I will not go back and forth. However, I am talking about a commonly held opinion which could as well be a stereotype. Nobody calls Igbo dirty...this is the first time I am hearing this. What people have severally heard and the commonly held opinion in Nigeria and abroad is that Igbos are generally dirty and have an Igboish pungent smell.I am being frank here.
Look at Abia,Onitsha,Aba, etc even when they invaded Lagos in millions,the Yorubas knew some pigs have arrived.
Recently some Igbos were chased out of a plane just because they were dirty and have their natural smell which of course is pungent Some Igbos have to use a sizeable amount of fragrance to keep that smell off them.I am being frank.Yoruba landlord detest taking them as tenants because of their dirtiness.

Ibadan no even reach small Nnewi for well-planned urban living or layouts, visit the small town of Abriba in Abia state and marvel at the magnificence of what a well planned enclave should look like... I haven't even mentioned Enugu, Awka, Owerri, even Ebonyi with the lowest federal allocation looks far more urbanized than Ibadan. I keep telling you clowns that apart from Lagos, no other southwest state can beat any state in the East on any sustainable index of development, human development index, quality of life, and average standard of living. I've been to many rural parts in the Southwest where every square mile is a litter of shanties, mud-houses, and a few sprinkling of any sort of civilization... na so bush full everywhere with people looking like poverty-stricken relics from 1902... When I start to post all the pictures I've taken and saved on my file archives, it will go against the ethic of my profession which is strictly humanitarian... but I'm been tempted to do so at these point.
