Troops of Operation DELTA SAFE have nabbed suspected vandals that detonated dynamites resulting to the breach of an International Oil Company facility located at TEBIDABA –OGBOINBIRI – BRASS pipeline in the outskirt of IMGBIBA Community of Southern Ijaw Local Government Area of Bayelsa State. 

The arrest was disclosed by Commander Operation Delta Safe Rear Admiral Apochi Suleiman during a press conference held today at Headquaters Operation Delta Safe in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State. He stated that “following the incident, troops acted on a tip off spotted suspected hideout at a fishing camp along ISONOGBENE where 3 suspects namely; Mr Ayebemi Dressman, Mr Inimotimi Abule and Mr Epemege Frank were arrested in connection with the vandalism at PEREMABIRI Community of Bayelsa State”

Rear Admiral Suleiman who was represented by Colonel Danjuma Abdullahi added that during a Similar operations, troops deployed at BENESIDE location in Ekeremor Local Government Area of Bayelsa State also apprehended 2 suspects, Mr Bibowa Anemi and Mr Ngoriduwa Gomogo alledged to have been responsible for sabotage and theft of wellhead 6 actuator device, an oil wellhead tool belonging to one of the International Oil Companies. Their criminal action led to disruption of the operations in the oil company. The wellhead is currently under repairs.

He revealed that in another development, troops deployed at Omuku Forest in Rivers State acting on a tip off swiftly responded and engaged some suspected  armed kidnappers in a gun duel leading to rescue of the  kidnapped victim and death of 2 of the kidnappers. The rescued victim is currently receiving treatment in a medical facility in Port Harcourt.

According to the commander “ troops raided a suspected pirate’s hideout at Elema, Rivers State. Although, no arrest was made during the raid, several items were recovered. The items include; 23 rounds of 7.62mm Ball Special ammunition, one generating set and 40 Horse Power Suzuki speed boat engine amongst others” he said.

He used the opportunity to commend the general public and the press for all the support given to Operation DELTA SAFE in its effort to protect oil and gas infrastructure, deter and prevent militancy, sea robbery, crude oil theft and other forms of criminality within the joint operations area that could impact negatively on economic activity in Niger Delta region.
Read Admiral Suleiman appealed to members of the public to provide timely information to troops in order to get rid of notorious criminals from the region.

'Sad story .

This is my brother Emmanuel Augustine , this morning he was brutally beaten by hishba police and Nigerian police of Kano state to the extent of fracturing the two bones in each of his legs .

According to his own account , before he got to sabongari market Kano this morning, hishba and Nigerian police had blocked the market asking traders to go back home, when the traders mobilized to protest against the attempt to shutdown their business premise, the Islamic police, hishba and Nigerian police unleashed a gruesome attack on them, unfortunately my brother and about 20 other Igbo traders were victims of the heinous attack'.

A Nigerian lady Toyosi Akerele Ogunsiji who just graduated from Harvard was excited to meet John Kerry in USA.According to her,the 68th United States Secretary of State, Senator John Kerry was the Commencement Speaker at HKS but a day before, he made time to have a very brief chat and Group Photograph with them,the Executive Board Members of the Harvard Kennedy School Student Government.

Following the arrest of one Felix Ioryer of Assasi North Bank Makurdi on 24/05/2017 based on reliable info, the suspect confessed to have sold a locally fabricated Beretta pistol to one alias 'Bishop' of Abuja for N40,0000. During investigation, the suspect led operatives to an arms manufacturing factory at Tse-tyungu Kyado district of Ukum LGA. Two suspects, Purga Tyowa 25yrs and Aondoyavenga 18yrs were arrested with the following exhibits used in arms manufacturing:

- 1 carbon cylinder
- 1 gas cylinder
- 1 sumec generating set
- 1 Dane gun
- 1 fabricated pistol
- 1 filing machine
- 1 drilling machine
- 2 saws
- 1 tool box
- 1 Bagco bag containing tools
- 1 Bajaj motorcycle.

Suspects would be charged to court as soon as investigation is concluded.

-His Excellency Governor Rochas Okorocha Rejects the Appointment.

The attention of the Governor of Imo State, Owelle Rochas Okorocha has been drawn to the publication listing one of the daughters, Mrs. Uju Rochas Anwuka as a member of the Board of the Federal College of Education (Tech), Omoku.

And it is important to swiftly state, with every sense of concern, that the governor had read about the appointment like every other Nigerian because he was never consulted or briefed on the appointment and that is why the whole thing looks suspicious.

To the governor, the appointment was obviously not done in good faith. Whoever was the brain behind the appointment did so out of unbridled mischief. Otherwise, the person behind the appointment would have had the courtesy of either informing the father or the mother.

The truth of the matter is that the governor’s daughter does not need the appointment. The governor has therefore asked whoever was behind the appointment to withdraw it since the daughter would not have needed the appointment, even if he had not become governor.

Indeed, the governor has the feeling that whoever was behind the appointment did it with something else at the back of his or her mind, otherwise the person would have acted well his or her part by informing him or the mother or even the daughter herself.

The daughter and the entire family reject the appointment.

Troops of Forward Operation Base, Fika, on routine patrol earlier today, arrested a suspected fleeing Boko Haram terrorist, named Bala Ibrahim aged 30 years at Fika. Preliminary investigation shows that the the suspect is an indigene of Bulabulin village, Fika Local Government Area, Yobe State. He is further being interrogated. 

Similarly, troops deployed at Forward Operation Base Yuga on blocking position, today, following a tip off from well meaning individuals, ambushed  and arrested 4 suspected kidnappers at Mundu village.

The suspects, Yahaya Auta, aged 25, Salisu Lawal, aged 20 years , Umar Mohammed, aged 18 years and Samaila Abubakar were found to be in possession of 1 Locally made Six Loader Single Barrel Gun, 1 Empty Cartridge, 2 Machetes, a Knife, 2 Mobile Telephone Handsets, 2 Packets of Tramol Tablets and the sum of Three Hundred and Sixty Naira, while on their way to commit crime. They also currently being further investigated.
