I just did mine today...

it was okay generally, but obviously I am here thinking on what I could have done/responded differently. the panel were very friendly and they try as much as possible to make you feel comfortable.

lots of behavioral questions (please refer to previous years on behavioral questions already stated).

also, there's a short discussion 3 minutes on a topic.

I only provide information and guidance on what you need to know and our culture here in Stanbic IBTC.

Go to the career portal of Stanbic IBTC website. Check for suitable roles and shoot at as many as you feel you're qualified for.

The worst that can happen is a rejection mail.

When you get that, give it a go again.

I know people who tried many times before eventually getting in.

Stanbic has different pathways to join as a tech inclined person.

There is the DigiTAP and DiSEP program. If you scale through successfully, you are coming to IT. Regular graduate trainees, Contract staff and full-time staff in other departments can also switch to tech subject to the availability of the role and suitability of the candidate. I did not have a tech background but I switched to IT (the non-technical side). These are the various ways.

Stanbic still has some software developers who are not Stanbic staff. They are outsourced from Companies like TEK Experts, Uridium Technologies, SBSC, etc.

I believe this answers your questions and satisfies your curiosity.

Hi, not a programmer but just wanted to share my thoughts...

there are many free course and materials online which you can use for self study (YouTube, mdn web docs, the Odin projects and many more). However, self study sometimes can be frustrating as you get easily distracted and sometimes get lost in the seas of free resources. This is where the benefits of a program like Stutern is, you get a structured and accelerated learning from experienced hands.

Also, there are plenty of swe jobs I believe and there are jobs boards, LinkedIn where you can see these adverts.

Once you started learning and bring up your skills, all these will come to you naturally. Whether through your networks or through friends, you will start seeing job adverts
