Yeah its expensive. was told it can only be manage and not cured. I had to travel to Lagos for a particular drug that was sold for about 7k for 10tablets and its for my liver function alone. To God be the Glory without the drug, my liver is very fine.

Okay. Kindly let me in on the name of this drug u got and d contact of the place in lag. Was it herbal or orthordox medicine?

I was told by a gastroenterologist that treatment will cost up to 1.8 mil. The drugs aren't available in nigeria and has to be imported from switzerland and as we all know it wld be pegged to the dollar bla bla bla. Will involve a combo of injection and tablets. And this got me really concerned. If an infection that is so described as a "silent killer" wch to the best of my knowledge might be worse than HIV if not on the same scale is increasingly becoming an issue in our population yet more energy is still channelled towards awareness and none yet towards assess to treatment/treatment points; none of the pharmaceutical companies in nigeria have thot it wise to make these drugs readily available in nigeria? The ministry of health isn't taking action (s) towards subsidizing these drugs?

I tested positive about 9yrs ago and am very healthy... Have a wife and son that are both free from the virus......

Good to know. So how was the treatment carried out cos I learnt it's quite expensive and getting the drugs are quite difficult as they aren't readily available. Is that true? Anyone with answers to these questions?

That's right, but would have been better if he tagged somebody. Besides the one I've got is hard copy compilation.

U can snap the hard copies u have and post them here. That will help everyone. This email stuff is really distracting (personal opinion).

Heard some got text too but I don't personally know of anyone who did. Don't panic, There's still enough time; application hasn't even closed.
I don't have the past questions.

Those who got the text message are those who applied for the other rank (airmen/airwomen) cadre. The officers' cadre wch is the one under discuss on this thread is yet to wrap up applications. Thus, nothing to worry folks..

1. For God sake, wht is all this hullabaloo abt big ranks signing your form or attesting for you. Is that wht we honestly intend to bring to the NAF table??

2. A piece of advice to those that has ears, if you like let ur form be signed by an Air Chief Marshal or whomever. If it isn't for u, it isnt for u. Right before your ur eyes someone whose form was signed by a principal in a village school with no godfather anywhere except God the father will be picked while urs signed by even the current CDS will not scale thru the first screening.

3. We had better follow the instructions given on that NAF site religiously, fill your forms correctly and submit. Use ur time wisely to prepare for the written test and pray that God favours you. Rather than come online to be intimidating people unnecessarily.

4. It still goes to show that most youths of our time are not learning.

Those who have ears let them hear!!!

Plz guyz,I have 2 questions,am a graduate of computer Engineering(hnd),I only av a letter of recommendation from cpn(computer proffesional of Nigeria) due to the requirement on NAf website that"u must be fully registered with a proffessional bodie where applicable)plz can I stil apply. (2)can I use lette of completion as my certificate. Is nt ready?thank u in anticipation for ur reply.

Let me tell u one hard truth (hope everyone learns from this too):

1. This is a military recruitment not civilian. Adherence to rules and regulations is paramount.
2. Read every instruction given on d guidelines page carefully and adhere to them religiously. If d request is certificate, produce a certificate and not a look alike.
3. There are to many people to be attended to for too much special time to be allocated to a particular individual who didn't meet up wt the stipulated requirements. Nobody will be listening to excuses.

Good morning Haus, Pls I have a problem. I applied successfully yesterday and later discovered that the height I put in was incorrect.. . I'm 5.9ft tall which is abt 1.79meters and I put in 1.55 or so.. . I guess it's impossible to re edit... Pls what can be done.. . I emailed the help email address but I've not gotten solution to it yet... I just want to know if that mistake does not cause auto disqualification. Cos now my heart is troubled and I have been waiting for this NAF recruitment patiently for 2years now... I would really appreciate ur views on this....

We all have to be extra careful when filling those forms to avoid this kinda issues. For ur info, there are millions applying for this same recruitment, seiving is inevitable. First stage of shrinking will probably be automatic online based on u meeting the requirements stated there. Don't make urself a soft target...
