You are very right. Some masses of Nigeria who should understand that we have only two political parties namely, we and them. That is, we the masses and them the politicians. Irrespective of political party they belong, they are one in the act of kleptocracy. They don't really care about us but they know how to divide us for their own selfish interest.

It is so pathetic and myopic to say the least how some of our fellow compatriots give political colouration to every action of this administration even when such decision is not impulsive but borne out of patriotism.

The current Chief Justice of Nigeria, justice Walter Nkanu Onnoghen was accused by the code of conduct bureau of operating foreign account in dollars, pounds sterling and euro currencies. He's also accused of not declaring some of his assets prior to his appointment and confirmation as the Chief Justice of Nigeria which run foul of the code of conduct act. To this end, justice Onnoghen himself issued a press statement to confirm the so said allegations even before the commencement of his trial before the justice Yakubu Danladi led code of conduct tribunal(CCT) tomorrow.

Some Nigerians who cry more than the bereaved seem to turn their blind eyes to the confessional press statement issued by the CJN himself. This make one to wonder why some of our country men, for political exigencies will allow political sentiments to becloud their senses of objectivity.

The presidency only adviced the CJN to vacate the seat in order to allow for a fair and uninterrupted judgement to be dispensed in the course of his trial. This singular admonision by presidency incured unconstructive criticisms from some quarters that decided to lampoon PMB and his administration rather than commend the administration for unearthing this type of hydra headed "blue murder" which has been rearing its ugly head in our judicial parlance, hence, being a clog in the wheel of our judicial administration. It takes only a good and upright judge to dispense justice fairly. Little wonder they are referred to as custodians of the law. They are expected to live above board at all time.

One can look back and commend past judges in Nigeria who left their foot prints in the sand of time. Such judges like justice Niki Tobi, justice Oputa, justice Idris Kutugi, justice Ayo Isa Salami et al whom did not because of self aggrandisement compromise and abuse power constitutionally bestowed in them. They were men of integrity in their own right who raised the bar of our judicial system.

Divide and rule tatics is a very wicked instrument of manipulation employed by some people to fulfill their selfish intention in a manner of whipping up ethnic/religious sentiments in a desperate bid to breaking any form unity of purpose that exist amongst the people.

However, this instrument of manipulation is not limited to the political realm; prevalent in our place of work, religious houses and communities we live in.

Most pertinent to note is our political space, our political leaders have perfected the art of using this wicked tactic pitch us against each other so as to gain political advantage. For clearity, a politician in a state or community dominated by Muslim faithfuls will ensure he do everything humanly possible to pit those Muslims against the Christians and vise-versa by making them know their differences which were never a problem in the past, most especially when those fellows are gullibles who can't see beyond their noses. In a twinkle of an eye, people that have been living in peace and tranquility prior to that time will suddenly engage themselves in avoidable chaos and violence.

My Take: it is important for each and everyone of us to close ranks, eschew ethnoreligion sentiments, embrace peace and allow peace to reign supreme in our engagement with our neighbours. Even though our political beliefs may differ, we should always learn how to tolerate ourselves and no wicked politician(s) should becloud our senses of reasoning as we ushering a new year which climax with a General election.

I am an Osun State University graduate that has just been posted to Benue state to serve his father land. Actually, that is what driving against traffic (one way) leads to. Because you must be insane to be driving against trafTfic. It is a suicide mission and also endangers the lives of other drivers. While I still feel sorry for her and her family, I consider that she must be literate enough to know that she had committed an offense/crime, stay cool and get the booking. Rather than flee the crime scene. Running away from a crime scene would only get you to commit another crime. Her actions led to the death of the LASTMA officers whether is was her vehicle or some other person's vehicle.b

And all evidence proves that the windshield of the danfo was smatched.. I don't see any reason the banker shuld be prosecuted for what she is innocent of.. Let's be fair in adjudication cus only is d best judge..
