Good AM NLers, I just need suggestions on the best way to share 'tweaks' since anytime it comes to nl it eventually becomes blocked. It's no news that network operators have agents here and I also blame it on the childish and 'stupid' acts of some members that call CC to indirectly report themselves which eventually leads to blocking d stuff. I have one that I ve been using for sometime now and I ve shared with ppl around including a telecom expatriate. Pls don't start sending me emails especially if I don't know you personally, I want to share but pls suggest d best possible workable way. NB: operators agents pls stay of my thread, thanks for understanding. |

I don't know if there is a similar thread here but pls I would appreciate informed opinions only. I own a 99 Camry which is 3 months old now and I have been petting like a baby it's my 2nd car 1st was the same 99 Camry. I was supposed to travel with it for the first time to d village this morning(21th) but my wife had a dream similar to what I have heard and seen on NL hear. May sound funny but I know my wife better and I don't joke with her dreams, about d car being snatched at gun point. Pls I would appreciate advice on a non-Toyota alternative to this car. I shouldn't keep a car that won't give me rest of mind to go anywhere and park with minimum security. Thanks. |

Has any of u condemning The President given it a thought that this could be a private hospital? because phcn went off so what? dose it not happen in other climes I.e power going off. @ ikenna and @ Burger01 Thanks a lot. I shuttle between ibadan and lagos for work and don't really ve much time for myself. The issue is D̶̲̥̅̊aτ̲̅ while driving normally with or without AC d temp dose not go beyond d mid point only observed d over heating twice now,once with fans permanent but •̸№ thermostat and yesterday with fans reverted and thermostat intact. Remember told u D̶̲̥̅̊aτ̲̅ did d thermostat pot test and I̶̲̥̅̊†̥̥ was opening and closing. There A̶̲̥̅̊я̲̣̥ε̲̣̣̣̥ two connectors at d right hand side of the radiator,d upper one is directly connected to d closer fan while d lower one when connected causes the two fans to work automatically so I̶̲̥̅̊†̥̥ was d later he disconnected and had to connect I̶̲̥̅̊†̥̥ myself after seeing this threadm d thermostat was return back by d same mechanic D̶̲̥̅̊aτ̲̅ removed I̶̲̥̅̊†̥̥ earlier and yes my car wasn't over heating was just advised to do so since did same to d first car, was even saving for a double-cell radiator....lol Its not funny guys pls help me out. wish anyone here can give me a number to reach them on probably may explain better. |

Ikenna351: It appears you don't really have the confidence to run that car with the factory cooling system connection. If you believe that the state which you left the cooling system of your former car was better, you can always revert to it. Its your car, we don't have the right to dictate to you how to use her. Its a choice you the owner has to make.Auto electrician, after dabbling with d relays which later returned to their original position d only thing he did was disconnect d lower socket attached to d body of radiator which I later reconnected. This car is just 2weeks old now and am not saying I prefer d way my old car was, if I did I won't be on dis thread cos I ve learnt a lot from ppl like u. Pls how can I do d bleeding and can I call u? What time wld be appropriate? Thanks a lot. |

You have air trapped in the cooling system while refilling the system after re-installing the thermostat. You need to bleed the air out.Pls how do I bleed d system? Ikenna351: Go through the below link first:Oga Ikenna Pls I did d pot test of d thermostat and discovered it was opening and closing. I ve replaced it and d fan connection reverted, drove from lagos to ibadan with my eyes on d temp gauge and it never went above half mark but as I disengaged d gear and alighted to open d gate I came bck to d car and realized d gauge was hitting red mark, pls what would have caused it? |

Am feeling so ashamed of my ignorance now, Yesterday on my way to the mechanic's workshop which is more than 45km I reconnected the fans to its original state without the thermostat in it, I noticed that while in traffic my car started to overheat, immediately I had to put the fans back to constantly on, got there picked my thermostat he wasn't around I went straight for a steam wash of my radiator and I observed the temperature gauge thosenot get to half mark again. Am still using the stock single cell radiator. Am going to put back the thermostat and revert the fan connection but pls how would I know if the thermostat is bad and where can I get the one replace? 82degrees C is written on it. Can I revert the fans now without the thermostat? Thanks all. |

alpha conde: If u keep the themostat in ur car ur car will be confused since nigeria isn't an extremely cold place, so when its hot ur car will over heat. Ur mech is right. Some Pple asking u not to remove it don't even know where a themostat is in their car neither do they know the function.Thanks I have also permanent the two fans to blow the moment i start the engine, how about changing to double cell radiator? my engine does not over heat but am advised it may over heat on long travels. |
