. Good evening bros, please what is the lowest number mber of days for secondary market.. for example, primary market minimum is 3 months( after 3 months, I get my money back) but what is it for secondary market
If I may answer this you can get up to 12, 14, 28,etc days. The Tenure are way flexible. If you are not investing in a year instrument in tbills, please use the secondary market for your own sake.

Rate or yield?

Yield. Discount is around 20%
Investment / Re: Treasury Bills In Nigeria by Odunharry(m): 6:30pm On Jun 12
presiade:

Lol no. The true yield of a 20% pa rate at a commercial bank is higher than what investment firms will offer because they won’t pay upfront interest.
Lmao who told you they don't pay upfront interest?
You have options of discount rate(Upfront) and Yield(Backend).. Dey play well well

Only on FD, dividends e.t.c.

These are the usual fees on Tbills. Commision 0.125%, custody 0.10%, transaction fee N100, VAT 5% on commission, custody and transaction fees.

T. Bills is Included.
Investment / Re: Treasury Bills In Nigeria by Odunharry(m): 10:04am On May 31
freeman67:

All those fees put together is no where near the WHT. I have not done TB for a while so I know may have changed. However, as the time I did, TB was exempted from WHT.
TB was exempted but a circular was also released last two years or so by FIRS for WHT to be charged

I think Banks charges those fees on the transaction.

Investment one only charge the 10% WHT on interest.

Please I'm kinda confused

I purchased TB of 300k for 182 days at access bank today at the rate of %14. My thoughts was I would be debited around 258k but they just debited me 279,800.

I thought since it's at %14, I should be getting 42k
There's always 10% WHT on the interest.

I am not sure it’s successful because she told me straight this morning I have just called my first bank account officer for secondary auction now and he is saying 19 percent for 349 days . Pls is the rate fair enough because I have not done this before
You can get up to 24% though secondary market
Investment / Re: Treasury Bills In Nigeria by Odunharry(m): 11:54am On May 25
freeman67:

19% is very ok considering the fact that most of their successful in the primary market have stayed around that rate.
Secondary market for a year around Thursday was over 24%. Depending on the bank or house you are using

Please can someone explain this to me, I bought some treasury bills through Stanbic IBTC bank although this is my first time, I discovered that the money was moved from my main balance but I did not receive the interest and the money that was moved did not reflect in my transaction details. As anyone experience this or is it how it works please.
Send a mail to stanbic. Hope you have your investment letter

I was in GTB today and was told it's from 50m upwards for primary market henceforth and was given the option of secondary market.
First Bank and Zenith told me 1m upwards. Plz, is this the case or was I misinformed?
You were not misinformed.

. Please what is the difference between primary and secondary market
Both are market where TBILLS are sold. The primary market always has a longer tenure and higher rate most cases.

The secondary market you get rates each working day but the Treasury bills primary auction is held every two weeks. In rare cases, weekly

The passport I did in Port Harcourt since February is not yet. The man that linked me up to do it has been telling me this since April it was supposed to be out

It's a 32 pages passport renewal and I don't understand anymore what the problem is. Can someone help me, what can I do to get this passport. I am seriously in need of it
Good Morning., Did you try tracking online or going to the passport office?
