gracile: I know for sure that all men would like to marry a woman that can cook but i don't think the same goes for the women, especially me, i don't think i'll like it when my husband seems dissatisfied with my cooking don't think I'm not a good cook, i can cook very well but staying with my cousins that are very good cooks has taught me that its hard to please men that can cook. This is not to say i despise men that can cook, infact it can be romantic at times, i just want to get the ladies views on this; guys can come in too i NO WAY |

Health › Re: Ebola Alert From US State Department: All You Need To Know. by odingidiong: 1:47pm On Jul 29, 2014 |
Valfrankie: I was browsing through the net and came across this report written by the US Embassy and thought to share. Remember this Ebola virus of a thing has been trending of late and it poses serious danger to all our existence, hence the need to acquire as much knowledge about it as possible. This article might ease your worries, (words in brackets are mine and not part of the original article) please read on! "In order to help our Embassy Community better understand some of the key points about the Ebola virus we have consulted with our medical specialists at the US State Department and assembled this list of bullet points worded in plain language for easy comprehension. Our medical specialists remind everyone that they should be following the guideline from the center for God bless u for ds info
Disease Control and the World Health Organisation.
• The suspected reservoirs for Ebola are fruit bats. (who even eats bat, shey meat done finish, ni? Some People sef)
* Transmission to humans is thought to originate from infected bats or primates that have become infected by bats. ( )
• Undercooked infected bat and primate (bush) meat transmits the virus to humans. (cook your meat very well and enjoy, but remove bats and apes from your diet for now)
• Human to human transmission is only achieved by physical contact with a person who is acutely and gravely ill from the Ebola virus or their body fluids. (Emphasis on GRAVELY and ACUTELY ILL)
• Transmission among humans is almost exclusively among caregiver family members or health care workers tending to the very ill. (thats probably why health workers are more succinct to get infected. Mr. Sawyer was a Health worker, remember? Ok read on)
• The virus is easily killed by contact with soap, bleach, sunlight, or drying. A washing machine will kill the virus in clothing saturated with infected body fluids. (sounds like more reason why you should take personal hygiene very serious)
• A person can incubate the virus without symptoms for 2-21 days, the average being 5-8 days before becoming ill. THEY ARE NOT CONTAGIOUS until they are acutely ill. (Don't Discriminate, just apply caution while dealing with infected people)
• Only when ill does the viral load express itself first in the blood and then in other bodily fluids (to include vomit, feces, urine, breast milk, semen and sweat).
• If you are walking around you are not infectious to others. (STOP PANICKING!!!)
• There are documented cases from Kikwit, DRC of an Ebola outbreak in a village that had the custom of children never touching an ill adult. Children living for days in small one room huts with parents who died from Ebola did not become infected. (APPLY CAUTION IN THIS INSTANCE)
• You cannot contract Ebola by handling money, buying local bread or swimming in a pool.(this one doesn't need explanation. Arrange your money neatly in your wallet or purse. Stop putting money directly in your pocket, its not healthy)
• There is no medical reason to stop flights, close borders, restrict travel or close embassies, businesses or schools. (refer to point 4,6,7 & 8 above and point below)
• As always practice good hand washing techniques, but you will not contract Ebola if you do not touch a dying person.
•This information is from the US EMBASSY. (but modified by me) Please share with your friends and families and stop spreading panic on the social media. ABOVE ALL, PLEASE PRAY FOR MEDICAL DOCTORS WORLDWIDE, THEY ARE CONSTANTLY BEING EXPOSED TO VARIOUS HEALTH HAZARDS. GOD BLESS NIGERIA!!! |
