There is never a time Nigeria is going to get it right if we continue to use the fraudulent 1999 constitution.
No matter the regime change, the situation will remain the same or worsen over time.

The leaders knew all of these. Most of them opposed the 2014 NATIONAL CONFERENCE because they already foresaw that it is not going to favor their interests and will affect their political ambitions.

One would be tempted to think that President Mohammed Buhari as a self acclaimed Agent of Change will look into the conference and at least see one good reason to adopt some of its resolutions. Painfully, the whole thing was abandoned courtesy of the 'Fight against corruption'.

Today, the country is on the verge of collapse. It is clearly divided along many lines; the elites and the commoners, the commoners and the insurgents in the North-East, West, herdsmen in the Middle belt of Nigeria, Kidnappers and armed robbers in the entire nation not to mention the undue religious tensions. None of it matters to the leaders, what matters to them is who will be the next President in 2023. That is all!

Now let us ask ourselves some salient questions:

1 What is Nigeria's Problems from your own perspective?

2. What music and Drama do you think they are going to sing and act that will be different from 2015 and 2019?

3. Have the Nigerian State been fair to her citizens since the end of first Republic?

4. Have your 5 time daily prayers and Sunday Sermons stopped them from looting the national treasury?

5. You said it is the turn of Muslims or Christians. Who are those now in power? Are they the devil you hate or the saints you wish for?

6. Have our tribes been able to solve our problems? Since a candidate has to be of our tribes or religions or both to be a good candidate.

7. In almost every state, is the highest level of poverty not often recorded in the ethnic groups who usually produce the political actors?

8. In every Muslim or Christian dorminated state, is there a secret economic plan that excuses the practicers of the dominant religions from the hardship every citizen of those states face?

9. Can nepotism and falsehood breed truth and brotherhood?

10. Can a nation governed by an unjust law grow a disciplined and civilized citizenry?

11. When our constitution is a lie, how can you expect the truth? Is the constitution not long overdue for holistic rework?

12. Can a nation prosper and progress without transforming policies and programmes?

In Nigeria, we love our religion more than we love God. We ask for 'integrity' but only inline with our religious inclinations.
Now we have a Mr. Integrity along with a Pastor. What a perfect combination! It beats the 1993 Abiola Muslim-Muslim ticket. But yet, our problems became more complex.

The 'clueless and incompetent' Goodluck Jonathan is gone. The north accused him of being behind Bokoharam. The west called him clueless and the most incompetent that must be thrown out. He is gone for good. Here now, you and I, who are we?

Now, what do we need?

Let us think about these.
1. Have you thought about the constitution?
2. Would a regime change help us?
3. Don't you think that the system need to be overhauled?

Our loves, likes and support for any leader or regime based on sentiments of tribes or religions without speaking out for the truth, will only end in futility.

Our constitution need to be reworked and restructured. This is the only penance for peace and progress.

Kogi State Governor, His Excellency Yahaya Bello has directed all political office holders to hand over to the most senior civil servant in their ministry, department and agency (MDA).

The statement signed by the Secretary to the State Government, Dr Folashade Arike Ayoade notes that the following categories are exempted from the above directive for now;

All honourable commissioners, Director-General (Government House Administration)

Direct Aides of the Governor
Direct aides of the Deputy Governor
Aides of the Chief of Staff
Aides of Her Excellency, the Wife of the Governor and the aides of her Excellency, the Wife of the Deputy Governor.
