Goosethetruth: The number of excuses being made for Ruben Amorim and his glaring failure is quite amusing. Amorim was brought in to repair the poor form of this team under Eric Ten Hag and so far he has been failing woefully and talkative Amorim has broken all number of records in failure at this club and he should be called out. People criticise the players as not being good enough to play the system but is it the players that make Amorim to be so locquacious, talkative and brash in the press while consistently throwing his team under the bus? As I have said before Amorim keeps on giving me Andre Villas Boas vibes and everybody knows how that saga at Chelsea ended, If they wanted quick fixes they should have gone for Moyes. He has over 20 years of experience |

eph12: Hopefully we can get Moyes back so he can do his magic with some bunch of useless players, then we sack him again. I can just imagine the club approaching someone like Pep and he will just burst into laugh when he looks at the state of the squad 😀😀 Only Moyes calibre of coaches will accept continuing with this team at this point. 😀 |

eph12: Two seasons ago, Rashford picked up form after world cup and was scoring regularly even when we were playing rubbish. Towards the end of the season, he lost the form and we started dropping points. We went from being comfortable in the top 4 to securing top 4 on the last day. Immediately he lost that form, the whole team became very visibly rubbish. Last season we ended in 8th I think and we still didn't address some key positions in the team. Only Ugarte and De Ligt signing looked like they were addressing some specific problem. We struggled to create chances and score goals in the last couple of years, but they brought in Hojlund and Zirkzee. We're lucky Amad picked up form if not we'll definitely be much closer to the bottom 3. And we're acting surprised by our recent displays and position? How? We can't score. That's our major problem. No creator, no finisher. Our defenders scored our goals against Ipswich. Our attackers couldn't even manage to grab goals against a lowly rated team like that and they are talking about flexibility. Make couch dey bear problem wey no be him own. Make them just sack am so he can rest |

Is it Amorim's fault that the club is broke? |

European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by odizeey(m): 9:59pm On Feb 24, 2025 |
patrickmuf: Guys, I’m not sure you remember when we went through a tough period in the past, but what’s happening now doesn’t compare to what we experienced before, though it may be for a justifiable reason.
Amorim left Sporting in the middle of a season when they were excelling in both the Portuguese league and the UCL to join a club that was heading downhill. The only addition he had to improve the squad was Dorgu. The club was aware of his preferred formation and had plenty of time to assess if he was the right fit before appointing him, even though fans could see that we didn’t have the right personnel to implement his strategy. January presented an excellent opportunity to bring in 2-3 players, but the management only acquired Dorgu, who isn't a poor signing but definitely insufficient to address the larger issues within the squad.
Let’s also not forget that even before Amorim arrived, players like Rashford, Hojlund, Zirkzee (who seems to be improving), Antony, Bruno, and others struggled. While we expected the new manager to make an immediate impact, I have to ask, to what end? Should he just change the formation to secure a few wins and temporarily mask the problems, only for them to resurface later? I firmly say 'NO.' Ever since Ole came and misled the entire fanbase, I’ve learned not to get carried away again.
Let’s give Amorim the chance to bring in some players and conduct a proper preseason with the team before passing judgment.
I understand that we are not performing well at the moment, but I’m willing to be patient because I know that taking the easy way out will lead us nowhere. Some want a quick fix, but I and many others here and elsewhere don’t. The difference lies there. A quick solution would simply involve the manager changing the formation to secure wins that would appease part of the fanbase, but how sustainable would that be in the long run? I want him to stick to what he knows best, recruit his players over the summer, and then truly give it a shot. If he falls short of expectations 4-5 months into the new season, then we can start to hold him accountable. You dey mudzz me. E get wetyn them never explain give that guy? His mind is made up. Let him keep singing the chants of sack. Na him get data |

When I dey say make this man play ultra defense and counter to get at least one point them think say I dey carry talk. 😀
Cos most fans are fickle and irrational. You have to please them a little. It won't make sense to sack this man and another manager will come and start the new season with us, getting the things Amorim did not get. It will be unjust.
I also suggested he resigns if he doesn't get a good amount of players in January. |

Bombblacks: How is that relevant to anything? How many years has slot been at Liverpool. Moyes is outperforming Amorim despite being at a worst club. Amorim has no credit in the bank currently. Again, situational awareness. Slot didn't come into a team that was 12th at the middle of the season. Liverpool that has players in double figure stats. Baba. No team you'll give Moyes that he won't most likely take away from relegation at this point in his career. He has experience in that area. But not to win the league. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by odizeey(m): 12:58pm On Feb 24, 2025 |
Bombblacks: I can't stand anyone defending Amorim currently. Moyes went to Everton who were relegation contenders and in 8 games won 4, draw 2 and lost 2. That's the same amount of wins Amorim has in 15games at United which includes embarrassing Home defeats and you all think it's just the players. He has underperformed badly even with this current crop of players. The problem most of you have is situational awareness. Moyes that have been in the EPL before Garnacho was born? |
