one thing nija is good at is sitting no matter how uncomfortable it is on the fence, Those calling for revolution are slow to catch on. . . revolution don begin for naija, peeps brace your self the worst is just around the corner!!!well slow it may be, nudge me when that revo. is about to start, u see i like to sleep a lot ![]() revolution of the NIMBY.{NOT IN MY BACK YARD} |
the point am raising here is simple, kidnapping has no political agenda attached to it hence it becomes a game for your local urchins to get involved 4 the sake of it, i.e moni. once he get the moni ,he goes 4 the bigger kill next time, all to enrich himself. this does not put fear in any politician to perform, your local govt/governor will still be corrupt as usuall cos this kidnapping will be factored in the looting. we are going to oblivion at this rate. this is anarchy. |
The so-called get rich quick syndrome wasn't this prominent (if at all it existed) back in the days.@dark1,, i don't know what generation u r, but lets rewind 30 yrs back, get rich quick has been embedded in our system, in fact coup after coup came all in the color of wiping out the slate clean, wouldn't bore u with details. in actual fact most if not all our musicians from north to sth been known from day dot to glorify get rich syndrome. now back to mother earth, from then to now is only an extension and a re package of same crime. take moni as a denominator out, they are nothing but hideous crime with no political agenda other than enriching there pockets. so let 2gether condemn it. |
@oyb, u are damn right. our moral values has gone down the pipe. from family values, institutions, teachers name it ,pastors, not to talk of our politicians. a frd wanted to construct a small bungalow in rural agege, guess what ,area boys numbering 25 demanding to be paid a mere 20,000 naira. b4 work could commence. now divide25 by 20,000 naira. its pure laziness of the highest order. boys r angry? more like boys are sitting on their arse doing f.u.k all. |
who knows it feel it. its so unfunny when anyone related to you is kidnapped. sanni fine by me, but the mum , y, a friend of mine took his son to Nigeria on holiday last yr, the Boy was only 5yrs old. for the fact that news got around he was frm the u.k, boy was kidnapped in abeokuta for 3 days till my frd paid a large chunk of money. was my frd a politician/looter/corrupt.? no. so when you rejoice, leave the innocent out of it. |
^^^ so you know the kidnappers. ![]() |
by jumping to the conclusion by aish2 that As far as am concerned his mother failed as a mother to raise him to be a person, shows total lack of judgement on whom she knows not, how do we know whether the mother partake in the looting/corruption.? we all know the kidnappers were trying to get to sani by kidnapping the mum. so why raise the issue about the mum failure or otherwise. for all we care his mum could have raised him with all integrity and Mr sanni goes the other way. |
she has point. . . . An emotional one which does not change anything.I hate the fact that the mother was kidnapped but she should have raised her boy to become a better mani am sorry to be personal, have you any kids of yours? |
@aisha2, you r celebrating someone mum being kidnaped? nothing surprise me anymore. ![]() |
i think we are expecting too much frm this guy. he can not give what he hasn't got. the man will push us only to oblivion. |
Tragedy hit the Ogun State Command of the Nigeria Police Force on Sunday evening when armed robbers ambushed and killed four policemen on the Ijesa Ijebu-Ilishan Road in Ago Iwoye, Ijebu North Local Government Area of the state. That particular road is becoming very dangerous. i pray my suburb will not become like ABA. |
go to punch on line, just read it meself. |
Your position is good in theory. It assumes that GEJ is unlike other politicians and has the best interest of Nigerians at heart. The problem is that GEJ has not done anything to give us a reason to give him the benefit of the doubt. It seems you are acting on faith. In terms of raw facts, GEJ is not a significant departure from OBJ or Yaradua in terms of is approach to politics and what can be inferred as his disposition to the citizenry i.e. many politicians do not see citizens as the repositories of political power. Except you know something we all do not know, I will say your optimism about GEJ is rather unfounded. Is there some insight you have that informs your disposition? Or have been consulting in the traditional thank u ferrry much. me say dat , dem a want me head on a plate. ![]() |
i laufuuuu in engrish ![]() |
you are on point with some of your details, but i find it uncomfortable at times when you present yourself as the only purveyor and doyen of wisdom In Nigeria we already have 24 different banks and thousands of micro finance banks in operationquestion, how effective are the institutions on ground to move the country fwd, thousands of micro finance we were told then are well capable of effecting grass root economic push, i.e as witnessed in India and others. if the one on ground are not working , so we need more? so its no problem if GOVT wants to own a piece of these institutions to direct policyfine Mr. paddy-lo, go and investigate properly why marriage btw VIRGIN/NIGERIA AIRWAYS COLLAPSED. thank you. |
The GOVT will still have a controlling share and influence the flow of credit to whatever industries it wantsi thought you are a CAPITALIST, what is govt doing controlling share and influence? the mind boggle. |
He is just someone that will push us closer to where we want tobe. that i even doubt. |
MAPOMEJI. one day i will ask my boy d,banj/paso/tekoye to compose a song for you. how it will pan out , cant say. ire oh. |
@ seanet, do you have to go down that road. remember when you had that beef with sagamite, you stood your ground and delivered whatever points you have. a bit of etiquette is required at least, afterall gbengapro is also entitled to his views ,even if distasteful. common man. |
i don't see anything commendable here, the minister is only expressing the malaise in most of our institutions and probably hope to fix it. pray he can achieve this. We want to find out why they have not been effective as they should be and help them do what they should do. It is not enough to have policy in place but we have to make sure that the institutions are well equipped and have the ability to perform,” he emphasised. Aganga stated that the government wants “to fine-tune the existing strategies. I am not looking at capitalisation yet until I am sure they (the banks) have the ability. It is first a case of assessment before moving to the next step”. |
we have barely months to chosing the next president of nigeria. one big question boggling my mind is, can anyone out there point to me what the present incumbent has done to merit putting himself up for election. i am still wondering what jonathan has done since coming to power. in terms of power supply, jobs, health., fighting corruption, security, roads , health and many more. pls i wanna know. |
one thing i hate is ppl seating uncomfortably on the fence. if you have anything meaningful or otherwise to contribute just spit it out, afterall we all learn from each other. if that is ignoring ignorance, that is . |
^^^^^ do you have to travel to iceland or norway to know its cold. |
what a shame. what disgrace. words cannot be found to describe the shame called Nigeria. these thieves are really taking us for a ride. they loot the country dry and go overseas to enjoy the loot. convicted criminal like igbinedion; law makers like David mark and bankole; and self-proclaimed Mr cleans like oshiomhole.seething is mild. its like having an ak45 ,comes to mind. even oshiomhole. this country. kai. |
@paddy-lo, you are on a one way track, like a broken c.d, don't have a reverse gear. others are Ezeagu was not making much sense am afraid. . or apparent illogical argument above then stop making them. i rest my case. |
^^, to think you are the only one making sense with your capitalist idea say much about you. don't shove it down our throat. in a failed system like Nigeria where your vaswami bros. can be allowed back with all the allegations levelled at them shows we are govt. by morons. to reiterate how good and mighty your capitalist idea is working, the big Yankee was on her knees, Britain same, Spain , Portugal even the euro is being prop up at the moment. when ezeagu was referring to govt. responsibilities vas a Vi's pubic enterprise contributions to society , you were eager to Parry it away as a social idea. why do you think jobs are being created by any dimwit, cos crumbs are paid. workers right means nothing. is that a country you want for us? yea right. travel thru the length and breath of Nigeria and see your private enterprise abuse/treat its workers. of course its private money, energy, ideas and what not but all must come with social responsibilities. that's all we are saying. |
i am for the middle ground, firstly i believe if your private enterprise is allowed to run freely without any shade of govt control, the down trod en in our system will continue to suffer more. secondly our economy has already been hijacked by those in power and you have unholy marriage btw private and public , hence only in Nigeria can company like your mtn,glo make Poo load of money , after almost 10 yrs, there is no improvement to the comm. systems. infact it so expensive to make calls in Nigeria/per minute. how long does it take for us to have the much talk about broadband? in 2020? once we have a failed govt. the ppl will have little or no confidence in any of these MEGA PROJECTS. either Private or public. its all about TRUST. |
can i have that paul the octopus for breakfast? afterall /he is edible. |
Three Nigerian Journalists Kidnapped In Abaregret for the kidnap. but what sort of headline is that.? i thought for a moment ABA is in Ghana or Uganda ? |
