When I see this kind of post I just laugh. It's easy to spot an ignorant post. Probably you may not be working for someone because this type of post is high in ignorance. What kind of talk is this. Just imagine after working in a place for 25 years then your employer can just decide to fire you without no benefit because he has the right to hire and fire. Even federal or state government do not have that right. Even workers protection is very poor in Nigeria because you can't try some things going on here in Europe or USA. They will sue you and you will pay big. They are rules of disengagement those rules are to protect workers. Here in Nigeria you see people employing and sacking for no good reasons. Some dubious employers that have become their style because nobody is fighting for such vulnerable people in the society and you have normalised such wickedness in your post. Think beyond the box.

While you guys a jumping and clapping for Dangote, the staffs are very unhappy. You won't write all these if you were working there. Dangote sacked all 85 staffs that helped Dangote during the start up. After a successful start up the rewards for all of them was sacking them then replacing all of them with Indians. He under pays his workers. Now he has sacked over 800 staffs for joining Union. Where is there no Union in the world. Lack of knowledge and information make you guys speak this way.
Union is what check the excesses of employers otherwise they will pay workers peanut, with disregard to safety and terrible working conditions.
If Dangote staffs or any other company subject their staffs to extremely bad working conditions based on risk assessment. It's Union that can intervene otherwise terrible CEO's will take advantage of such loopholes to stifle workers and they won't have a say.

Before commenting on Dangote issues I must say that nairaland is becoming too reckless for banning someone for making an harmless statement. I was shocked for what I was ban for. That was crazy. Is the word gateman a bad word. I don't get that. Is gateman not an employable position that I will be ban for saying probably the person was a gateman there. I have told myself that I won't stay in this toxic place beyond this year. It's become absurd with I am been banned for every now and then.

1) did pengassan or dapman borrow dangote money to build his refinery.

2) did dangote enter into any alliance or partnership with these two unions to run his refinery?

3) does the Nigerian labor law allow unions to bully entrepreneurs who willingly invest their hard earned money in business ventures

You are only asking this question from a position of an ignorant person about what happens in Nigeria industries. We need stronger unions to stop some of this illegality going on where you can just hire and fire people for no good reason. Also for slavery salaries and subjecting staffs to difficult or impossible target.

Please don't even support this pengassan criminals bro this is my industry, this guys are criminals they have caused a lot damage to oil and gas industry in Nigeria. Shell sold all their onshore assets is because of this guys awards all sorts contracts to themselves and cronies declared productive wells non productive turn around sold to their friends. They are evil if dangote want to succeed he must not allow them to occupy strategic positions in his company. NNPC is not working is because of this guys.

Then we should now support Dangote that is doing same evil to Nigeria workers. If you don't have anyone that has worked them find out yourself about Dangote refinery. They under pay their workers. There is no where in the world that you don't have workers Union. Without Union the owner of companies will suppress their workers and they won't have a say. If you have worked in Dangote refinery you won't say all these. Those who have worked there won't support you in whatever way. Look at how Asians enslave Nigerians in many part of the country, people working under bad conditions with poor salary.
