already has two of such tertiary hospitals - FMC Owerri and IMSUTH Orlu. Another tertiary hospital in Okigwe - then these tertiary hospitals serve to conduct major blood, urine and tissue analyses; receive referrals from the minor clinics in the other Lgas, carry out major surgery, the tertiary hospitals provide ward services for patients, conduct researches on existing and emerging health problems, etc. This is how it is done in developed and some developing countries. They don't litter giant hospitals all over the place because cost of health care is very expensive.

When the 27 Imo hospitals really take off, can any Imo state govt afford to equip and pay those that run them; because at the beginning, the hospitals cannot generate enough money to sustain themselves?

You have a point..

Although none of those 27 hospitals are giant..

Ordinary New Cross hospital in Wolverhampton (which ranks as the worst city in England is probably bigger, more equipped and more expensive to run than all 27 of them combined..

In England and Europe hospitals are like small cities with streets, zones, districks etc..

Not one building..

The key remains in division of labour..

I can't stress this enough..

I honestly think it's stupid to make something universally free just for the sake of sounding good and deceiving people..
It only shows that one doesn't understand the meaning of the word free..
Or the meaning of the words economy or society or government for that matter..

None of this can ever work in a place where people pay federal taxes to a so called federation that only uses that money to kill those same tax payers and to build stuff in places where people have completely giving up on working, farming, going to school etc..

The whole thing is just one big mess and people are too brainwashed to even grasp the comprehension of what is transpiring..

I Have Seen Two Igbo Parents Who Are Dark Have Babies Way Way Lighter Than Them...not Yellow But Fair. I Wonder If They Bleach Their Children But I Dare Not Ask. I've Seen Stats And In Real Life... Most Igbo Women Bleach Their Skin. Most Yoruba Don't. Maybe Igbos have always been lighter... That doesn't mean fair in complexion... Fair is a very dull complexion. Yellow Skin Is Beautiful Because Yellow Is A Radiant Color. Most Igbos Aren't Yellow.. Their fair.. Which looks unnatural or like a genitic problem.

I'm happy to see you find pleasure in self delusion..
Igbo people have many different skin colours and many different hues..
Some are as a result of lost populations that have likely merged through migration over time..
But some Igbo people have very light skin for the very simple reason that Igbo people are human with evolved brains and unlike some other populations we have not been killing people who are albino..

Whereas the people in the West and north with their primitive genocidal brains kill everybody who is different from them..

They have proven this with the slaughtering of Biafrans in 1966, they have proven this with GhanaMustGo in 1983 and they will prove it again and again..

Plus Yourubbers have a history of superstitious practices and magic rituals which is still prevalent in modern day as they perform rituals with any type of creature from dogs to elephant to rats and anything in between..
Benin Republic, their homeland, is regarded as the birthplace of Voodoo..

are u sure about that ? there are lots of short people west of the niger, and i have been to all the yoruba states , they lack fine girls talkless of curves. (dont confuse obesity with curves) igbo men look intimidating because of their height and deep voice. and our women of course we already know say na them fine pass followed by the efik/ibibio then edo

There is no question about the finest women in Africa being Igbo..
99% of African beauty contests in or outside Africa are won by Igbo girls..

I know posts like this have been posted to death on NL, but are there really that much Igbo people that have 'light skin'? Whenever I go to the east, all I see are dark people and I would say about 1/20 are light, give or take. So is it exaggerated? Post your thoughts please.

Igbo people come in a million different colours..
In my family there are 6 people and we have 6 different skin colours..

"Light skin" is just an arbitrary term, if you don't have a unit of measure or a scale you can't determine how light light skin is..

In my own experience I've noticed that the range of skin colours of Yourubber and Awusa people is more homogenous and less varied and the range of skin colours of Igbo people is more varied..

Fulani people also have some more variation especially from Adamawa and Taraba but maybe not as much as Igbo..

When people say: "Igbo people are light skin" they are making a false claim..

The correct way to put it is "Igbo people are varied in colour or Igbo people are colourful"..

Doesn't mean that others are not varied, but as far as I've noticed, Igbo people are far more varied..
You will hardly find 10 Igbo people all in one colour..

These tests compare your dna to the dna of the people who live in a place today..

They don't compare your dna to the dna of people who lived in a place 30 000 years ago..

So for those of you who are out to confirm or disprove historical facts or prophecies, just know that this type dna test will not do that..

You would need a full archeological and genetic investigation to figure out which population moved where and when..

And I doubt a $100 kit will do that for you..

Regarding the accuracy of the test there have also been controversies about the margins of error..

As far as Igbos are concerned I strongly doubt that all Igbos share the exact same ancestry..

Likely many lost populations are contained inside the gene pool of what is today known as Igbo population..

We all look too varied..

In my family there are 6 people and we have 6 different skin colours and 6 different skull shapes and body types..

And when I say different I mean totally different..

I've noticed that other human populations and even other animal species don't have such a wide range of differences in their physical aesthetic make up..

Abagworo:

You are quite lagging in knowledge of Imo State and our Governor and that makes me doubt if indeed you are from Imo or even an Igbo man. Rochas foundation Colleges have existed for more than a decade and have been giving free education to the poor in all regions of Nigeria with Imo State having 2 at Owerri and Ogboko. Make your enquiries before making ignorant comments.

Don't stress yourself..
You and I both know that the truth is very different..

It will all be revealed when his immunity as governor ends..
His story will likely be very similar to the tales of James Ibori..

Btw I was born in Italy..
I've spent one year in Owerri..
I am from Ihite Owerri in Orlu lga if you must know..

I'm just pointing out that there is no such thing as a person who builds schools and gives scholarships to thousands of kids from his own private money which he presumably made with blood sweat and tears..
(Blood sweat and tears which we have not seen btw)

It's only common sense really!!

Did you create these states??
Did your ancestors create these states??
Did anybody with Igbo blood create these states??

Or did Gowon and Murtala and Obasanjo create these states??

So for those of you who are thinking that these 36 states and their constitutional authority have any natural or democratic properties just know you are wrong..

The sooner we destroy these states and restore a single Igbo nation the better..

I promise you..

Some of you are still deceiving yourselves with this Nigeria..

Celebrities / Re: Abuja Preacher Predicts Death Of Top Nollywoood Actress In 2016 by Obiobi8(m): 3:37pm On Jan 10, 2016
FlirtyKaren:
General Overseer of the Abuja based Divine Hand of God Prophetic Ministries, Prophet Emmanuel Omale, who had Jim Iyke as his best man when he wedded years back has called for prayers to prevent the violent death of a top Nollywood female star. He said if fervent prayers aren’t offered the star would either die in a deadly road accident, an armed robbery attack or of high blood pressure.

He also said a former Governor’s wife in the South-South should pray against bereavement and detection of terminal illness. The Prophet also declared that he sees many billionaires crying as many of them would fall in the year.

According to him, many of those who made their money through dubious means would end up in jail while new and younger billionaires would rise up to replace them. On Boko Haram, he said the power of the group has been greatly reduced, but a top military boss may die in combat.

In fact he has advised Nigerians to take President Muhammadu Buhari’s war against corruption seriously. This is as he warned that two newly appointed ministers be careful about getting involved in a financial scandal that will see them being sacked and jailed.

The young seer who correctly predicted the emergence of Bala Ngilari as Adamawa State governor, among other accurate predictions also said two serving Senators should pray against scandalous revelations which could lead to heart attack. Omale equally said that he saw billions of naira embezzled from the past government being returned openly and that there will be 17 months of prosperity for Nigeria as oil price improves.

He therefore admonished Nigerians to support the government of President Muhammadu Buhari as “the current hardship would soon be over”. According to him, by the middle of 2016, there would be money in circulation and “all the present hardship would gradually ease off”.

The Prophet gave his 2016 prophesies to a jam-packed service at his Area 1 Garki church penultimate week. “President Buhari will be the best President the country ever had and he would lay super structure foundation that would lead to economic growth and development for Nigeria” He further said that by 2020, Nigeria will become the envy of nations, adding that Nigeria would not divide despite the pro-Biafra agitation, as the whole issue will be resolved amicably and the country will wax strong even as Buhari implements some parts of the National Confab reports.

As Rochas is always in the news squabbling with Owerri people over land and other issues as above,

can anyone link the name Gov Rochas Okorocha to any other Imo community, or town or local government area where Okorocha was starting, talking about or commissioning any development project - except in Owerri - since Okorocha joined APC?

Next rainy season, the fifth rainy season after Rochas Okorocha contractors scrapped roads and abandoned them in many towns excluding Owerri, flood is most likely to wreck more havoc in these towns.

Our governor Okorocha does not seem to give a sh...t about the plight of people living in these towns. He gets obsessed with his red light city, Owerri.

Plots now are going from N4.0M, depending on the size and the individual owner. Contacted me if you are interested.
