Interview was short and honestly I have no idea why I was denied , I’m guessing strong home ties , it went like this

VO: How long have you been working as a lawyer ?
Response : for 2 years ( it’s my first interview and I really practiced maybe I should have explained further what I do .

VO: I can see you have a $24000 deficit who is funding your studies ?

Response :My Father (was expecting him to ask further questions on what he does and financial statements, but that what the last question

VO: sorry you are not qualified for Visa at this time , hands me the pink paper

Honestly I’m finding it hard to prove home ties ,I’m not married ,have no established business here ,was hoping he asked me about my program and what I plan to do with it , also any suggestion to get a school with better funding with my GRE score would be duly appreciated .

The issue here is with the school's name. The name "Webster" immediately gave me an online university vibe just like Phoenix university does. Reason she followed by asking you address of the university cos webster has a 100% online university as well. Apply to a more traditional school next time. You answered the questions well enough. Once she heard webster--her decision was made at that point.

Read my response well. I specifically referred to thoe who "travel" solely for the interview.
Other neighboring country US consulates used to issue visa to the "travellers" over the past 2 years due to unavailabiliy of dates. However, there is an unspoken rule now- chance of denial is super high. Don't waste your money!!!

I was the third person she  interviewed.  She denied the first 2  persons before me.
I feel the last question made her deny me. She wasn't convinced enough I will come back to Nigeria 
I was really surprised because I recently traveled to France , I got 4 fully funded admission.

We live to fight another day.

Me myself I'm a factual person, I follow the rules, cross the Ts and dot the I, but saying I will be denied visa cos I'm using Mpower funding, that I won't take. You might have tried and failed, or some other people have tried and failed, saying I will fail with your fact be like you are bittered.

I guess he is just being a realist. Student visa is granted on the assumption you will return to your home country after school. If that's the true case here, how do you plan to pay off the 63k while back home in Africa after completion. Or may be use 1 year OPT work to pay it off? Submiting such huge loan sum shows an immigrant intent. You not coming back! Life is all risk but weigh your options clearly.

Can someone move to SA with visiting visa and 5k dollars and make some business moves there for the long term? Asking for my cousin.

And even if I do, I’m sure you won’t find them attracting as they’re not half naked.They’re mostly fully dressed down … you can’t see any figure or bosom… I assume they’re reserved..

Most schools only allow transfer after the first semester. Try and know the schools transfer policy prior to making such move. All the best!

You can check University of South Dakota, admission comes fast if u qualify and have all necessary documents, it is on rolling basics, Cost of attendance is low its around 25k for a year, if you get graduate assistance, you COA will reduce but its 50/50..

Unfortunately for you, getting student visa could be an uphill task. Family ties.. established aunty and siblings. Realistically, your chance of returning to Nigeria is very slim regardless how you try to convince the VO

US embassy doesn't evaluate your financial capability or ability like those of Canada , UK and Australia.

If i were you , i will tell the VO thus ;

I have joint sponsors ...my uncle together with my brother and they have deposited their financial quotas into my personal account . They are both businessmen . Even if they deposited the money today it doesn't mean any bad. Who deposited the money and genuineness of the Account is what matters to the VO.

Besides , i doubt if the VO will even ask for your financial statement. They judge you psychology and merge all your claims together and decide if you are on track or derailed .


There is God..don't give up.

They do look at bank statements for the most part. In more than 50 percent of cases. A huge one time deposit few days before an interview is a red flag regardless of the source.

Ridiculous answer from the consular. Didn't they create F2 visa for this particular purpose. Will they refund her money back. This sounds crazy to me. Denying for no justifiable reason.

My husband and child were denied and I was placed on administrative processing
They took my passport and i20, Till now I've not heard from the embassy
Now my husband has gotten admission to a school in germany, he's on full scholarship and he can take us as dependants
Now my issue is how to get us consulate to fast track my administrative processing so that I can get my passport back as I need it soon to get germany visa, So is their a way to cancel my application at this point ? In my opinion everything looks good except that you may want to be answer strictly the questions you are asked without providing too much of details except you are nudged to continue.

Also, link the study to your past education, current job, and the prospects it offers you in the future in an eloquent and sequential manner.

For example, I chose this course because it builds on my foundation of Pharmacology where I did my undergraduate research in ABC. The APSU Biology avails me the opportunity to specialize in drug ***** which is an area that I can greatly contribute to the success of my dad's pharmaceutical business which I intend to take charge of upon returning from my studies.

Yep agree. Full funding with 8k deficit is a slam dunk case to me. His whole delivery wasn't succinct. Keep it simple and short. My dad will cover the deficit. I also have some savings. You spent most part of the conversation defending how your dad can come up with 8k.
And you were all over the place..about being a principal investigator then later how you will manage your dad's pharmacy. Two combo roles with a masters? Keep it simple please

Most times one of the pilots or both is fast asleep during such long haul flights, the firing is just to reassure the flying public they take safety seriously only if you know what goes on behind the locked cockpit.

You do realize auto pilot doesn't handle emergencies requiring quick reflex, clear cognition and coordination with the other pilot. This your thought process is insane and sad!!!

Good morning everyone please this just an advice not discouraging those that has gotten COS and abt to come and those still seeking for COS please and please make sure you find out if there are shifts for you in those care homes before u starting coming oooo so u won’t get stranded here all these care homes they will tell you they have shifts and accommodation for you and when you come here they will say that no accommodation and no shift for you and that will leave you stranded especially wen u are now here with your dependents please make sure u do ur findings before entering that plane to dis place cos nobody go send u for here if u stranded it’s really crazy out here man that’s just my advice even if u wan come come alone so dat u go rugged am get another shifts even if it’s for 20 hours den wen u settle u den send for ur dependents that just my sincere advice to those planning to come am not discouraging you just letting u know wat u coming to face if there re no shift or accommodation thanks
