Jesus said:

“How difficult it will be for those having money to make their way into the Kingdom of God!  It is easier, in fact, for a camel to get through the eye of a sewing needle than for a rich man to enter the Kingdom of God.” Luke 18:24-25

So according to Jesus the word of God it's the rich that has serious issues when it comes to entering God's Kingdom not the poor because he that is down need fear no fall. The so called "PASTOR" in question is not a servant of God but a messenger of Mammon {Matthew 6:24} disguising as minister to Christ! 2Corinthians 11:14

May you have peace!🙂
The scripture that you quoted there did not end there.
You guys speak as if God want Christians to be poor in the earth.

Mark 10:28-39

28 Then Peter spoke up, “We have left everything to follow you!”
29 “Truly I tell you,” Jesus replied, “no one who has left home or brothers or sisters or mother or father or children or fields for me and the gospel
30 will fail to receive a hundred times as much in this present age: homes, brothers, sisters, mothers, children and fields—along with persecutions—and in the age to come eternal life.
You don't save good to become empty. What have you give to God he gives you back.

New Living Translation
Give, and you will receive. Your gift will return to you in full—pressed down, shaken together to make room for more, running over, and poured into your lap. The amount you give will determine the amount you get back. Luke 6:38

Matthew 6:31-33 (KJV) Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?
(For after all these things do the Gentiles seeksmiley for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.
But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

Money is the new God worshipped by these new generation churches... So the rich cannot sin? This daft doesn't even know Pride is a sin. The daft also do not know that Riches can also make someone disregard God.

He is so daft and infested with the devil that they are misleading people to hell. Him and all his fellow Nigerian pastors!
Why are you so pained and misinterpreting is statement. He opined that poverty makes people vulnerable. In a thousand years to come that statement will remain a valid statement. However, both the rich and poor do commit sin.
Look at how people sell vote during election for as low as 1k. If you are a rich man will you do that. Even good people will compromise due to severe difficulty which they will not do if they have money.

So for the fact that they were not able to pursue riches on earth means that they did not fulfill their purpose of God for them?

So while Jesus was on earth, did he fulfill the purpose of God even though he was poor?
Your question is no longer a question it's more a silly conversation now. Why should I continue answering same question again. I already told you that they fulfilled God's purpose for their lives.

You are the ignorant one, where is the promise of earthly riches.
Jesus promise new spiritual family and shared possession within the Christian community is not a promise of earthly riches in Mark 10:28-29.
Proverb 10:22 is not a promise for the riches of this age.

Wordly riches is not guaranteed, it is not the riches of christ.

You just exposed your ignorance on the gospel of Christ.
Christ never became poor for you to have the riches of this present world, that is a satanic doctrine.
Remain poor then.

So the disciples then were not rich even though Jesus was poor on earth for them to be rich? If yes, are you saying that 2 Corinthians 8:9 was not for Jesus's disciples?
Are you saying that they did not fulfill the purpose of God for their lives?
I don't know what is difficult for you to understand. Whatever thing they became was up to them. They chose the life that they want at the end of the day. I just use a simple illustration to conclude this matter and yet you are still asking a question that the answer is before you.
Didn't Jesus died for the salvation of mankind. But will all men be saved? Not all will be saved. It's up to them to accept and work in the provision of God.
It's about the kind of life they also want for themselves and the conditions of that time.

‭Hebrews 11:36-38 NIV‬
[36] Some faced jeers and flogging, and even chains and imprisonment. [37] They were put to death by stoning; they were sawed in two; they were killed by the sword. They went about in sheepskins and goatskins, destitute, persecuted and mistreated— [38] the world was not worthy of them. They wandered in deserts and mountains, living in caves and in holes in the ground.
‭Hebrews 11:39 NIV‬
[39] These were all commended for their faith, yet none of them received what had been promised,

That scripture was the situations of many during that time.
We knew how the disciples were killed. The world they lived then was too toxic for them to even pursue riches.

Truthseeker10:
So Jesus disciples who were with him did not accept him and live a blessed life?
Since Jesus was poor on earth, did he live a blessed life?
When you talk about a blessed life it can be relative. It goes from individual to individual. A man could have a little and he is fulfilled some will have more and they are not yet fulfilled. Jesus is the blessing and he lived a fulfilled life.
Some people may have what I have and be fulfilled but I am not fulfilled. Does that mean that I am not living a life of blessing? I am but it's yet to take me to where I am. Does that mean that I am not happy? Yes I am happy but still I am not where I should be. So the question is this. What do you really want? But the greatest is fulfilling God's purpose for your life.
For the disciples to even be rich then was very difficult. They were taken from prison to prison. You saw how Paul was killing and jailing the disciples then. So they were constantly moving from one place to another preaching and spreading the gospel.
Right now Christians are more stable so it's easy to pursue careers, business etc as a Christian now then that time.

🤣🤣🤣What are you even saying? Are you saying that Jesus and his disciples were not rich while on earth?
Does not the bible teach you that Jesus was poor on earth to make his disciples rich?
As far as the gospel is concerned Jesus died for all men. Does that mean all mean will accept him. As far as the gospel is concerned God has blessed all Christians. Does that mean all will live a blessed life. That is what that scripture reflect. It's up to them to be rich or poor. The grace was released already.

Christ did not become poor for you to have the riches of this world, this is a satanic gospel preached in these dens of thieves.

2 corithins 8:9 is not talking of worldly riches.

You don't even know the gospel, it is such a shame.
You are just being ignorant. What do you mean by the riches of this world. Did God ever promised is children poverty at any given time. When God began with the children of Israel did he promised them wealth or poverty? Spiritual ignorance or lack of knowledge make some of you to fight what is so clear in the scripture about riches.
Ephesians 3:8
[8]To me, though I am the very least of all the saints (God's consecrated people), this grace (favor, privilege) was granted and graciously entrusted: to proclaim to the Gentiles the unending (boundless, fathomless, incalculable, and exhaustless) riches of Christ [wealth which no human being could have searched out],

Prov 10:22

New Living Translation
The blessing of the LORD makes a person rich, and he adds no sorrow with it.

You don't think this is the gospel with the Bible verse above. Moreover some of you lack knowledge and depth of scripture thereby interpreting things based on your mindset.

Mark 10:28-39

Truthseeker10:
So you are confirming that when Jesus was on earth, he was poor and his disciples were rich according to 2 Corinthians 8:9?
Bro understand the message being rich or poor is up to you. The most important thing is that the gospel has the potential to make someone rich if you are ready to work in that dimensions. The Apostles were not relatively rich because they do not see the need for that because of the day they were. At some point then poverty was like a cover because the authority of those times did not see the church like threat so looking at the history of the church some certain groups were crushed by the government of that time but they left the church alone since they posed no threat.
The point here is that to be rich is up to individuals.

Please, young man, check your facts very carefully and you would find out for yourself, for example, that under military dictator, Sani Abacha, PENGASSAN was given the boot and heaven did not fall.

@hotseat
Young man, this is for your consumption.
You just spoke like it was just ABC.

During military rule, the Petroleum and Natural Gas Senior Staff Association of Nigeria (PENGASSAN) played a significant role in pro-democracy movements by staging crippling strikes that targeted Nigeria's vital oil sector. The most notable of these was a nine-week strike in 1994, which was organized alongside its sister union, NUPENG, in protest of the annulment of the June 12, 1993, presidential election.
Strikes during military regimes
Abacha era (1993–1998): PENGASSAN, alongside NUPENG, became a powerful voice against the regime of General Sani Abacha.
1993: A nationwide strike in August 1993 was a factor that led to military President General Ibrahim Babangida stepping aside and the formation of an interim government.
1994: After the interim government was swiftly replaced by Abacha's military rule, the unions launched another major strike in July. This was aimed at pressuring the government to release and recognize the winner of the annulled election, Chief Moshood Abiola.
The Abacha regime retaliated by imprisoning the unions' leaders and imposing a sole administrator to oversee their affairs.

So the scripture up there confirms that Jesus was poor on earth? If yes, are you saying that Jesus was poor while his disciples were rich on earth?
What that means is that the gospel has the capacity to make one rich if you can diligently do the things that can make you rich according to the gospel. Seek him first, the kingdom of God and every other things shall be added unto you.
Let me drop some verses for you.

1. “BLESSED be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has BLESSED us [past tense!]with every spiritual BLESSING in the heavenly places in Christ, just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love.” –Ephesians 1:3-4 (NKJV)

2. “Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us (for it is written, ‘Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree’), that THE BLESSING of Abraham might come upon the Gentiles in Christ Jesus, that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.” –Galatians 3:13-14 (NKJV)

. “Therefore it is of faith that it might be according to grace, so that the promise[of THE BLESSING] might be sure to all the seed, not only to those who are of the law, but also to those who are of the faith of Abraham, who is the father of us all.” –Romans 4:16 (NKJV)

Once you received christ and the holy spirit into ur life you will definitely start receiving divine ideas and directions on how to be rich and contribute ur own bit to the growth of the church.
This is too high for some to receive. They think poverty is normal not knowing that one of the meaning of the word that was translated to salvation means riches or wealth.

Which Nigeria views 17 years like kid anyways. Those children have taken over our streets. Like they even posed as real adults living recklessly. Those ages in Nigeria now fear them oo.

For generations, Iranians, Afghans, Libyans, lived in their countries without a need to seek pastures anew.
Yet, for close to 20 years, US and UK made sure none of these countries had peace.

As prosperous as Libya was, it has become a rubble.
