Hello friends!
I wrote the aptitude test since August 6th at V.I and was successful, but haven't heard anything from GTB till now. Please what do you advice I do?

Truly, there are many brutal and inhumane employers in this country, our labour laws are very weak and are even transgressed in broad day light, those responsible for ensuring compliance are probably bribed.
However the root of the problem lies in our corrupt leaders... if the right people are in government these things will be very minimal

Also, I tought we're here to share ideas and proffer solutions, rather some are abusing and mounting insults on each other.

We are the second root cause of some of these bitter issues we are facing, if you act this way now, how will you treat employees if you eventually become an employer someday.

this was what I got as reply from the HR after I sent a mail requesting for clarification on the mode of interview.

"it is for an entry role. Depending on the outcome of interview, the next stage of the recruitment process would be based on candidate’s background/area of interest, as well as available opening."

Ok, I'll advice you to make preparations towards your department of interest.
From the HRs mail, "your department will be based on your interest"

Please those that have aced the CBI should provide info on how to pass.

I also applied late last year. Since the "second quarter" mail they sent, I've heard nothing from them and several tests have been conducted.

Note: When i mailed them about info on the position i will be interviewed for, they told me I will be interviewed for an entry role but they didn't make mention of any department be it audit, tax or advisory.
How was your first interview? was it behavioral or departmental specific?

For this first interview, it's usually competency based questions and scenarios just as damilola231 stated.

I wrote my test in February, 2018, was successful and is yet to hear from them since then.

What they sent in the Email was a notification to prepare for test?

I don't know about that.

Professional certificates have great value in getting a job and more so senior level management position. It is a requirement like your first degree and NYSC discharge/exemption certificate.
Go for NIM asap. Induction comes up in March.

Yh, I can attest to the fact that they do.
I was more employable with my CRM and PMP certificates and knowledge.
Check New Horizons Ltd, you may google. They give the certificate after you've gone through theoretical and practical course modules. And there are many other providers too.

Hey, there is Top talented centre very close to Mega Chicken at Lekki.
You can get the phone numbers and emails of all the accredited tuition centres nationwide from ICAN website, u'll just download the PDF file.
Check there for their details, there is another at VI too.

What course did u study?

In my opinion, it is not very marketable.
I have a Project Management Professional Certification from Comptia Project+, an international body, I also possess a Customer Relationship Management Professional qualification, and both certifications are somehow limited. I'm presently writing ICAN now.
I'll advice you to go for a professional qualification that is marketable and highly in demand, if you can't afford ICAN nw, try to do NIM, CIBN or CITN they are cheaper, and will be more relevant than d project mangt.

We can go on and on concerning how the technological industry and every other industry in d economy is presently struggling to pull through.

I strongly feel that govt. policies are not favourable for the business climate in Nigeria, even the huge conglomerates and multinationals are experiencing one form of financial crunch or the other, we hear of some and many we don't, just btwn 2016 and now thousands lost their jobs esp. in the banking sector.

How then do we expect SME to breakthrough?
Only God can save us.
