LagosismyHome: true ooo, many have spent millions on the F1 waka and after that no job ,no return on investment. Although some have finished with F1 and gone on to be way more successfully than if they haven't
F1 visa doesn't mean "Everything" to warrant all this extreme praying ...... As anything , get feedback work on improving oneself and pray but with moderation I agree. Reason why they grant student visas for those pursing masters/pHD more than undergraduate studies. It makes more economical sense. |

Odunayo007: I was denied this morning. My transcript goes thus:
Vo:where are you going to
Me: I am going to Oklahoma state University for my masters in computer science with focus in big data analytics
Vo:have u applied for a visa before
Me:yes (last year after my internship and before NYSC, I applied for a b2 visa to visit my fiance at Tulsa, he is a PhD student at the University of Tulsa)
Vo:what's your highest level of qualification Me:Bachelors degree in computer science
Vo:what do you do now
Me:I just completed nysc this April nd now I work as a private tutor teaching students in secondary school mathematics and ICT
Vo:who is your sponsor
Me:my elder brother, said his name
Vo:am sorry you do not qualify for a visa at this time and gave me the blue paper
Pls house, what could I have done better? Could it be the fact that I just completed NYSC and I really do not have experience (before my NYSC last year, like 2 months after grad, I had an internship with PwC Nigeria for about 3 months. After the internship, I left and went for service) or could it be the fact that I applied for a b2 visa prior to this. (school resumes in August and I do not want to defer to Spring 2018) I was not asked for any doc, asides my I-20 and international passport. I guess the fact that you have a fiance in the US. In their mind, you have no intention of coming back. Just my opinion |

To all the gurus in the house.
Can a Bachelors degress holder in Materials Engineering apply for masters in a field such as Radiology Technology or Health Physicist. This particular person is currently working in the Oil and Gas industry as a Field engineer with International certifications. However he is interested in pursuing a course in Radiation to help improve radiation safety at work. Any inputs? or he definitely needs to apply for masters in materials engineering. |

You can apply for first degree, much higher chance than obtaining a visiting visa I believe. Write the SAT Search schools online to apply to Get a sponsorship bank statement You good to go! |

Hello house, new here. Asking on behalf of a colleague.
1. Can a 39 year old apply for masters program in the states. Will the age be a barrier. 2. Does making a deposit for the tuition increase once chance of securing the visa. 3. Any school in mind that offers masters admission to HND students?
Thank you!! |

I was able to build a house after a two- year hiatus from this dating/relationship nonsense. It is parasitism- your only reward is sex that even gets old after a month. Children? give me a break. No more meaningless long phone conversation, gifts, lost phone stories etc. I am a much happier man single. |

Romance › Re: Is There Love Without Money? by Observer25: 5:28pm On Oct 23, 2016 |
Originalsly: There is love without money...lots of it. Having lots of money makes it easier for one to enter a relationship.... but having a relationship doesn't mean there is love ... lots of relationships like this... the person is in love with your money.... your riches... what you can provide but not in love with you... you are just the middleman. How many rich guys... overloaded with money.... have their gf/wives cheating on them with some poor guy?....because that is the guy the woman loves? There is love without money.... well, enough money to keep afloat! I disagree. If the poor guy was broke she will cheat or even leave him for a rich guy. Only reason she falls for a poor man while dating a rich is cos she got her money base already. Is not love! |

orgasticdance: Probably. But why does anyone need more than a year to reach that conclusion? Even if my relationship ends today it won't change my larger perspective that when women are free it benefits society as a whole (men included)!I value the freedoms women in America enjoy. Economic and Social. Nigeria is one of the worst places in the world to be a woman. My friend relax..don't let this your new found American love get so much into your head. How can you say Nigeria is one of the worst places in the world to be a woman? You serious? What you talking about? Even the ladies here in this forum will disagree with you. And yes..one year is too soon to reach a conclusion about women in the US/UK. Give it sometime! |

I did. Even football legend Kanu went back home for a university lady despite all his wealth and years abroad. |

orgasticdance: Great points. "African American women are the least likely to receive response from men of any race and ethnicity in the USA" That was from wikipedia: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marriage_squeeze. Then there's the thing with college educated black men being the most likely of any race to marry white. Dark skinned women need love. My friend born in the states: 24, college educated wants to marry white because black women are saucy and disrespectful according to him. He has sisters. Black males have the highest inter marrage rates while black females have the lowest. A young black ugly man can : 1. Make more money. 2. Get a college degree 3. Change his social networks 4. Improve his pick up game. 5. And ask women out on dates. Unfortunately women, universally, are more limited for mostly cultural reasons. I only came to the states last year and its been interesting observing it all. It's just way easier for men out here. So much economic and social freedom and liberty of the sexes. And the quality of women here is beyond question. I was doing relatively well in naija yet it was hard to meet women who were on my socioeconomic level. There just were not enough of them to go around. Beautiful, 5ft 6 plus, decent paying job, well spoken, etc. In yankee, there's still a social order (black men are the least desired of all ethnicities but at least we have control) and once you find your level it's just way easier which really makes me wonder why men have to go back home to find a wife. Women here are amazing!!! Yes it takes some kinda adjusting to them, but realy it's not that hard once you have an equality mindset. I met my fiancee here, we've been together for a year, bumps and all, and will hopefully tie the knot by year's end. Got here a year ago..met a fiancee you about to marry and you already think the ladies here are amazing. Dont you think is too early to conclude? There is a reason some very successful men still go back home to marry. Hope you never find out why. |
Family › Re: Why Is It That Nigerians Abroad Hardly Marry Nigerian Ladies Over There? by Observer25: 2:11am On Aug 07, 2016 |
yomz1e: Totally wrong argument, the people that run back home to get a wife are people who migrated abroad at a later stage in their lives. They are not use to the lifestyle and exposure of women abroad. They go back to village to pick a docile wife or ask their parents to do arrangie marriage. That being said, when the village woman now comes abroad, her eyes open and starts expressing her feminism , which now confuses the guy so he can't cope and cant beat the woman so the marriage collapse. Also if you grew up abroad and you've never visited your country, it will be difficult to go back home to pick a wife cos of the culture difference , and what it all comes down to is love, respect, communication and no 3rd parties ( especially parents) there are good women here if you search well and don't go show urself. Who still goes back home for village girl? When there are tones of educated univ and masters level ladies at home. It is a different generation bro. Some of the ladies here have not even completed university- still hustling. African men have great options now. Lots of ladies are comfortable back home and even doing better than some of the ladies abroad. It is a matter of choice. U can decide to choose from the above average 20 something nigeria ladies in your community abroad or go home to select a stunning beauty out of thousands. Is a personal choice. |
