The Peace Corps of Nigeria (PCN) on Thursday won its N2bn Human Rights Suit instituted against the Inspector-General of Police, Ibrahim Idris, the Nigerian Police Force and 4 others.
This was even as the presiding Judge, Hon. Justice Gabriel Kolawole also gave a 7-day ultimatum that the National Headquarters of the Corps located at No 57 Iya Abubakar Crescent, off Alex Ekwueme way, opposite Jabi Lake, Jabi, Abuja, be unsealed.
The National Commandant of Peace Corps of Nigeria, Amb ( Dr. ) Dickson Akoh and 49 other officers of the Corps who were arrested on February 28th, 2017, had approached the court, through their Lawyer, Chief Kanu Agabi ( SAN ), seeking redress over their unlawful arrest, detention and brutality.

AN operative of Peace Corps, Adebisi Mukaila Michael, in a rare display of bravery has rescued two persons, Temilola Isiaka and Kehinde Daodu from a gang of four armed robbers at Orisumabare area in Osogbo, Osun State and handed them over to the police.

According to eyewitnesses, Michael was driving along the area when he sighted the robbers armed with dangerous weapons attacking the victims around 8pm. He was said to have engaged the robbers to save Temilola and Kehinde.

It was learnt that Michael was assisted by some passersby and he succeeded in disarming the robbers and took them to the Dugbe Divisional Police Station.
Two member of the gang arrested, Kaseem Oladehinde and Idowu Hazzan have since been arraigned in a magistrate court in Oshogbo.

Police Prosecutor, Mr Ajayi Sunday told the court that Oladehinde and Idowu and others at large at about 8:00pm at Orisumibare stole a bag containing the sum of one hundred and ninety six thousand naira (N196, 000.00) and a mobile phone.

Ajayi also told the court that “the accused persons attacked two persons, Isiaka Temilola and Kehinde Daodu with dangerous weapons and injured the Peace Corps officer that recued them.”

The police prosecutor added that the accused persons also damaged the Peace Corps Officer’s Toyota Highlander vehicle with registration number JJJ 242 GQ, and stole his identity card and ATM card.

Michael, who was also present in court during the arraignment said the accused persons also took his uniform and desert boots from his car. Michael sworn to an affidavit in which he listed the items that the accused persons took from his car.

The police prosecutor told the court that the accused persons committed various offences contrary to and punishable under the law. The accused persons pleaded guilty.

In her ruling, Magistrate Adenike Olowolagba ordered that the accused persons be remanded and adjourned the case till November 8, 2 017.

Game of Thrones Season 7 climax leaked by HBO Hackers
The Seventh season of Game of Thrones- 'The Dragon and the Wolf' has not been easy for the HBO. There have been a series of Game of Thrones leaks-- everything from scripts to complete episodes. Now the hackers have leaked the plot of a final episode.
The hacking group, Mr. Smith was responsible for stealing 1.5 terabytes of data from HBO have now released the "sixth wave" of data dumps and the dumps contain how the show will end.
According to the reports of The Independent, “a detailed outline of every episode in season 7 include the finale, intended for internal use and dated April 2016 was posted on Reddit’s Game of Thrones spoilers-dedicated subreddit, Freefolk, apparently originating from the HBO hack”.
The leak has been a result of HBO's refusal to pay approximately $6.5 million worth of Bitcoin as a bribe to further stop any kind of hack.
HBO has issued a statement several times denying any kind of talk with the hacker.
"We are not in communication with the hacker and we're not going to comment every time a new piece of information is released. It has been widely reported that there was a cyber incident at HBO. The hacker may continue to drop bits and pieces of stolen information in an attempt to generate media attention. That’s a game we're not going to participate in."
However, The Mr Smith group said:
"By the way, we officially inform you and other hundred of reporters whom emailing us that we sold 'HBO IS FALLING's entire collection (5 TB!!!) to 3 customers in deep web and we earned half of requested ransom. We put a condition for our respected customers and they approved. We will leak many many waves of HBO's internal stuff to punish them for playing us and set an example of a greedy corporation.

A 10-year-old boy who is constantly hungry due to a rare condition eats rolls of toilet paper if he is unable to get any other food, Dailymail has reported. 

The boy identified as Caden Benjamin, from Standerton in South Africa, weighs 14 stone 2lbs (90 kilogrammes) because of his constant overeating.

Now, he has been diagnosed with genetic disorder called Prader-Willi syndrome, which is characterised by an obsessive compulsion to eat. His mother Zola Benjamin says it means Caden will eat anything he can get his hands on.


‘At one point, Caden was eating toilet paper. He’d eat rolls of it,’ she said.

‘Actually, he’d eat any paper he would find in the house. If there’s nothing for him to eat, he’ll scrape together the dirt he finds on the floor and eat that.’

Several years ago, he was forced to undergo a tracheotomy and he now breathes through a tube inserted into his windpipe. 

Prader-Willi syndrome is a rare, incurable disorder that affects thousands of people worldwide, resulting in physical, mental and behavioural problems.

The condition is made worse by the fact that people need less food than their peers because their bodies have less muscle and tend to burn fewer calories.

Ms Benjamin added: ‘At three years old he was 40 kg (6 stone 4 lbs) and at that time, we didn’t know what was wrong with him.

‘We went to a number of doctors and no one could tell us what was wrong and why he was gaining so much weight.’


Eventually, a doctor at the Steve Biko Academic Hospital in Pretoria ran further tests and diagnosed Caden’s illness.

Now, Caden struggles to move around and even breathe because he is so overweight.

He also suffers bouts of depression because he is unable to live like a normal child.
