what of PETER OBI,
The originator, founder and the 1st
beneficiary of Governors tenure elongation
bid was Peter Obi. Infact he manufactured
tenure elongation in Nigeria. We all knew it
was wrong ab initio. Now that the judiciary
ve saved its face. I think Peter Obi should
also resign from office and immediately
hand over to the speaker.
What do u think?

Politics / Fuel Subsidy Removal: The Whole Truth by Ofido(m): 3:37pm On Jan 05, 2012
FUEL SUBSIDY REMOVAL, The Whole Truth.

Lets face it ''What is the cost of drilling one litre of crude?'', ''What is the cost of refining a litre of fuel?'', ''How much does it take to build a working refinery of about 100,000 barrel output per hour?'', ''How much is fuel sold per liter in other oil producing countries?''.

When the hon. Minister of subsidy removal ngozi okonjo iwela as i call her disclosed the details of how crude is exported, refined and imported back, she presented to us Nigerian the cost of export and import but she intentionally omitted the cost of refining this crude. When the question was put to her ''wat is the cost of refining crude oil per barrel?'' she never answered that question.

I was in Warri Delta State in March 2011, the local boys has local refinaries located in every part of the town and they refine crude locally but illegally as our senseless government wil say. I spend close to two weeks in there different camps studying how local refining of crude works. I was very well marvelled at ther simple locally made oven technology used to cook this crude, and brother u need to see the better quality of fuel, kerosene and diesel this young boys including women in some camp produce, the 1st question i asked myself was ''if this can be done locally with very little capital like this, then why is our government deceiving us?'' because the way government talks about building a refinery i was thinking it takes like 1000 heads of virgins and 500 eggs of a goat to build one. The only thing government and they accomplist knows how to do best is to use ship to move these crude every morning to the high sea then transload it to a bigger and zoom off to overseas, every morning there call it BADGE, the ship moves in badges escorted by angry looking security personnel to the high sea and gets it offloaded to the bigger ship, off to an unknow refinery outside Nigeria which if u check well it is owned by a Nigerian.

This local boys buys crude oil at the rate of 3,500naira for a drum of 220liters. After refining ther sale at 10,500 per drum. If u divide 10,500 by 220 liters u wil get 47naira per litre. Ther sale fuel for 6,300 per drum which gives u 28naira per litre. In a scale production it is so cheap, if it it produced in a large scale we all knw it wil be cheaper so who is deceiving who?.

Then coming to why our three refineries is not working i ve said the fed. Govt. read by Badluck sorry Goodluck lack the liver and are not sincere with us. In 2008, fed. Govt. awarded a contract of 1.1billion u.s dollars for a TAM(turn around maintenace) of the three refineries, today the refineries are not still working and no body was asked wher is the money given to u to make this refineries work, probably the boyz are bigger than all of us put together. Now the Fed. Govt. Under GEJ jst proposed aother TAM of 2billion u.s dollars when Niger Republic built a refinery with 200million u.s dollars, who is deceiving who?. My dear is fed. Govt. Cant build a refinery then let then allow this boyz run ther local refineries, after its an example of a smale scale industry. it wil creat more jobs and the products wil be in adeguate supply and cheaper.

Lets look at cost of fuel in other OPEC country members per liter, Saudi Arabia $0.12(18naira). Kuwait $0.79(32naira), United Arab Emirate $0.37(57naira), Venezuala $0.5(7naira), Quatar $0.22(34naira), Iran $0.42(17naira), Algeria $0.20(31naira). Then why is ours different.

Another food for thought is this, since the Govt. Claims ther borrow money to do subsidy that is to say, all the project ther claim ther wil execute when the subsidy is removed, the money wil also be borrowed. All na the same borrowing.

Politics / Anambra State Election Tribunal Panel 2, Have Proved To Be Agents Of Acn. by Ofido(m): 12:23pm On Nov 11, 2011
ANAMBRA STATE ELECTION TRIBUNAL PANEL 2, HAVE PROVED TO BE AGENTS OF ACN.

As the corruption in our judicial system lingers, one wonder if there is any hope for the common man in the court room. Some weeks back when The All Progressive Grand Alliance Party, APGA wrote a petition to the president of the court of appeal allegeing that the Anambra state election tribunal panel 2 has been compromised by the Action Congress of Nigeria ACN, having traced the origin of the panel's chairman and the fact that the woman was made a judge by Bola Tinubu and that the panel was constituted by Salami.

We Anambrarians said its mere speculations but jst yesterday the tribunal danced naked to the market, delivered a judgement which even a common man can only but describe as a fraud.

The Idemili South House of Assembly Election of the 26th April 2011 was charaterised with violence, voting by unaccredited persons and snachting of election material in some polling unit of Ojoto ward is an established fact. In most area's like in Afor hall the thugs wher over powered by the police men and the election continued. After the election it was alleged that the orinating results forms EC8A1 collated at the booth was not used to compile the ward result form EC8B1. Bogus scores wher allocated to the Apga candidate and he got about 4,635 only in Ojoto Ward. At the constituency collation center that nigth the ACN candidate Ebele Obi complained and also stated in writing of over voting in ojoto ward. The PDP candidate Sir Ifeanyi Igwe complained of changing most originating results and using fake booth results to manufacture bogus scores which was collated by the ward collation officer for the Apga team which collabulated with the report of the police and that of the SSS. After sorting the opinion of all the stake holders present, the constituency collation/returning officer rejected the Ojoto ward results already collated and requested for a re-run in the said ward.

Apga candidate and his thugs protested the cancellation and asked to be declared the winner since if Ojoto ward vote is added to his 3,241 votes scored in the other 11 wards he wil be leading in the votes with 7,876, PDP= 6,723 and ACN=6,701.

On the 6th of May, instead of INEC to conduct a re-run in the Ojoto Ward, INEC conspired with the peter obi apga lead govt. And declared the Apga candidate Tony Uche-Ezekwulu winner.

The PDP candidate filled a petition, applied to INEC for a certified true copies (c.t.c) of the results used to declare the Apga candidate winner. Upon issuance of the results he discovered that the original result forms EC8A1 (polling unit results) on INEC custody was the true reflection of election results and he the PDP candidate scored the highest number of votes. But in the Ojoto ward collation results, bogus unearned figures wher used in favour of the Apga candidate.

The ACN who also saw that the true results of Ojoto shows the PDP candidate in the lead only asked the court to stand on the earlier decision of the returning officer and order for a re-run in the Ojoto ward since the Ojoto result has become controversial. The PDP candidate asked to be declared winner of the election since the originating results form EC8A1 showed he won on the ground.

On the point of Law, the issue in contention is ''Do the returning officer have the powers to cancelled an already collated result from a ward?'' The answer is NO (case of Sen. David mark 2007).

The judgement delivered yesterday, the judges said they beleived the witnesses called by the PDP candidate of how the thugs changed the main results after collation at the polling unit. There went ahead to accept the fact that the PDP candidate dully applied to INEC to be issued a C.T.C of the election results and it was issued to him.
They now concluded that since the Ojoto results is in contention that it is beter to cancel the Ojoto ward result. Instead of the panel to order a re-run election in the ward since the ward has a voting strenght of 12,000 (twelve thousand) registered voters, there went ahead to declare the ACN candidate winner who is only leading with 200(two hundred) votes.

What a miscarriage of justice!!!, naturally since the margin is just two hundred and the voters at stake is twelve thousand representing almost 12.5% out of 98,000 registered voters of the local government, there should have ordered a re-run.
