What about comfort? Most viewing centers use benches that don't have backrest.

Most times it's only people who sit at the back or close to the wall that really get to rest their backs. Viewing centers being properly ventilated is a farce though; when it's a star match the whole place will be crowded and no viewing center owner will send some customers away because he wants you to be comfortable and breath fresh air.
Which comfort you dey find?

Money don touch you hand na why. 🤣

Your team dey find goal you dey find comfort.

Viewing centres get grade sha. And as you grow in cash, you tend to prioritise your comfort.

You see the image from that twitter guy eh, nobody who have actually seen money he worked for will force himself inside that sardine container to watch any game of football. I just don't see it.
If I am a struggling man and have 200 naira in my pocket to watch match you think I will go to a viewing center without ventilation rather than looking for a neat one?

Shey brokeness dey comot sense from person?

There are viewing centers and there are viewing centers. The guy is specifically referring to the specific kind of viewing center highlighted in that tweet.

Most people in this pix will jump at opportunity of watching their team play in a more conducive environment like a lounge or decent open bar. Most people will not watch match here of their own volition if they have means to watch elsewhere. As and even as adults we all watched matches in that kind of viewing center, but nowadays most people would prefer to watch on a big screen where there's proper ventilation.
In his response he said he watched there in time past. Did he watch in that specific viewing center?

There are neat viewing centers that have good ventilation. Viewing centers are all around. If one is dirty you look for a neat one.

But the truth is whether u are Nigerian or from another country, the average human will embrace comfort when small money enter their hand na.

At least we all see how the lifestyle of footballers change once they start making big money whether they are African or white.
I've not being to the viewing center more than 5 times this year. E no mean say people wey dey go the one for my area dey broke.

Some people don form relationships there. Na there then go get chance discuss with their guys.

Not everyone knows there is nairaland to discuss games.

This thing na preference no be poverty. I'm sure that guy that tweeted that nonsense doesn't even follow games week in week out.

Is there an element of truth in what he's saying or his opinion is far from the true picture of things in present naija context?
I watched a skit that portrayed how Nigerians act when small money enters their hands.

This is an example.

Not really though...
Fati's injury was as a result of a very poor tackle from Mandi in a Laliga match not because of over playing. It's like saying Eduardo Da Silva declined because of over playing. A single tackle can alter your career. It's what happened to Fati.

Bojan played alot but he left Barca fully fit to Roma. At the time of his departure, he was behind, Messi, Pedro, Villa. He was never gonna play meaningful games there. Has nothing to do with over playing. He himself said that he suffered confidence issues and anxiety which contributed to his poor form.

Dos Santos was never gonna be key for Barca. He was like them Jeffren, Abde, Tello, Cuenca and co. He could dribble and that's it. He left Barca fully fit with no issues and joined Tottenham.

Gavi is the only one who actually played alot on your list. but he himself suffered ACL. You over play, you don't over play, you can get ACL. The Liverpool kid who got ACL didn't play much in Italy. First game at Liverpool, boom ACL.

You're right though, Barca must manage Yamal well if not nah Ben Arfa way e go be...
My response to his post wasn't just about injuries but letting him know your club have failed to manage some of the world biggest youngsters properly.

None of these players you mentioned are 50% the talent Lamine Yamal is.

As for Messi, he had a lot of muscle injuries at the beginning of his career, missing over 40 games between 2005 and 2007. This was why he wasn't available for selection. He was already comfortably better than everyone else excluding Ronaldinho, who was the undisputed talisman.
We've heard these tales before.

We'll be here to see how it goes.

FC Barcelona managed a certain Lionel Messi and he went on to become the GOAT. I think the club knows a thing or two about managing young players to achieve their full potential, more than anyone here ever can.
Was the whole burden put on his shoulder? When Messi was 18 he was not getting as much game time as Yamal. Even when he was 19. He started getting a lot of games when he was 20.

Do you know how many careers your club have managed to destroy after Messi?

Bojan, Dos Santos, Gbavi, Fati.

Wetyn concern me. Na una downfall I dey after sha

Can you tell us what you achieved as an 18yr old teenager? Probably living in your parent's house and off of them, which is not bad. Most of us did as well.

But you look at a prodigy like Lamine Yamal, who didn't even have a bad game yesterday. Assuming Kounde converted the exquisite through pass he threw to him, I am not sure you will be saying what you're saying now.

You shouldn't expect him at his age, to perform in each and every game at the stratospheric level. Not even Messi performed at such a level in each and every game he played.

Something I want you to remember whenever you want to criticise Lamine, is that he is still a teenager and that he's being prepped for two-decade long domination.
I'm sure you are 40 years, what have you achieved for you to criticize other adult players?

Someone is raising concerns about your player and you are talking about his personal life.

Two-decade long domination indeed.

Go and check all the players who started being key players at his age and when they ended.

If you people don't manage him well you won't even get six years from him.
